2 It's been how long?!?!

I sigh happily as I look upon my third and final room! I finally did it and it didn't take that long, only feels like maybe a month has passed! But I made a good space I think. I connected my core room to the last room by a tiny tunnel. It's a little cheeky but nobody said I couldn't so I made a tunnel that was the size of maybe a pea and led it into the first room that was a huge rectangle. During the clearing I actually found a weird root and I ate the entire thing! It was so tasty, it was like a mix of butter fried potato's and I was sad when it disappeared but after I finished I got a notice like the pixie bones that it was called a pulpfruit and is some kind of underground veggie. After making the massive room I made a side room next to it that was a circle that I thought could be a good place for a bigger monster for the people to fight and finally a small entry room that I'll just leave empty as a kind of entrance. I think I did pretty good and obviously it counted cus as I finally ate the last corner of the tiny entranceway I got a new prompt from the system.

[Objective Create Three rooms-Complete! Hidden Objective Create Boss room-complete! Retrieving rewards....]

All of a sudden I could feel energy being taken from my core as the bones of the pixie appeared in front of me in a pile. After the last bone appeared a design glowed underneath the bones as they began to float before suddenly glowing brightly, forcing me to look away. As the light dims I looked back to find a lady with small bat like wings on her back. Her skin was a grayish white and her hair was a deep purple and reached her waist. She is very thin but not skeletal, more like delicate like a small doll or a glass sculpture. As I watch the tiny woman I can see her eyes twitching before her eyes open and I notice the deep green of her eyes with flecks of amber mixed in. The small pixie looks around before noticing my glowing core, her eyes shine in delight as she flies to me and sits on top of my core before her voice is heard in my head.

"Master thank you for summoning me! You can ask me any question and I'll do my best to answer! My names Tilly by the way and it's so nice to meet you, but what is your name?" the pixie says as her voice sounds like an excitable women, very calm on the surface but filled with energy and a slight rasp to it.

[Summoning of familiar from useable resources successful! Every dungeon has access to a single familiar that they share a lifelong bond with. These creatures are created to help the dungeon acquire new resources, speak and confide in, and to get information from. All familiars are created with full knowledge on how the dungeons are supposed to work as well as the ability to both show the dungeon it's status as well as being able to leave the dungeon. Familiars use the dungeon energy for their very survival so even though they may leave they can die if they do not return in time.]

'First I'm not your Master Tilly, I'd like us to be more like friends than anything if I'm being honest. It's been very lonely here for the past couple of months so I'm just happy to have someone to talk to!' I think and am happy as I see her smile at my thoughts, relieved to know that she can hear me even though I can't actually talk.

"Very well! Friends we shall be! The best of friends! And I see your name as Kyle in the stats so I'll call you that! But your sense of time is off Kyle, your status says that you've been awakened for exactly 178 years 5 months 13 days 7 hours and 24 minutes, not a few months. I understand that it seems different but it happens when your stuck underground." Tilly says calmly as my mind freezes.

Almost two hundred years...shouldn't I be dead....well can't really kill a rock so makes sense but what about my family back home? Does this mean they've been gone for a long time and I didn't even think about it? How could it be so long without me realizing....I haven't even seen the sun in almost two centuries damnit! How is this fair!

As I keep wallowing at the passage of time all of a sudden I feel a vast warmth spread through me. Focusing myself back to my surroundings I see Tilly wrapping her tiny arms around my core as she whispers reassurances to me in a calm, gentle voice.

'Your right Tilly it's been so long and there's nothing I can really do but move forward while remembering them. Lets get this dungeon opened so I can see what being a dungeon is all about!'

"That's the spirit Kyle! Since I'm your familiar I have the ability to give you rewards you've been granted by the dungeon system and since you made an entryway lets open it up!" Tilly says excitedly as she suddenly shrinks and flies through my cheat tunnel into the big room and quickly makes her way to the entrance.

As she regains her previous size she starts poking at the wall before she slaps it hard once, the entire wall and ceiling rumbles afterwards and a rough staircase begins moving itself upwards as I feel energy draining from my core every few steps. Finally a giant hole appears as the stair stop after twenty steps and I can see outside the hole, run down and broken buildings are in front of the new entranceway as random howls and night noises are heard from outside. Watching the buildings I can see various small silhouettes dashing back and forth from rotted enclosure to broken down house, snickering and voices follow the figures as the make their way further into the decrepit town.

"Looks like our dungeon is in a pretty rough area Kyle. From what we can see just from the entrance there aren't many things that are alive here and when I go outside I can a giant graveyard. This place seems really gloomy too so we'll have to have our eyes open for potential monster minions or adventurers." Tilly says somberly as she flits back through the dungeon and into my core room, once again taking a seat on my core as we begin chatting.

Slowly Tilly teaches me the basics of my dungeon and I learn how to make a small pitfall trap which I place several steps in front of the hallway leading from the entrance room into the big room. I hope something falls into it cus Tilly told me I can get monsters for my dungeon two ways. The first is anything that dies in my dungeon I'll obtain a blueprint for and I can spend my energy to summon that creature. Doing this gets me a creature that will act like it would if it was normal but they're more aggressive and if they die they'll be revived after the group or creature that killed it leaves the dungeon. The second way I can get monsters is if a creature willingly submits itself to me which means it will keep its soul and memories but will no longer be able to leave my area of influence. In exchange these creatures will be able to revive after death in the dungeon and they'll retain all their memories and skills as long as the dungeon survives, she says its like a mutual benefits deal. I get a strong monster that can think, feel, and communicate with me and that monster gets to be immortal until I die.

"Ok that's perfect! Now if you put that root veggie your can make right behind those pitfalls and direct your energy towards them you can make them flower which will attract something that wants to eat them hopefully! If we're lucky whatever comes will fall into the pitfalls and you'll have your first monster!" Tilly says excitedly as I follow her directions and the veggie's start to grow stalks out of the ground and begin flowering almost instantly.

We watch the flowers in depth as the sun and moon cross the sky multiple times before we both grow bored and begin playing guessing games or just talking with each other. After an actual week though I feel a huge burst of energy come into my core and Tilly shudders as she receives a part of the energy before we both turn back to the veggie stalks and see something amazing! In the pitfall trap isn't just one but two creatures that are still squirming and shrieking in pain as their blood begins to pool at the bottom of the pit. Tilly tells me that I can actually inspect any creature that enters my dungeon to get a description and their species name so I try that and it works!

{Species-Castyr Description-Medium sized rodents, Castyr are docile creatures found in area's filled with dark energy. Although omnivorous the common Castyr uses their blunted teeth to mainly fill it's belly with it's favorite snack which are bones. Castyr can attack and defend themselves with their sharp claws as well as small bursts of dark magic.}

The description is really neat and I can't wait to use it on other creatures but curiosity gets the better of me as I use it on Tilly, her eyes darting towards me in confusion before she realizes what I did and smiles.

{Species- Plague Pixie(Extinct Species) Description- Plague pixies were hunted to extinction hundreds of years ago due to superstition and hate from their own kin. These pixies had a very demonic look to them and were always found in area's suffering from mass disease which is where they received their name. But these small men and women were the kindest and most talented of pixie healers and devoted themselves to stopping plagues and diseases from spreading as well as helping those affected recover. Upon seeing the first one captured churches across the world declared them demons that only cured what they brought forth and the pixie race as a whole hunted them due to viewing their less royal appearances and personalities as a blot upon their magnificent race.}

As I watch the Castyr's slowly begin to grow limp I reflect on Tilly's description and decide that I'll do my best to make her know she's none of those horrible things. As I'm thinking this she hugs my core and smiles as if she can read me....oh....yea....I begin laughing as I shine myself brighter before a prompt soon follows the death of the first Castyr.
