Third Round

Finally, the third round of the Chunin exam is here. The whole village is covered in a festival-like atmosphere. To the civilians, this is a great honour to have a new Chunin in the rank as it means more power and protection for the village.

As excited as young and old are, the contestants aren't that much excited. But one thing is the same for them too and that is to make their village proud.

Naruto stands in the waiting room where all the Genin who passed the 2nd round are staying. He is the only person from his team who actually passed the 2nd round.

He isn't as excited as others. To the current him, they are a bunch of kids acting powerful. The reason he is here is because he needs to put some sense into his brother-in-law and also he wants to see the first catastrophe of the village.

The stadium is now crowded with people. The Hokage and the guest Kage are also here. The 3rd round will start at any moment.

Neji Hyuga VS Naruto Uzumaki

Neji and Naruto stand face to face in the arena and observe each other. Loud cheers are ringing from the audience.

Mostly for Neji. None of the civilians like Naruto and nor do they want to see him winning. Except very few.

"Sis, Handsome Brother will win, right?"

"Naruto-Kun is strong. But big brother Neji is strong too."

Hisashi stays silent and looks at the arena expressionlessly. No one knows what he is thinking.

"Oh! A member of the Hyuga clan? Who is his opponent, lord third?" The Kazekage asked curiously.

Hiruzen took a puff from his smoke and replied "Oh, he is Naruto, this year's chief student."

Pedomaru leaks his lips and looks at Naruto interestingly. He knows that it's the jinjuriki of nine tails.

The other students who pass the second round also look at the fight with curiosity but also seriously. Until now they haven't seen Naruto fighting. His aura was enough to scare others. So no one actually dared to fight him.

Gaara feels excited for some unknown reason. From the first day he met Naruto, the monster inside him stopped disturbing him. It makes him curious and he wants to find out the reason behind it.

Back to the fighting arena.

"Forfeit before you have the chance," Naruto said

Neji opens his Byakugan and takes a fighting stand. He looked at Naruto and said, "It's my destiny to win and you to lose."

Naruto shakes his head and says "Tell me, you believe so much in destiny bulshit and believe that it can not be changed, then why are you still here fighting me? Knowing that fighting me will end your life here?"

Neji gets angry and runs towards him. He wants to finish this battle as soon as possible.

"Aren't you now fighting against destiny? Don't you want to change this destiny? If you really believe that destiny can't be changed then why bother fighting."

"Are you so full of yourself that you can not see the difference between us where everyone can?"

As Naruto says that he tightened his fist and pulled it back a little. Neji also reached him with his Gentle fist attack.

Their fist collides with a thud but it is completely one-sided. Neji pushed back from the force like a little kitten.

Neji got up and looked at Naruto with anger and seriousness. He then prepared to attack again. But before he attacked his whole body was covered in sweat.

"let me show you the difference between us."

He saw Naruto bringing his fist towards his face and it was at that moment he knew he fucked up.

*Wosh* *bang*

The whole arena shakes as if there is an earthquake. Many civilians who weren't ready fell from their seats. The young generation and the Genin's mouths are wide open as they look at the arena.

As for the Jonin present there, their lips twitch as they look at the arena.

In the main platform where Kage is sitting, pedomaru is covered in sweat as he remembers some unpleasant memories of a blonde woman.

Naruto takes his hand back and looks at Neji who is covered with sweat. He pats his face and says "Destiny is not fixed. If you want to change it then work hard, and prepare to face every obstacle. With enough practice and courage, you can fight against any odds. Hinata is a big example of that, and so do you."

"Winner is Naruto!" After a minute of pause, the referee declared the winner as he looked at the destroyed arena.

Neji comes to his senses and looks back. The area behind him looks as if a tornado has passed by here.

Naruto sits in the waiting area and continues to look at the next battle. He is now waiting for Orochimaru to take action.

Suddenly he thought of something and looked at Gaara 'What if he transformed inside the village?'

Sasuke and Gaara are now fighting in the arena and suddenly flower petals start to fall from the sky and everyone starts to fall asleep.

Orochimaru also attacked Hiruzen at the moment.

"Lord third" the Anbu shouted as they tried to protect him.

Naruto keeps sitting on his chair with his cheek resting on his hand and he looks at the chaos around him.

Very soon killing starts to happen between the two sides.

Few notice Naruto sitting there without doing anything. Some of the attackers were relieved and some of the defenders got angry at his attitude.

"Naruto, why aren't you helping?" An anbu ask

Naruto looked at him and said innocently "I am just a Genin, what can I do? Also, I am a monster, so I might accidentally injure villagers."

The anbu and all the Jonin almost puke blood hearing his innocent reply.

Ino, Hinata, Hanabi and his other friends are secretly protected by his shadows. So he is not worried about their safety.

Naruto ignores the angry Shinobi and looks at Gaara and Sasuke leaving the village. For once he wanted to stop Gaara here and let him rampage inside the village.

But then he decides not to do it. As it will worsen their (Sands) relationship with the village. He still needs the sand.

Kakashi looked at Naruto sitting leisurely and sighed. Even he has doubts about the village. But he can't just abandon the innocent for it.

Asuma looks at Naruto and gets angry. He fights his way towards Naruto. He wants to teach this kid a lesson.

Suddenly Naruto notices someone hiding far from the chaos. He looked at that area and sneered. 'You want to hide and watch everything from the shadows?'

Just when Naruto was about to leave, Asuma appeared beside him with a dark face. Naruto looked at him confusedly.

"Why aren't you helping the village?" Asuma ask

"I am not strong enough," Naruto replied casually

"Don't joke around, kid. Do you want to watch the village getting destroyed?"

Naruto looks at him like a moron and shakes his head.

He then disappeared from there and teleported to somewhere else.

Asuma was stunned and then he got more angry. He grits his teeth and leaves to fight the intruder. He will teach him later.

Kakashi and Guy look at each other, sigh and continue to fight the intruder.
