CHAPTER 2 : Friends For Life?
Incoming call : Daniel
Viveria never could know how Daniel would always know that she just needs someone to talk to her, though often she has thought that Daniel and her would have never met if it wasn't for saving her life.
Viveria picks up the call to hear a calm and mature voice of Daniel with a tinge of concern hidden. That's what Daniel always made her feel, a home.
Daniel: Hey Vive, what are you doing? Did you have breakfast? Have you finally slept at all last night? Are you ok?
Viveria : Yeah, Dan I swear to God! I'm someday gonna murder Dew!! He never lets me finish and always makes me feel so stupid for believing in the true kinda love you know, plus I really have to finish my assignment and I have my horrible migraine as always and now I'm so mad at Dew without a reason and....
Daniel : Hey, hey, calm down Vive! Now listen take a deep breathe. Let's do it together ok? Like our usual. 1 2 3. Breathe in and breathe out.
Viveria did as she was told and was just about to continue when Daniel said,
Daniel: Listen Vive, I know you are hyped up and Dew just was being the jerk that he always is, but I just want to tell you that you are not wrong and neither is your view on love wrong at all, its just perspectives differ. So let's do one thing at a time ok? You finish your assignment first and then we shall bitch about Dew, I promise.
Viveria actually calming down : You are right Dan, I should finish my work first, it is the only other love I currently have in my life. Thank you so much dude. You always know what to say and make me calm. You are such a blessing in my life.
Daniel : Yeah yeah, tell that to your hero of your series which you are so addicted to and don't sleep. Next time you get a migraine I'm throwing a huge party. Happy now?
Viveria smiling : Yeah, a party of best friends.
Daniel: By the way Vive, did you check out the new party poster on the college website. It's the famous Xavier's party , tonight at 8. You going?
Viveria: Really?? Its his party? But you know he never invites nerds like us, plus I feel I have too much work and I just don't have the right dress for the party and.... followed by an awkward silence.
Daniel: Yeah got it, so pick you up at 7?
Viveria : Totally, I can't wait to see him!!
Daniel : There you go again.....
Call ends.
Incoming text from Dew: Hey Viv, you must wear the bottle green strapless dress I gave you last week for Xavier's party, I promise you girl he wont be able to take his eyes of you. P.S. : I'm bringing Mellisa too, I hope she will come home with me tonight. See you at the party sweetie.
Viveria opening her cupboard, taking out the bottle green dress, looking in front of the mirror ( is this really what I want to wear so that Xavier sees me? Or shouldn't I just be me? ). Deciding otherwise she just put the bottle green dress back into the cupboard and took out her lucky pair of black Jean's with a white colored top on which it was written ' I'm happy being me'. She checked again in the mirror and that smile which she gave herself is the smile of value which she was unaware of.
What's more important is that she was just about to find out what that smile would cost her!
