73 In-A-Net Troll

"A religious gobo and some snail flesh...heh....one more floor and I'll be set to get rewarded!" giggles Beggar before he pauses and turns his ear to the ceiling.

"Useless Zod, dead already. Least now I can stop babysitting the masters broken toys. Will have to remember to eat his soul once I kill the guide and the core" Mumbles the Troll viscously as he finally reaches the entrance of the third floor and lets out a groan at seeing the maze.

"Dungeon gods damn me.....I hate mazes....." mutters Beggar as he wanders into the entrance and begins taking random turns. Watching the troll intently, the entire core room try to hold in laughter as the brute rewalks the same paths repeatedly before realizing the walls have been moving. As the troll screams in anger the wall beside him moves away and a scritcher warrior lunges toward the troll, its rusted blade sliding into the beasts side before the troll lashes out with an open hand and crushes the scritchers head with a pop.

"So first beasts, then gnomes and midgets, now we have scritchers. It's almost like you chose the worst creatures you could find to build this shithole. It's a blessing that I'm going to end you cus here's a secret baby core. Us roaming bosses are our dungeons extra's! We're the ones he doesn't need for his floors so told us to gather more materials, more forces, more souls. So swallow whatever hope you have in you cus even if you win, you'll lose." Shouts the troll while laughing maniacally before entering the new hall and following the rattle of metal and the hiss of voices whispered.

After several minutes ,and five more gruesome displays of murder, Beggar finally walks into a new room, its walls built from aged brick, it's floors cracked and dry hardwood, several holes showing inky darkness within them. In one corner a small spit rests above a dim fire, its blue embers glowing hotly as if someone is continually stoking it. Several broken chests and crates, a small table with a shattered chair, and a rotted pile of straw fill the rest of the room giving a sense of some form of storage. Looking around the troll smiles happily as it see's a grimy, blood smeared chest that still remains in one piece.

"Heh baby core thinks I'm an adventurer. Still pumping out loot, might as well help myself since I'm here." giggles the troll as he walks towards the chest and opens it before letting out a yelp of surprise.

Within the chest several intelligent eyes stare back into the trolls soul as the red iris's flash with malice, several rows of sharpened teeth begin to push through the borders on both the top and bottom of the now open chest as several dozen thin legs, chitinous and dark lift the chest up.

"Fool. You die now. Become nourishment for my progeny." The chest creature whispers as several of the broken crates and chests begin to squirms and drag themselves towards the troll, his eyes glancing worriedly around the room before attempting to flee. His intake of breathe desperate as the wall finishes moving, leaving no entry or exit to the trap room filled with mimics.

"You can't be here! He only has 3 damn floors, there's no way he has a greater mimic! Or a colony!!" Shouts Beggar as he draws his daggers and begins desperately stabbing at the surrounding furniture, several of the pieces letting out chittering wails before falling in a pool of brackish purple blood.

"My lord is blessed. His kindness rivals his ability to create. Now be silenced wretch and feed my kin." Laughs the mimic as her maw opens and a radiant gemstone is seen within, its light turning white as crystalized webbing is shot over Beggar and his struggle slowly begins to die off.

"No! I Will not die in this dump! My master give me more strength, give me power to rend this creature and her core! I beg, I plead of you! Master Chronit give me the strength I beg of you!!" Shouts the troll pitifully, his voice rising in pitch as the first of the mimic brood reach him and dig into his leathery skin. As each bite is taken the flesh quickly regenerates as the troll howls in misery, begging, pleading, and promising anything and everything to spare its pathetic life.

"Lord, as this beast is a troll it will take a rather long time to expire. If you have anyone magically inclined or any crafters for weapons and such I would highly recommend sending them to harvest what they can. Spirit Trolls are rare and hardy so their bodies can be used extensively for things like potions, armors, and rune work." Says Guzzle mentally as we watch the form of Begger slowly have his flesh stripped to the bone, his cries unending before the bloodied bone bubbles and new flesh begins to surge and replace the lost.

"Aye that lass be a cold one. She has a point though. Spirit troll leather be a fantastic material, and the bones be makin' some sturdy weapons! Plus this beast be deserving a right knife to the eye if you ask me. Mind of I be takin' her up on that lord?" Grabba says excitedly as a hellish glint appears in his eyes watching the torture of the boss.

"It's blood and organs would help my rune work exponentially as well. I could possibly figure out a regeneration rune to slap on our constructs and it could even be applied to your core and Guzzles possibly." Nargal says sheepishly as I let out a sigh and teleport the two bosses into the mimic room, each quickly getting to work as they efficiently begin to harvest the trolls still living body to the bones before waiting for its regen to kick in so they can do it again.

"Seems kind of cruel of you Kyle. Is everything ok?" Tilly asks as she rubs my core gently while I let out a sigh.

'He deserves it, pure evil and cruelty is all he is but I'm still dwelling on what he said. If these guys are the extra's that means even that minotaur outside is just spare muscle. We need to kill this dungeon but I don't think we're equipped.' I mutter as everyone else nods in agreement before a prompt appears in front of my core.
