Lost As A Baby

While Jake was getting acquainted with his Avatar in Hell's Gate, Aleyx was on the outskirts of the tribe along with Fang, who was scanning the surroundings for possible dangers.

It had been a few days since Aleyx had reclaimed his Ikran, flying with it on several occasions, however, this time he was not here for fun, but was investigating his strange gift, one he had interacted with several days ago.

The last time he used it on a Hexapede, and it was a natural process, of course, he still didn't understand how it worked but, at least, he knew that his gift came from his voice, in what sense? Apparently, whatever he let out in the form of orders to the animals, made them obey whatever Aleyx said.

And even once he had the animal 'under his control' Aleyx was able to sense the animal's emotions, even know where it was, and to some extent, communicate with the creature from near or far distances, it was a kind of telepathy, although so far it only worked on animals.

Just as Aleyx was about to continue using his gift on a small rodent, Fang got up from the ground and began to growl in the direction of the village, an act that made Aleyx also look in that direction, soon after, a group of seven Navi riders approached at full speed, and giving them a glance, they were all hunters, belonging to the Subaiya clan.

"Oel ngati kameie (I see you) brother" they greeted Aleyx with utmost respect, as they approached careful not to frighten their Pa'li with the presence of the Thanator, while the tribe had accepted that their next Olo'eyktan had been chosen by Eywa as a Palulukan rider, it did not mean they were used to the presence of the ferocious creature, especially their mounts, as they brought with them their altered instincts thanks to Fang.

"Oel ngati kameie, what brings you here?" asked Aleyx a little confused, he was rarely interrupted during their sessions outside the tribe, so whatever they needed him for, it must have been important.

"Olo'eyktan needs you, there have been events in the village, and your presence there is required" a Navi replied, motioning for Aleyx to follow them.

Without waiting for another signal, Aleyx released the small rodent in his hands and mounted Fang, who was more than willing to serve.

In the village, Sukai, the Olo'eyktan of the Subaiya clan, along with M'aora, his partner and Tsahik of the tribe, stood in front of a group of four Na'Vis, who were kneeling and gagged, these four Na'Vis belong to the Omaticaya clan, a clan located five kilometers from the Subaiya clan, the reason they were imprisoned was because they had entered Subaiya territory, in order to hunt animals to take back to their tribe.

On these charges, the four had been spotted by hunters, and brought to the village to be tried under the Olo'eyktan and Tsahik.

Just then, Aleyx arrived with his companions, receiving a pleasant welcome from his parents, "What's going on?" asked Aleyx, being informed of the whole situation by his father.

"You will be the next Olo'eyktan, I leave it to you to judge them" said M'aora, waiting for her son to be guided by the great mother.

Aleyx fixed his gaze on the four Na'Vis, who were too frightened by the presence of Fang, who kept growling at them, to pay attention to Aleyx approaching them.

Aleyx pulled out a knife, which was strapped to his right leg, and holding it firmly, he proceeded to cut the ropes that imprisoned the four Na'Vis.

"They will not die today under my knife, however, if they are found to be stepping on Subaiya territory again, they will be executed immediately!" commented Aleyx loudly, as he climbed back on top of Fang.

"I will take them back to their clan myself, and find out why their Olo'eyktan is not complying with the treaty imposed in the first songs!" finished Aleyx, and then watched as hunters grabbed the four Omaticaya and escorted them out of the tribe.

Aleyx knew that the relationship between the two tribes was not the best, especially since the Subaiya tribe did not welcome visitors very warmly, whether you were Na'vis or in the hypothetical case that you were human, your fate would be death.

In fact, the Subaiya tribe had already had contact with humans in the DDR, and it did not end very well, both for the mercenaries and for the Avatars of the Avatar project who tried to make contact with the tribe.

It is for that reason, that Grace Augustine had to focus all her research effort on the Omaticaya tribe, since with the Subaiya tribe she was not going to have any breakthrough, or well, it was that, or that on that expedition to the Subaiya tribe three Avatars worth more than 100 million dollars each were lost.

Jake Sully was lost.

Deep in the jungle of Pandora, with no weapons, no equipment and no way to send a distress signal, he became easy prey in the most hostile environment known to man - if he had any training like his brother, the chances of survival were 50/50. But it was dwindling to almost zero.

As he looked around nervously, he quickly sharpened the end of a stick to make a spear, he had never been so paranoid or nervous, death surrounded him for endless miles, and the alien environment didn't exactly calm his nerves.

The vegetation was thick and prehistoric, so he had no way of seeing anything beyond a five-foot radius, and the distant shrieks of banshees made his ears twitch.

"Shit." Jake stood up to keep moving stealthily, he couldn't believe he had to find out for himself that those things were flying, alien Pterodactyls, but he also discovered other creatures, like Pandora's rhinos, except they were twenty feet tall, bulletproof, had hammer heads to smash into trees like cardboard, and weren't actually rhinos.

But his favorite had to be the Thanator, it was just the most dangerous apex predator on the planet, which was what chased him into the undergrowth and separated him from the group, that thing was a huge, black, panther-like creature the size of a car.

Now he could tell that all the biblical depictions of hellhounds were dead wrong, Pandora was where the devil kept his pets.

Jake stepped under a huge tree root, not noticing what was above it, in this case, it was a who, a devastatingly beautiful Na'vi woman stood up from her position, she had been watching the ground and her surroundings closely when someone walked by.

And while she resembled her, having a tall, blue, slender build, large yellow eyes and a broad tail, what gave them away were the primitive shreds of cloth they wore, an infallible sign that they were the sky people you had come to hate so fiercely.

Without hesitation, the Na'Vi woman aimed straight for Jake's head silently, but together before she let go of the arrow, something small and white slid into the arrowhead.

A seed from the tree of souls hovered over the poisonous tip, causing her brows to furrow with hesitation, and eventually she lowered her bow and only then did it float away.

Night fell on Pandora, Jake was still wandering the forest fuelled by pure adrenaline, the echo of canine howls sounded a few yards away, a packet of stuff had followed him like dinner, but he wasn't going to let it get eaten today.

He tore off part of his shirt to wrap it around his spear, dipping it in some tree sap, desperately lighting a match against his box, when he finally lit the end of a makeshift torch, he waved the fire in the direction of the howls so he could see numerous pairs of glowing eyes which reflected the light, staring at him with a hiss.

When the creatures came into view, they were revealed to be small wolf dogs, but with so many of them, they became more of a threat than they should have been, and they were circling him.

Jake continued to wave his torch at them, shielding himself with the heat of the flames, this tense stalemate continued for a few seconds before he exhaled; "I haven't got all bloody night" he said then pointed the torch aggressively at them.

"Go! Go!" he roared, Jake got exactly what he asked for as they began to pounce on him, slamming the end of his spear into the wolf pups, he knocked some aside, they groaned in pain, but the others never stopped attacking.

He resorted to slashing at them with his dagger, and even that was not enough, there were too many of them, eventually, he began to struggle.

He collapsed to the ground twice, he was grabbed by the legs and then dragged a few inches like a rag doll, when he managed to get up again, another one jumped on him and knocked him down, while holding him back with a grimace of pain, he snapped at his face with his powerful jaws. "Gh-get off me! Get off me!".
