Chapter Three

when beth open the door to sofie room she forgot to close it, she was scared and was crying , she got carried away by pain and sorrow that she didn't notice the black smoke around her "I know I need to leave you she was right you are not a mermaid" she wisper with pain, pain that sofie will suffer alone in this world, and she is the cause of it. "you do look like a mermaid by nature , you are beauitiful i hope you see a man who will love and take care you, i really don't want to go but…" she said as she cried bitterly "you will die if i stay, and i won't forgive myself if you die" she cried and cried and cried and cried till she have no strength left "I made a big mistake leaving the sea" she tiredly laugh to her self " because james won't have died and you won't be suffering, you don't how i hate my self , he didn't even know i'm a mermaid , i don't deserve him, i'm so useless" she cried and cried till she slept off. she was walking alone in the quite forest when she heard footstep approaching her, she was so scared that she called her mum silently the step halt for a moment and started again she hurriedly stood up to run when she bomb her her head in something hard she looked up slowly only to see a pair of red eyes staring at her, she step backward when her blue eyes stare at the man in front of her in horror he was holding a bloody axe she wanted to run but he hold her firmly, she turn around again and scream, he look dead she wanted to scream again when she heard a deep voice rang in her head "don't" she look confused although sofie is ten years old she is smart the man lip didn't move, she is hearing the voice in her head! "what's your name? "he ask gently this time around his lip moved " my name is sofie" she look surprise 'she could still speak' she thought and sign "sofie" he said softly " no! only my mom is allowed to call my name" she said sharply "uncle what are you doing alone in the forest aren't you scared? let's leave" she grab his hand "uncle?" he frown for a moment and started laughing while sofie stood there worriedly "what are you scared sofie" he ask "no!! wh....why would i ? i...i just want to go back home" she restore bravely 'this man, is insane why will he still ask if she is scared when he already notice that she pee on her pant the moment she saw him' she thought he stare at her for a moment "okey then, sleep and don't remember this little conversation we had, don't remember seeing me, and most importantly don't remember being in this forest" his deep voice rang in the cold and calm forest as one side of his lip pulled up, sofie wanted to say something but her vision got burred. * * * * * * * * "sofie wake up" the voice keep calling her "mom i want to sleep" she said tiredly "no! it's me emma "the voice said softly "emma what are you doing here? you said you don't want to be my friend" she ask angrily "look sofie i'm sorry, i shouldn't have said that,5 i shouldn't have called your mom a witch, i'm sorry will you ever forgive me? " she ask while crying " it's okey, you don't have to cry, look i forgive you but don't say that again, don't call my mom a witch" she said wiping her tears "i won't sofie, i won't listen to my mom either" she said confidently "why" sofie almost yell with wide eye "she told me your mom is a witch, she also said that your mom murdered your dad" she explain shamefully "what nonsense!! i told you my dad left for another village, he is coming back and when he comes back my mom will be happy again, tell your mom that" sofie said proudly "okey. sofie today is my 12th years birth, i want you to be there please" emma said happily "no problem, i will tell my mom first before coming" sofie smile solftly " happy birthday emma" " thank you sofie i need to get going now " emma said and ran out of the room 'where is mom? why she not in my room, she is always here every morning to wake me up with her sweet voice or is she busy? no' she thought.
