EQUALIST TERRORIST LEADER AMON FINALLY ARRESTED, NOT BY THE POLICE BUT BY AN AIRBENDER

It has not been a secret to the people that benders of four nations possess the ability to empower themselves, however such capability is sometimes misused and is utilized to terrorize the non-benders. This happened all around the world and it has been occurring since the division of benders and non-benders, Republic City is no exception.

Recently a group of activists who advocate equality emerged in Republic city, they are known as the Equalist, led by a great orator and fighter Amon. Their motivation, though noble, was executed poorly, as sometimes their actions were seen as terrorism especially when they attacked bender indiscriminately, innocent or not innocent alike.

"I'm not against the Equalist's philosophy but I am not in agreement with their method. I mean they involve innocent benders on this, I have a good neighbor that got his bending taken away by them. He was a great guy, never used his bending against innocent people, so when I heard that he got his bending taken away I was shocked, and quite frankly angry at them. I feel sorry for my neighbor" A direct statement from one of the citizens, whom we cannot disclose his name due to his request for anonymity.

"What do I think of the equalists actions? I agree with them! They are doing what people have been blind to for years! The root of all the problems in this world are benders who have too much power on their hands!" Also a direct statement from one of the citizens, though we got permission to say his name we decided not to.

There was a duality among the people of Republic City. There are those who are in agreement with them and those who are opposed, however what can't be denied is their notoriosity.

Recently, their biggest offense yet, was that they organized an assault against Avatar Korra. An attack that happened on 170 AG at the Pro-bending Arena exactly at 9:56 pm.

Many Metalbending Police were injured by the attack that could not be described other than terrorism. Amongst the injured, the Avatar was also not spared as she was caught off guard and was attacked by surprise.

Thankfully an airbender from the Air Temple Island was there to save the day. It was a new member of the Airbending community, the first ever airbender outside of Avatar Aang's lineage.

He was with Councilman Tenzin, who was confirmed to be his mentor to spectate the fight of the Avatar in her Pro-bending fight.

Alongside Councilman Tenzin, they defeated the Equalist who organized the attack and defeated Amon.

But Councilman Tenzin states that he was not the one who defeated Amon and his elites but Jiran.

"No, I was not the one who defeated him but Jiran. He did all the work while I just fought off the underlings." -Councilman Tenzin.

Amon was arrested by the Metalbending Police Force alongside with other fifty two accomplices.

"Amon and his men will be put on court for trial against the people and the Avatar, rest assured he will be put in justice!" - Lin Beifong, Chief Police of Metalbending Police Force.

When asked about the airbender Lin Beifong stated,

"The people of Republic City can now sleep in peace all because of Jiran. We are eternally grateful to him and hope that he will continue his selfless act, just like how Air Nomads do."

So in conclusion, the people of Republic City can now rest. Republic City is now safe all thanks to Jiran.
