A Valuable Asset

'Ok guys! So now with these new abilities we need to be more active outside of the dungeon and we have a perfect guide now! Tyr, where are some interesting creatures that we can lure in or someplace with resources that are considered rare? I ask as she starts to think for a few minutes before her face lights up.

"Yea there is one place that I remember! Its this little wooded area maybe a day or two from here. There's some rare plants and tree's if we can use them. Also it has a few species of ghost and dark creatures but we'll have to be really careful because last time we were there we were pursued by some type of intelligent undead. Massive creature with decaying white skin and an awful temper. It stopped once we left the woods though so maybe its stuck there or something. But definitely worth a look if we can manage it." Tyr says confidently as the rest of the group smiles or nods along before looking towards Tilly and me for confirmation.

'Ok then it's simple, Tyr will go out solo and begin training herself and finding stuff that adventurers will want since she was one. She will be solo because she is the only one who doesn't have a spot in the dungeon yet meaning she's free until we get her a floor of her own. Slax, Banshee, and Spooky can explore in their free time when we don't have adventurers. Give me some time Tyr and I'll create some gear for you so you have actual armor. Now lets get this done we have a ton to prepare before the adventurers start pouring in!' I say excitedly as everyone nods or cheers before Slax brings Tyr to the living quarters to rest and process the last few hours.

After several hours pass Tyr and Slax walk into the core room fully equipped and prepared to head outside. Tyr now wears an entire set of Abyss Snake armor and has a small chainmail helmet covering her head and leaving her face bare. Slax wears his robes that he found while exploring with a shining dagger at his waist while his satchel rests over his shoulder. Tyr has our dungeons single bag of holding n her waist, sadly after attempting to make one I nearly spent my entire amount of mana and could only make a sack a quarter of the size of the original.

'Ok guys your ready to head out. Once you leave you'll see how long you can remain out of the dungeon and we'll be able to watch whats happening to you from here. We can't hear anything though so be careful, we also can communicate once you leave so your literally on your own Tyr. Slax has done this before so follow his lead and teach him if you can. Good luck!' I say as both pacted creatures nod before they begin moving towards the exit with Slax up front. As they exit the dungeon a screen appears on the wall and we can see Slax pointing towards the surrounding buildings and speaking while Tyr nods her head and walks towards the opposite direction. As the two walk I begin to see slightly larger buildings in dilapidated shapes, broken down or shattered carriages with rotting boxes in their backs, and the occasional set of eyes hiding in the darkness. We continue to watch the pair in interest as they begin exploring the area in depth.

"Miss Tyr, this be worth taking with us or no?" Asks Slax as he holds a small wooden figure of a monster that looks hand carved for me to inspect.

"Its not really worth anything but it could be useful as a decoration or to enchant in the future. Bring it with us and lets move to the next building, it looks like a tailors so we may find some enchanting supplies or even material if we're lucky." I say as we begin moving cautiously across the street to a building with a sunken roof.

Gently pushing the front door leads to the door creaking loudly before falling of what remains of its hinges. Inside of the building are various mannequins and racks of rotting clothing. Slax instantly starts poking through the random piles of rotted cloth and leather that used to be actual equipment while I approach a mannequin that's still in good condition and put it in the bag of holding.

"Why you be taking the fake body? Doesn't seem useful for the dungeon and it doesn't have any effects so why you be taking it?" Slax asks as he watches me grab the mannequin. Glancing at him I smile in amusement while looking around and spotting what looks like the stores lockbox laying embedded in the wall behind the broken down counter.

"It's not for Kyle but for me. I don't want to wear this armor all the time if I'm in a house inside the dungeon. Plus wearing armor and gear like they're everyday clothing is a bad habit for a warrior because it leads to wear and tear. Yes Kyle can magically fix this stuff but I prefer to have someplace to put it until I need it. Plus if he likes it he could eventually put new armor sets up somewhere on these so he can show off their skills and looks. Now that box over there is usually where merchants would put their pay or valuables. It doesn't look broken open so we may get lucky if we bring it back. Also grab that greenish piece of material, looks like very old drake leather. We might be able to use it as a drop or material if it survives transport." I explain as Slax gently rolls up the mossy colored piece of leather and put its into his satchel while I grab the lockbox. As we make our way to the back of the building we can hear the sound of crying followed by several low growls. Turning the corner we freeze as we see the first monsters we've seen thus far.

"Summoning Magic, Uster! Defense up! Umm poisonous blade arts venom bridge! Help!!!" screams a voice as we watch a small two headed hound slowly stalk towards a frightened child. The kid is covered in old blood and filth as its ragged clothing shows multiple holes that have been repaired numerous times. As they chant out these spells a small humanoid creature is summoned in front of the kid, the creature stands of hooved feet like a satyr but its body leads up to a scaled fish fin instead of a tail. Its chest is also lightly scaled with its face ending in the face of a red catfish, its eyes showing ferocity the belies its size of 1 meter tall. The defense buff makes the childs body shine golden as a solid wall of purple haze appears in front of them, what I imagine is the venom bridge. Before the hound can attack I quickly dash forward and my lance materializes halfway through my lunge, skewering the hound through one of its heads and in to the other as it goes through its death shakes. As the kid looks at the dead hound she turns towards me and I smile gently.

"Grab the hounds corpse maybe if its fresh he can get a new mob. Kid its not safe here and you seem to be alone, why don't you come with us to someplace safer. You can tell us what happened there alright?" I say as gently as I can while listening for more creatures, the kids wide eyes showing relief and hope as they nod and scurry towards me as we start to make our way back to the dungeon.
