From the harsh deserts of Si Wong, to the cold wasteland of the south, my journey would take time, and with two spirit companions, things ought to be fun. Yes, two, see Cheshire decided it was time to check the human world, he was curious, as a cat should be.

Though I knew he wanted to help, in his own messy chaotic way. So I accepted. Though it really made me wonder, why and how they got so attached to me, it was vexing. But at the same time relaxing, their emotions were always positive, at least regarding me.

No hate, no anger. They were my break from the shit I usually have to filter. And for that I was grateful, I wasn't going to tell them though, Ursoc is already too attached as he is, and Cheshire, he is too crazy.

"I will burn the snow of the south, with my power!" Ursoc shouted.

"Sometimes, you are un-Bear-able," Cheshire chuckled.

Oh yeah, Cheshire was a pun fanatic, which at first was fun, not it was like walking with a washed up comedian, a catastrophe, no pun intended…. maybe he is affecting me more than I had anticipated. Oh well, there are certainly worse things to learn than the art of puns.

"We should arrive to the south in around two months," I commented, while reading the map, we still had a lot of land to cover, but it was mostly neutral land, with all the stops being unimportant for the Fire Nation, and therefore left alone.

Ursoc looked at me, his ears twitched with excitement as his red colored fur, bursted into flames, "In two months I shall defeat the south! Our battle will be legendary!"

"You said that about breakfast," Cheshire deadpanned.

"And lunch," I added with a grin.

"And let's not forget about…" Cheshire shuddered, "When you went to the bathroom,"

"I know!" Ursoc laughed, "Life is a challenge, I intend to win!"

That… that was surprisingly wise for a bear whose entire brain is designed for battle, "I suppose that is true," I commented.

"Please don't be wise," Cheshire chuckled, "It disturbs me when you are wise,"

Though… in retrospective, Ursoc probably meant life was a challenge literally, like he wanted to beat life, physically not emotionally, but when he's right, he's right.

"Alright, I think it's best we camp, out of Ba Sing Se, before we embark any further," I stated.

"Our duties?" Cheshire asked, exploding into confetti that said, what can I do?.

"You are the fastest, so look around and find a good spot to sleep," I said.

Cheshire raised an eyebrow at that, and with a smirk commented, "I am a cat, are you sure this is the best task for me… you do know we sleep anywhere,"

"I do," I rolled my eyes at him, "But I also know you love sleeping close to water, and with a good supply close, and that's just what we need," I winked.

"Clever little human," Cheshire smiled, before vanishing out of sight.

"What is my challenge?!" Ursoc asked eagerly.

"Well, you find some wood, and bring it here… and please don't burn anything… including the wood," I chuckled.

Ursoc smiled, his eyes twinkled with excitement, "I will win this!" And with that, he ran to the closest tree, while shouting, "Face my might wood!"

As for me, I had another thing to do, eat at a restaurant… God knows I miss fine dining, what can I say, I got spoiled in the Northern Water Tribe, which makes me wonder, what is Yue doing right now? I wanna visit her, and Sakura…

But, I doubt they will recognize me, or welcome me. I am sure that by now, most people know about the mysterious man that almost killed the Avatar. And if they don't, they are never going to believe I am me, new face and shit.

And even if they did, believe me… and knew about me beating Aang… would they accept what I was right now? The natural enemy of their supposed savior. Or would they only two people I care about in the Tribe shun me. I wasn't going to admit it, but if that happened, it would break a little part of me. Yue was like my sister, and Sakura… like an aunt. The only two people I care about in this world, at least as of now.

-For the love of…. you worry too much,- Vaatu growled, startling me, -Human relationships are a waste of time,-

"For the most part… yeah," I chuckled, "But you can't help it, as much as you try to avoid it… you start to care…"

-Truly disgusting,- Vaatu sneered, -If they don't accept you… for what you became… they are weak, those who run from those with power… are nothing but stepping stones to our throne,- Was Vaatu trying to comfort me, huh, well fudge me sideways.

"I would've never guess you had a soft side," I remarked.

-I will pretend, I didn't hear such a stupid comment,- Vaatu hissed.

"Alright… be my guest Tsundere," I laughed.

-I am not! How dare you!.... compare me with that disgusting piece of media you consumed in your past life… I will go back to sleep! I will not stand here… and let a child insult me in such a way!- Vattu yelled.

"Alright, but in all seriousness," I chuckled, "Thanks,"

-.....You welcome… Human,- And with that, I felt Vaatu go back to his slumber. Maybe this merging with him wasn't so bad, without his obsession with Raava, he was a pretty interesting being.

"Halt in the name of—-" The poor guard that had caught me red handed climbing the wall, was knocked out with a quick rock attack to his nuts, rendering him catatonic with a single attack, "My… balls… why?!" The man squeaked in a high pitched tone.

I honestly felt bad for the guy, but it was the only way to avoid him seeing me, and enter the city without getting the entire army chasing me.

But I knew that statement was a lie, for I had forgotten to use Seismic sense and Water sense to scout the area, and was left with no other choice.
