23 Undead Swordsman(2)

Luke kept his focused eyes on the Undead Swordsman trying to anticipate what will the first move of the Undead. Whether it will a Vertical Slash or a Horizontal Slash or a Stab but suddenly the Undead Swordsman vanished in front of Luke's eyes, Luke looked around only to find no sign of the missing undead but after a second later he felt something passing by the side of his left eye for only a second.

Luke reacted instinctively even though his current body stats were not even a bit close of what he previously had but his memory and soul honed by years of experience did the best to protect him from the impending death by moving the mace closer to the side of his neck, while holding the mace with both the hands, one at the mace's handle and one at the shaft of the mace.

CLANK

A sharp sound of two weapons hitting against each another echoed in the atmosphere. The Undead Swordsman was standing very close to Luke with his sword striking the area between the shaft and the grip of the mace. The collision between the metal of sword and the mace continuously produced sparks. Luke hands that were holding the mace started to shake and his hands even began to lose strength to hold the mace due to the force behind the attack made by the Undead Swordsman.

Luke used his legs to rotate his body to the side while bringing the mace downwards causing the force of the attack to shift from him towards the ground. The proper body movement by Luke caused the attack force to redirect towards the ground and the sword hit the ground. The hitting of sword on the floor caused the Undead Swordsman to lose its balance for a second.

Luke not giving the Undead Swordsman a chance to bring the sword up for the second attack. He stepped on the sword while saying "Allocate everything into Strength".

Due to the sudden increase of strength in Luke's body, his stepping force also increased making it harder for the Undead Swordsman to raise the sword.

Luke knowing that he cannot hold the sword under his feet for too long because even with his increased stats he cannot compare to a Level 15 being. Luke raised his mace and struck the elbow joints of the Undead. Yep, he did not go for the head because even with allocating points in strength received from his recent level up, he can not kill the undead swordsman just by a striking it in the head because the first reason, the HP of Undead Swordsman being greater than the normal Undead Soldiers and second reason is that the bone density of the Undead Swordsman is higher than the normal Undead because it has evolved making his bone denser and thicker. So, it will take around 5 hits in the head and with all of them being acknowledged as critical hits by the AI to kill the Undead Swordsman. If even a single hit is not a critical one than the number of hits required will increase to 6 or even 7.

Luke went for the elbow joint of the dominant hand of the Undead Swordsman which was holding the sword. After continuously hitting the elbow joint for 2 to 3 times the entire arm holding the sword fell off.

Luke knew that the Undeads can attach their fallen body parts back to their body and the attach will be similar to the 'Regeneration' skill of the Monsters not even a slight issue will be there in reattaching and the process will be done in mere 2 to 3 seconds.

Luke saw that the other hand of the Undead was about to reach the fallen arm so, he kicked the sword which had the arm of the Undead holding onto it even after it has fallen of the body.

The sword and the arm from the kick landed 10 meters away from Luke and the Undead. Luke and the Undead both looked at each other they both knew in their mind respectively that if the Undead got the sword back Luke will die and if Luke got the arm the Undead will be smashed into pulp.

Both Luke and Undead Swordsman rushed towards the fallen arm, the Undead Swordsman being even faster than Luke because of him having superior stats and his primary element being 'Wind', but what happens to a human when one of his limbs separate from his body, the whole body suffers due to the separation of the part and it takes time for the body to adapt for the missing part, a man cannot even run even if a single toe is cut off from the body and the Undead even though was a Monster but at the very core of its being it was still a Human Skeleton so, losing the arm and a dominant one at that caused the Undead Swordsman to lose its balance and he fell down mid way.

Luke winning the race, reached the sword and picked it up together with the fallen arm and took a few steps backward while waving the sword holding by the arm like a flag and with a very playful voice he said to the Undead "Here! Here! Skelly come here we will play fetch with the toy you have given to me".

Luke knew he cannot store the Arm and the Sword in the Inventory because that will be total cheat for gaining the loot, players will just separate the body parts of the monsters and store them in the Inventory, after the monster was dead, since the specific part being in the Inventory it will not disappear like the rest of the dead body of the monster and they can just take the rings, weapon, any other accessory from the body part, this will led them gaining extra loot excluding the loot dropped after the death of the monster. Will the AI let players to cheat in the game like that? A BIG NO!

The Undead raised himself from the ground and seeing Luke playing with his arm and sword angered him, he rushed towards Luke with as much speed as he can maneuver with that body but will a body of bones gain its lost balance that easily, yep he rise only to fell on his face again for a second time.

Luke seeing the Undead fall for second time started laughing loudly at first and then a made face that could make others see him equal a demon he said "Here! Tommy let me make this game a little harder for you".
