Ye Fan slumped against a rock, wincing as his ragged breath hit the raw gash across his chest. He glanced at his attribute bar, the stark red number mirroring the exhaustion gnawing at his bones. "37 HP...that was a near-death experience," he muttered, tracing the jagged wound on his arm with a grimace.

But unlike others who'd face days of agonizing recovery, Ye Fan felt a warmth blooming within, a slow tide of regeneration washing over him. Although, he could use the excess amount of vitality to recover instantly but he didn't want to expose his talent to others. So, he let it work naturally but it was already wonderful that he could recover to full state in only an hour.

"An hour," he thought, savoring the knowledge. An hour of rest, and he'd be back at full strength, a feat that would leave others at his level bedridden for days. Gratitude welled within him for this remarkable ability, even if it remained hidden beneath a carefully crafted facade. He closed his eyes, allowing the regenerative energy to work its magic, a silent smile playing on his lips.

Ye Fan glanced at the rest of the team, checking how they fared after the intense battle. "Is everyone alright?" he inquired, concern evident in his voice.

Su Mu, her hands still emitting faint flames, nodded. "We're okay, thanks to you defending against its attacks. That creature was no joke."

Boulder, wiping sweat from his forehead, chimed in, "Yeah, don't know what happened to the mind shadow parasite controlling him suddenly. That turned the tide."

Ye Fan who heard this kept silent and didn't want to expose that he could control the mind shadow parasite. That will bring a disaster for him if society knows.

Boulder, panting heavily, winced as he examined his own injuries. He fished out a recovery potion from his SkyDrive, it's similar to Qi Recovery potion like the one he had before which can help him recover fast, Phew, that was closer than I'd like," he grumbled, popping the cork. "Didn't see that coming, and mutating into... whatever that was. Any thoughts, Shade?"

Ye Fan, wary of revealing the extent of his abilities, chose his words carefully. "Looks like the parasite hijacked the host and triggered some gnarly transformation," he offered, his voice laced with concern. "Dangerous stuff. We need to double down on our guard and report it back to Society."

Raven, reloading her gun, spoke as she was the only one left in relatively good condition, "I'll keep an eye on our surroundings till you guys get better. If there's anything else coming our way, we'll need to be ready by then."

Their words hung in the air, and the team took a moment to catch their breath to recover before they could take any further action. The forest once again shrouded in an eerie stillness, seemed to recover from the chaos that had unfolded.

Ye Fan observed Su Mu as she meditated near the bonfire, the flickering flames casting a warm glow on her serene face without the mask she was wearing before looking very beautiful, if it wasn't for her spiritual ability to control fire, he didn't know how hard it would be to kill the creature with just physical strength.

looking back at his panel, he couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment as he glanced at the upgraded level of his Spiritual Eye. The continuous use of the skill throughout the day had contributed to its improvement.

"Level 3," Ye Fan muttered to himself, a small smile playing on his lips. "The more I use it, the more it evolves. It's a handy skill, that's for sure but I need to learn some combat skills like Boulder's sword technique or else it would be hard to fight, like today using my body alone as a shield it's quite painful."

"I should be able to gather enough points after the mission to buy a sword technique, my priority now is to recover. There are a lot of reserves of vitality and spiritual power accumulate I should be able to try and upgrade some nearby plants to increase my experience without others noticing." After more than an hour of waiting all of his injuries are healed as his health bar reached 100 again.

"Raven, come back and take some rest I'll keep guard for now till Brother Boulder recovers." Ye fan called for Raven, listening to his voice both Su Mu and Boulder who are meditating opened their eyes in shock. looking at the completely recovered Ye Fan couldn't help but marvel.

Su Mu, who was beside him, spoke "Shade, are you sure? you are the one who suffered the most damage just now."

Ye Fan smiled, acknowledging Su Mu's concern. "I appreciate it, Su Mu, but my recovery is surprisingly fast. Don't worry; I'll keep a vigilant eye on our surroundings. We can't afford to let our guard down."

Having received the call, Raven made her way back to the group. She looked at Ye Fan, concern evident in her eyes. "Are you sure you're okay, Ye Fan? That creature was no pushover."

Ye Fan reassured her, "I'm tougher than I look, Raven. Besides, we need everyone at their best for what lies ahead. Take a well-deserved break, and I'll make sure nothing catches us off guard."

Raven nodded, trusting Ye Fan's judgment. As she settled down to rest, his eyes scanning the perimeter of their makeshift camp moved towards the dark forest to watch for any monsters or creatures like before. The night was still, and the eerie silence of the forest pressed in on them, making vigilance a necessity in this mysterious and dangerous environment.

looking around There are tall trees, with moonlight shining through the dense foliage, casting intricate patterns of light and shadow on the forest floor. The air was filled with the nocturnal sounds of unseen creatures, creating a symphony of chirps, rustles, and distant howls.

Ye Fan's senses were on high alert as he continued to scan the surroundings. Spiritual Eye, now at level 3, allowed him to discern more details about the environment and any potential threats lurking in the darkness. The towering trees stood like ancient sentinels, their shadows dancing with the gentle sway of the branches. Moonlight filtered through the dense foliage, casting an ethereal glow on the forest floor. The silver glow highlighted the textures of the tree bark, the patterns on the forest floor, and the subtle movements of nocturnal creatures.

As he advanced further, Ye Fan noticed a peculiar cluster of plants with faintly glowing flowers. The Identification skill provided information about this unique flora.
