1 Wake Up

At that moment when you're sleeping, feeling the soft mattress under your back, only to wake up suddenly from the sensation of falling asleep, that feeling is disconcerting, disorienting and even annoying, that's how I felt, only I wasn't in my bed, or in my room.

Hell, I wasn't even in my own damn body!

How did I find out? Easy, just by looking at my hands I knew they were different since, when I went to bed to sleep, I didn't have blue hands with four fingers instead of five.

But that wasn't the only strange thing, because after taking a better look at my surroundings I discovered that I was riding a kind of creature, similar to a horse, only it was much bigger than the elephant of my world. ....

Wait, these horses I know, they are Pa'li and this body, and this environment, no, it can't be, I'm in Pandora! Oh my god, at what point did I get here? "Aleyx wake up!" I hear a voice to my side.

To my right is a Na'vi riding a Pa'li, with a large spear in his right hand while with his left hand he holds the Pa'li, from his body he seems to be a teenager, or something like that.

"You've been a long time looking at everything like a fool, you know you can't get distracted, if you do, we won't be able to hunt anything for the tribe" the boy says to me, now that I think about it, I can't remember anything about him, nor about my life as a Na'vi.

What was his name? I try to remember, only to be hit by a pounding headache, causing me to lose the Tsaheylu with the Pa'li I was riding, falling to the ground in the process.

Aleyx!

Aleyx!

I hear the voice of my fellow Na'vi in the background, only now I remember his name, as well as my own, along with my memories that I have lived as a Na'vi, apparently my name is Aleyx, son of Sukai, the olo'eyktan of the Subaiya clan, a Na'vi clan located in the jungle of Pandora,

today the two of us are on a hunting trip to hunt some Hexapede, a Pandora animal equivalent to the deer of the earth, though blue with yellow stripes, which reproduced in large numbers, making them a staple food source for tribes and predators. They had six legs with small skulls that were protected by colorful fans that gave them an incredible hearing radius to detect threats.

After remembering my whole life as Aleyx, I see Luak getting off his Pa'li at full speed towards me, with a worried face, "are you ok? What the hell is happening to you today?" says Luak as he helps me stand up.

"I don't... I know, we should go back, and go hunting tomorrow, I don't feel well today" I replied.

"Well, it seems to me, but..." Luak was interrupted by a loud roar, which made us grab our weapons as fast as possible.

Looking at the place where the roar came from I saw a black creature, almost three meters tall, with six legs, similar to a wampus cat, only much more terrifying.

"Thanator!" says Luak beside me, I turn to see him, and he is frightened, but still pointing his spear at the Thanator, for my part I see a way to escape from the animal, our mounts had escaped, being frightened by the Thanator.

We both had our eyes fixed on the animal, which was walking slowly around us, I knew this was a fight to the death, and on the Thanator's side, it had no intention of backing down, so the fight was inevitable.

I turned to Luak, and he looked at me, with an acceptance on his face, as if he knew he was going to die.

No, he will not die, neither of us will, "we will not die, I refuse to die having just arrived in this world" I said aloud, then pulled my lips back from my mouth, exposing my long fangs and letting out a hiss of fury, gripping my spear tighter and ready to fight.

The Thanator accepted the challenge, and opening its mouth, let out a roar, and then ran towards us, without wasting time, Luak and I moved out of its reach, only for it to hit me with its tail, causing me to crash into a tree.

Quickly getting up, and ignoring the severe pain in my back and leg, I prepared to continue fighting, only to see how the Thanator had Luak in the air by the arm, while the latter roared and hissed in pain.

"No, Luak!" I shouted, as I threw my spear with all my might at the Thanator, only for it to bounce off the armor covering his back.

"Let him go!" I continued shouting at the animal, and seeing that it ignored my shouts I looked for something to hurt it with, only to hear something break, seeing how the Thanator had torn Luak's arm off, seeing that I despaired, especially because it was walking in Luak's direction.

"Leave it, hey!"

"OBEY!" I shouted at the top of my lungs, watching as the Thanator stopped, then turned to look at me, and bowing his body in submission, crouched down to me.

What the fuck was that?" I wondered, before a terrible tiredness fell over my mind, as if I hadn't slept for over a week, only to fall into darkness.

___________

Opening my eyes with some difficulty, I woke up, and looking at the ceiling above me, I knew that it was not a dream that I had lived, I was in a kind of chamber, which was illuminated by a kind of creeper, which was scattered all over the ceiling.

"Son! Aleyx, you awake at last, thank you great mother" I hear a voice from the entrance to the chamber, to see a Na'Vi woman, beautiful, dressed in loose robes, and intricate jewels adorning her body, being some shiny stones and fangs, She was the Tsahik of the tribe, the direct line to Eywa, a position in which strength and wisdom was needed to assume leadership in the tribe,

"mother" I reply, then cough, a product of not having used my throat to speak for a long time, my mother moves quickly towards me with concern, as she checks my body for abnormalities, "it's just a lack of water, but you will get better soon" she says after hearing that I was fine.

"What happened?" I ask, observing her expression, which goes through several emotions in a short period of time, "some hunters from the tribe found them after finding their Pa'li missing, when they arrived, they found Luak bleeding to death and with his left arm missing, and you passed out, but..." she tries to continue, but apparently she has trouble finding the words.

"And then what, mother?" I ask, seeing how she looks at me and sighing she continues; "next to your unconscious body, there was a Thanator, only it didn't hurt you two, in fact when the hunters arrived the animal tried to attack them when it saw they were approaching you."

"Then how did they bring me in?"

"They had to attack it, that's how the animal ran away, only that apparently it followed them to the village since the hunters of the tribe see it roaming around, that has put the clan on alert all these days" she finished saying, and wow things have happened, even so I still don't understand why the Thanator acted that way that time, since he acted like the Thanator of the movie when he meets Neytiri, wait days?

"What do you mean days?" I ask a little upset, since it didn't feel like he had been unconscious for several days.

"You've been sleeping for 5 days."

Uhh, shit
