Into the city

The voice was that of Levi. The sound of her voice was resonating through out the whole ship. "All hands we will be making port in 15 minutes."

Wow, that was one hell of a dream. Things like that don't really happen. I doesn't hurt anything to try. I cleared my mind, focused on welling up my power, and guided the energy to my hand. A sharp but quick jolt of pain shot through my hand. As I opened my eyes, there forming in my hand was the blood scribe. In the waking world it, there was a small cost for summoning it, but whats a little pain.

Holy crap it wasn't a dream. That means I need to run to the shops quick and get a few supplies. First I should do what I can with what is here. This is the type of power that takes planning. After getting a clear mental picture of the rune, I slowly pressed the scribe to each boot. Making each line as perfect as possible. The strength rune was next, that one went on my belt, under the buckle. Never hurts to play it close to the chest.

I ran down to the the market district and grabbed a few basic supplies, and some special odds and ends. I then headed back to the room quick as possible. There was something that needed finished, and I wanted to get a view of the city as we approached. After finishing my project, I made my way up on to the deck.

Walking out the door the horrified face of Ronald greeted me. He was mumbling to himself " My powers come from the land, there is a reason I stay off boats...I wanted land but not like this."

Following Ronalds gaze, a wave of anxiety washed over me, we were headed for a two giant rock formations. Straight into them and moving at a brisk pace, no signs of slowing. After a brief moment of panic, a thought hit me. None of the ships crew was worried in the least. So I started looking around.

Ghost had a mask over his mouth and nose, hood up, making it hard to read his expression.

Lita was looking apprehensive of the quickly approaching doom, ahead of us. Judging from her look she was trying to figure out if there was reason to panic.

Just when my gaze was lifting to the bow of the ship, it happened. The ship made contact with the rock, well I thought it did, but the world folded in on itself. Much like the folding of dough. Followed by an intense heat, bright light, and a loud pop.

The ocean was gone, we were now on a lake. The water was some of the clearest, ever I could see straight to the bottom. The sun shining over head was bright and warm. Off in the distance the only thing bigger then the city was a mountain in the shape of a squirrel. Two colossal stone statues stood to either side of the entrance for the port. I get the feeling they are more then just a decorative choice. The docks shimmered brilliantly, shifting through all the colors of the rainbow. It looked like they are made of one giant gem.

After dropping anchor and made our way to the shore. Small man, skating through the air on red blades, skids to a stop infront of us. He was well dressed in mostly black, but with a red accent here and there. Circular blades, putting off a red energy hung at his hips.

"I am Milo Cade. While greeting and ushering people is not usually on my to do list today it is. Welcome to The Elemental City. We are happy to have you. Now then the rest of the council should be waiting on us, and I am sure you have plenty of questions." Milo said with a grin that clearly showed fangs. He was a proud member of the vampire race.

He moved us through town a break neck pace. Him just skating through the air making us look like we were standing still. Most of us anyway Ghost was hot on his heels. What was I doing? Keeping up isn't a problem any more. With a thought the runes on my boots fired up and I was off.
