"I will not explain much for I don't know if there is any consequence of explaining such things," Silver continued, "Just know that we should try not to act ourselves, but let our toys act."
And so, Umbrella got to action, although a lot more cautious, trying not to interact with anyone. They were, in fact, so cautious that they started creating several new underground Hives.
The Hive is an underground laboratory that Silver attached great importance to as his Umbrella constructs it not only for dangerous bioweapons research but also to keep secrecy as its existence is kept secret from the majority of the people of Umbrella Sanctuary.
However, now he decided to build several more Hives that only the Quintessence knew about, and he needn't human force for the forces of the dead were in his hand.
The Zombie workers are quite hard working, needing no rest nor resources, able to work at all times regardless of the situation. They also can not get sick for they are the disease.
The planned Hives were spread out throughout the state of New York, and are even intruding to the neighboring states, including the state of Pennsylvania.
And all of them were gonna be built about five hundred meters underground, quite deep underground so as to avoid detection.
The Cold Hives, they'll be called, for they'll mostly be inhabited by the dead, and because they'll be dark, no power running within. They'll mostly act as zombies breeding nests.
The main Hive, or what was before the main Hive does have power, only constructed recently with the help of Luscious, using wind power, a form of renewable energy that harnesses the kinetic energy of moving air to generate electricity.
It works through a process that involves the use of wind turbines, which are tall structures with large blades that rotate when exposed to the wind, which were readily available for Umbrella as well, no one else was using them... It's Doomsday after all.
The new main Hive was built not that far away from Umbrella Sanctuary, beneath what was previously Silver's lab, his old lab which was his home before moving to what's now Umbrella Sanctuary.
It's now no longer a lab, nor was there a building anywhere nearby. Silver kinda fucked up an experiment in it, and it somehow turned into a lake of blood and flesh that's quickly expanding.
The entire area turned into a sea of red, the disgusting stench of blood drew many creatures in, not just zombie humans but also animals. The environment was perfect for the ever hungry zombies as they settled in the blood lake.
Such a place would normally be left alone for it's too conspicuous and would certainly attract many eyes, but Silver saw value in it, so he made it worse as he introduced the silver cells into it.
Silver spread his mark into the lake, planning on infecting everything within into his hive mind. He even added several types of fish to it, and in contrast to the other Hives, this one was being constructed about a mile underground.
Normally, constructing even one Hive would cost billions, and a Hive a mile underground would require tens of billions. That's how costly and difficult the operation would be if they weren't in the age of Doomsday.
The circumstances he found himself in are quite special with the entirety of New York's resources available to him on top of the limitless man force of strong restless zombies.
So they got to work right away with the one leading them and giving them instructions being none other than Larrious. Indeed, he isn't able to speak nor is he as intelligent as the average human, but his intelligence is higher than the Zombie Queen and he can instruct zombies through the Hive Mind.
It was more so a test for the special subject that's Larrious as he is so far the only Zombie that was able to handle the complete Silver Cells without breaking down in seconds.
No Zombie had ever come close to being able to handle the intensity of the complete Silver Cells as even the newly created Tyrant could only survive for seven seconds before literally desintegrating.
The complete Silver Cells grant the White Dwarf Cell Physiology, a physique that can continuously get stronger. However, it puts so much pressure on the cells that even Silver can barely handle it.
In fact, the only reason he can handle it is because he lords over the Silver Effect, thus he can micromanage the Silver Cells when he feels something going wrong.
Larrious' Cells, however, when coming in contact with the Silver Cells acted very differently. They transformed, and the Silver Effect within started releasing its boundless energy, but as a result, his cells started evolving way too quickly.
Silver theorized that Larrious before his death and transforming into an abomination was an awakener with what must be a ridiculously strong ability that has something to do with either adaptability or evolution.
The survivors of humanity were still struggling, just beginning to get their bearings back in a world that seeks their death, yet Umbrella was already spreading its clutches throughout the world.
Many aircrafts started their tour around the world, their cargo being nothing but Zombie Queens and their guards, starting by releasing them in each state before moving to other neighboring countries.
And soon, without even realizing it, the World was under Umbrella's watchful eyes. Umbrella was as discreet as possible as they spread the Silver Cells, meaning creating Hive Minds everywhere.
However, the Hive Mind as it is now has a limitation, distance. The active Hive Mind that Silver can sense and communicate through, while big to the point of encompassing the state of New York and its neighboring states, is still nowhere near encompassing the entire World.
The Hive Mind was growing, and the space it encompasses was growing with it, but that would take quite a while, so Silver decided to construct Hive nodes to act as information transmitters, akin to cell towers.
The Hive Nodes would of course be relatively intelligent Zombies that are spread out throughout the World, so theoretically, as long as his Zombies multiplied and scattered, a worldwide Hive Mind would construct itself.
Today would declare the fourth month since the start of Doomsday, since the coming of the Game Of Awakening. It also coincided with another meeting of the Quintessence.
They all seemed very different, not much in appearance, although Loyd and Albert did look quite a bit younger and healthier. They more so had a bearing befitting of their positions.
Just being beside Silver changed them a lot, and the responsibilities he bestowed upon them also forced them to grow, to gain the elecquonce of leaders for each of them rule over their divisions.
Well, except for Natalia and Albert as the two rule over the dead and their creations. That arguably changed them even more, Natalia growing more unstable and Albert growing more stable.
"It's basically confirmed, the awakening points will become useless after a certain point, or maybe, the Game Of Awakening from the start wanted us to focus on the Tomb Of Gods," Natalia pointed out.
Umbrella discovered something recently, or rather, Loyd did as his physique reached five thousand, the strongest physique among all the Quintessence... He found out that he could no longer use his awakening points to increase his physique any longer.
He could, however, increase his other stats that have yet to reach Five thousand, as if that number was the cap of power the Game could grant.
"How did you not discover this?" Albert asked curiously as he eyed Silver, "I assume you have the highest stats among all of us, right?"
"Hmm," Silver stroked his chin as he hummed, "It's complicated." Silver would very much rather not say that he never uses his awakening points, preferring to keep them for later to use them collectively, in which case they would act as a full heal... Yet.
