18 Chapter 18

N/A: Hey guys! Sorry for the late release, I just came back from my class retreat and I have gadget in the retreat house since it wasn't allowed so I wasn't able to release any chapter, sorry. But anyways here's chapter 18 so enjoy!

Chapter 18: A Jealous Mako

Korra, alongside Jiran, entered the gym.

"Hey guys!" She greeted with a wave. Mako and Bolin turned around.

"Heyya Korra nice to have you agai—" Bolin's word was cut off as he saw a visage of a man alongside Korra.

"What is he doing here?" Asked Mako, his voice stern and a bit jealous, seeing Korra be with another guy besides him. Which is really hypocritical of him since he has a girlfriend and yet he still wants Korra to not be with another guy.

"This is a member exclusive gym for the Fire Ferrets, outsiders aren't allowed to be in here." Bolin grumbled which made Jiran look at him. The moment Jiran's eye fell on him, Bolin shut up and felt chills from his gray eyes.

"Bolin, right? That's rather quite rude of you, haven't you forgotten the only reason you're here was because I rescued you?" Jiran walked closer to Bolin and towered over the dude. Seeing Jiran tower over him, Bolin felt small and most of all he couldn't even refute Jiran's words since he knew he was right.

"I'm sorry Jiran but it was not only you who rescued my brother, me and Korra also did some work." Mako said, walking towards him and going in between him and Bolin, as if trying to protect his little brother.

"But I was the one who defeated Amon no?" The airbender chuckled.

Feeling the tense atmosphere Korra intervened.

"Guys, stop! Jiran is here to train us, we could really use some help in training, especially from someone as skillful as him" Korra said. At those words Mako and Bolin looked at her incredulously, never have they ever heard Korra compliment someone this way.

And the look of her face was complete infatuation, looking at Mako as well as Bolin felt their heart swell from anger and jealousy. This just made them further unhappy with Jiran's presence.

"Korra, I know you meant goodwill but we're perfectly fine as we are, we can train on our own" Mako being the egotistical fucker said.

"Oh really?" Jiran suddenly laughed. Then he turned around and walked to the middle of the gym, where the wide space was perfect for sparring.

"Then why don't we test that hypothesis of yours?" He gestured at them.

The two brothers looked at each other, their eyes conveying a mutual agreement. 'We should put this guy in his place'

However before they started a figure coming from the gym's mini kitchen came out. It was a beautiful girl with black hair and porcelain white skin, a very tall and charming woman. It was Asami, Mako's girlfriend.

"Sweetie, I brought snacks!" She announced with a tray of sweets in her hand. She walked towards the three of them, she handed one to Mako and then Bolin as well as Korra and eventually she walked towards Jiran and handed him a cookie.

"Miss Asami, I didn't know you were here" Greeted Jiran, then he held Asami's hands and kissed it as a formal greeting. At that gesture two furious and envious looks appeared, one from Mako and the other from Korra.

"My boyfriend is here to train for the championship, so I figured I should be here and cheer him up" Asama replied with a smile, gesturing at Mako.

That's right, the championship for Pro-bending is just three days away so they were training as best as they could that is also the reason why Korra brought in Jiran, so that the guy could give them some guidance.

"What a lucky guy to have such a beautiful woman," Jiran said flirtingly.

"Haha, Mr.Airbender you should really tone down your compliments, I already have a boyfriend. I don't want to be a cheater, haha" She joked around which made Mako even further angry towards Jiran. Jiran then grabbed the cookie Asama offered and ate it with a satisfied smile.

"Truly envious, not only a beautiful girlfriend but a skillful cook as well" Jiran complimented once again, seeing that finaly compliment Korra finally had it and grabbed Jiran's hands out of nowhere. Asami gasped at Korra's very bold move while Mako and Bolin had their jaws dropped from surprise and envy.

She intertwined her fingers with him catching the airbender by surprise.

"K-Korra? What's the matter?" He asked, confused by her sudden action.

Finally realizing what she just Korra's face started to get red, as red as a heating steel. She started rummaging her head for excuses and when she finally had one she lifted Jiran's hand in front of her and stutteredly said.

"I-I I was just checking his hands for any injury… b-because y-you know… he fought Amon yesterday to save me…" She replied, her head down with still Jiran's hands in her hands. Knowing that, that was certainly not the reason Jiran

laughed inside of his mind and just went with flow.

"Well thank you Korra for your concern, your worry is certainly…. Ahem… touching… and yes, I did have a hand sprain from fighting Amon so thank you very much for your concern" Jiran replied, giving Korra a look of 'I saved you once again'.

"Ahem! So should we get back to the fight!" Bolin came in and interrupted, not willing to endure more of this lovey dovey atmosphere especially when he had a crush on Korra.

"Ah yes, we got off track" Jiran exclaimed then he looked at Korra and lifted his hands.

"Are you going to let go now?"

"Ah! Ah!…" She immediately let go of his hands and walked away from embarrassment.

"So where were we? Ah yes, both of you get in position, we'll start your training right away!" Jiran pointed at the two of them.

"This is a sparring only, you're not training us since we are clearly above you in skills" Bolin refutes which really ticked off Jiran. Bolin was being an insufferable and ungrateful brat for the umpteenth time, he saved him from impending doom yet this is how he acted towards his savior. It's truly infuriating.

"Okay, you are really starting to annoy me," Jiran said with a hard tone, extremely annoyed by Bolin's attitude. He would make sure to make that brat rethink his life choices.

"Just get here and let's get this started," He waved. The two brothers once again looked at each and nodded. It Was time to fight.
