Awakening Chamber

As the blinding light faded, Raven found himself in a vast, circular chamber—the walls adorned with intricate symbols and glowing runes pulsing with mana. In the center of the room stood a large, crystalline structure that resembled a fountain, but instead of water, it flowed with a shimmering, iridescent liquid mana.

[Welcome to the Awakening Chamber]

[Calculating rewards for First Ranked Trial: Calibration]

A moment later, text appeared before Raven's eyes:

[Trial Rewards:]

[Combat Rank: C9 (Highest possible for this trial)]

[Tutorial Points: 1000]

[Access to Advanced Training Facilities]

[Mana Bath: Empowered]

[Pre-System Reward Multiplier: x5]

[Familiar Enhancement: Havar's capabilities significantly increased]

The room pulsed with light, and the water from the fountain seemed to glow brighter after the [Mana Bath: Empowered] notification came up.

Raven could also hear Havar suck in a deep breath of air, but as he was about to turn to him, a new series of messages popped up.

[Rewards for First Awakened of Earth:]

[Unique Title: Earth's Progenitor]

[Skill Book: Fundamentals of Realm Magic]

[Rare Equipment: Soulbound weapon (choice) (upgradable)]

[1,000,000 Mana Crystals]

[Bloodline: Acknowledged (Unable to be fully integrated into system parameters)]

[Note: Bloodlines exist outside the system's parameters and cannot be controlled by the system, but they can still be acknowledged and given the rights of bloodliners. There is a big difference between a rogue and an acknowledged bloodliner.]

Raven's eyes widened as he read through the list. He turned to Havar, who seemed glowing with a new power.

"Master, thank you for giving me a new life," Havar said, his voice carrying a newfound intelligence.

"What changed with you, Havar? The system message said you've been given an enhancement?"

"It seems they've not only upgraded my inherited intelligence, they've also upgraded my access to the system itself."

Raven nodded. Raven knew that Havar had some connection to the system, seeing that Havar had knowledge that couldn't be accessed by others—or at least not Raven's own interface.

"Well, you'll have to tell me about what you've learned. But later. First, tell me what bloodlines are, and why does it say it's not within the system's parameters?"

He focused on the last item of his rewards. "Bloodline acknowledged? What does that mean?"

A small notification appeared:

[Your unique bloodline, while recognized, exists outside standard system parameters. Its full potential may manifest in unexpected ways as you grow stronger.]

Raven's mind raced with the implications. His 'gift', the very thing that had made him a subject of cruel experiments, was now his greatest source of power in this new world.

Before he could ponder further, another notification appeared:

[Would you like to view your status?]

"Yes," Raven said, curious to see how he had changed.

As Raven studied his status, he heard Havar start to speak.

"Master, Bloodlines are one of the only things in the Infinite Realms that exist outside the system's control." Havar seemed to squint his eyes, as if he was reading something. "From the knowledge the system has let me access, it seems that there existed some bloodliners as old as the system itself."

Raven raised his eyebrows, a lot of thoughts coming to his mind. But one snuck it's way to the forefront. "Then why did the system tell me about it at all? Assuming my special blood is my bloodline, which means the system didn't give it to me. So why list it as a reward?"

"Master, you are correct that the system didn't give you you're bloodline, but even though it can't control or alter bloodlines, it can control almost everything else. Bloodline acknowledgment gives you certain rights that those who aren't bloodliners don't have. There is a big difference between a rogue and an acknowledged bloodliner.]

"And those are?" Raven asked.

Havar smiled wryly. "That… I don't know Master."

Raven let the thought go but kept the knowledge that the system could 'control' him in the back of his mind.

He had been controlled before and didn't want to be controlled again. If he had a chance, he would escape any control, but so far the system had only helped him.

'Besides, it's not like I'm strong enough to go against something that has the power to send me to another world.'

As he was lost in his thoughts, a doorway thrummed to life before the two men. It glowed and gave off a majestic and imposing might.

"The doorway of Classes," Hazar murmured. "When you step through you will be able to choose your path, Master."

Raven nodded. He took a step toward the door, but paused as he felt an overwhelming desire to turn back and leap into the fountain.

Although Raven hated his gift and wished he was never born with it, he had almost followed what he perceived to be his instincts. Whether it was truly his bloodline or his instincts, he didn't take time to question as he unhesitatingly dashed and leaped into the fountain.

Havar watched his Master in horror. "Master, don't!" The mana fountain was indeed meant for the mana bath, but he hadn't told his Master one thing. He had to choose a Class first.

If he tried to enter the mana bath before choosing a Class, his body wouldn't have anywhere to store the mana, causing it to rampage through his body.

When one got a Class, they got a storage space inside their body for mana, yet right now, Raven had none.

Havar was too late to save his Master and watched with teary eyes as Raven's head plunged below the water's depths.

Havar stepped into the mana bath and swam towards Raven's body, feeling the mana entering his body and being distributed throughout his veins.

Being a system-blessed entity had its perks.

As he reached the spot where Raven's body had entered the water, Havar searched around and tried to find his sure-to-be half-dead body.

"Havar, why are you in here? Did you also feel a calling from the fountain?" Raven asked as he popped his head out of the water on the completely opposite side of the fountain.
