Passing as normal

Mai and I eventually stopped. I had to admit I was worn out, I hadn't really expected that Mai would be very...excitable. In the morning we said nothing to each other. I know understood Mai a lot better now though. In more ways then one, "What's with that stupid grin."

"Huh? Oh just thinking about things." Last night me and Mai had scrubbed away the smells of sex and sweat from the room. Thank god too because Azula seemed very alert today. Azula rolled her eyes, "Well we got some time you wanna talk about anything?"

I was still sort of lost in ideas of starting a harem of women... Mai seemed to play it off incredibly smoothly. While Ty Lee came to the rescue, "Azula you haven't done any fire bending in the last few days. Normally you tend to mess around with little flames."

I bounced at the opportunity to eave my current head space, "That's actually given me an idea! Azula why don't we play catch?"

She looked away, "I don't feel like it." That was weird...

"You aren't even gonna ask him about the idea?" Azula slammed a fist down on her chair, "Not everyone wants to play catch Ty Lee. If you want to play catch with Orin you can."

"No need to snap Azula, besides she can't fire bend. I was thinking some practice with bending." Azula huffed, "Yeah, fine. I am gonna go to my room. Tell me if anything interesting happens."

Mai looked up, "That was weird right?" Me and Ty Lee just sort of nodded. "Now what?" Mai shook her head. "We could do something else?"

I looked at Mai to see what she meant. What she had in mind was a little more within expectations. Mai saw my look and scoffed, "Just get in a triangle." Ty Lee jumped up and sat an equal distant to me and Mai. "I love this game, we used to play it with Zuko whenever Azula wasn't around."

I was about to say something, but Mai beat me. "Phrasing Ty Lee, now get ready."

"You can't just steal my punchline and not explain to me what this game is." Mai rolled her eyes again, "just don't do the same thing we do."

I knew what the game was now, well sort of... Mai threw a coin to Ty Lee. Ty Lee then undid her pony tail and tossed me her scrunchie thing. I figured out how this worked and took out a different type of coin and tossed it to Mai.

"Clever, so you get it." I shrugged, "How do we win?" Mai frowned, and Ty Lee answered "You don't that's why we never played this with Azula."

I immediately understood, "That makes some sense, makes me feel bad though." Mai tossed a knife to Ty Lee as she responded.

"What's to feel bad about? It's not like we didn't try to play with Azula when we were kids. She's the one that needs to win at everything." Ty Lee tossed one of her shoes to me.

"I think Orin means that Azula seems a little off and here we are playing this." I searched my pockets and tossed a wrapped strip of jerky to Mai.

"Why do you just have jerky in your pocket?" She tossed an arrow to Mai taking it out of her sleeve. Where'd she have that? I elaborated on Ty Lee's response though, "Something like that the problem with any child of a ruler is that the child won't be normal. In a relatively normal family you have two parents and usually 1-3 children. One parent is usually around more than the other and the other tends to make money and care for the family financially. The Children then develop based on attention given to them, age and generally environment."

Ty Lee tossed the coin Mai had originally tossed. "I wish it was like that, my family just sucks. I mean I love acrobatics, but its nothing special since all my sister's can do it..."

I tossed Mai Ty Lee's shoe, "Yeah, but your sister's are the worst. They all think having quirky differences makes them special." Mai tossed a knife to Ty Lee, who safely caught it.

"Thanks Mai...but sometimes I wish it was like how Orin described." Ty Lee tossed her other shoe at me, preceding to wiggle her toes. Did she take off her shoes just so she could do that...

"That's just the ideal normal, if you look at Mai's family its pretty close to what I describe until you begin looking at the secondary factors. I mean I consider myself a orphan despite having a family." I tossed Ty Lee's scrunchie to Mai.

"Are you trying to say my family sucks?" Mai had glared at me a bit, and she didn't move on with the game. Ty Lee looked between us, "Did something happen between you two? You seem closer than before."

Mai grew red, "Nothing for you to know Ty Lee, we just, I mean. We had talked last night about some more adult subjects."

Ty Lee frowned, "Don't treat me like I'm a ditz Mai." I saw the signs of what might be a cat fight. I decided to grab my jerky from beside Mai and enjoy the show.

----Azula pov----

I slammed my head against the wall over and over and over again. Thank god we were going to a magic fucking library because i couldn't figure this out. Before getting on this fucking hunk of metal I could likely destroy and melt this entire thing to slag by myself if I truly exhausted myself. Now however...

I sat in my room feeling a little pathetic, what was wrong? Was it because... "No, no my fire weakened before even getting on this. It was when Orin had shown that message about Zuko."

"I mean its not like I am losing my touch am I?" I could only sigh, a tiny puff of smoke gathering in my hand. Not a flame, not any heat, just smoke... should I apologize? Tell them the truth?

Fuck is this how it felt? To feel...

Less than? I felt like, like, Zuko and all the inferiority that came with it. Maybe I should start talking to uncle and go on a impossible quest to regain my honor!

Except it wasn't impossible because somehow that dullard of my brother found the avatar... "Hopefully this magic library will have something... About my condition." I didn't, actually more like couldn't say the truth aloud. I could admit that maybe my flames had weak. I mean I slacked off on practice, but, then I wouldn't be avoiding everyone trying to figure out what caused this.

----*GASP!* Azula lost her bending!?!? Click bait thumbnail with red circle...at 3 am! in all seriousness she didn't lose her bending. You can figure it out, you are smart people. Also 70th chapter so i am gonna work on MHA fic until it has 70 chapters then after that I will be doing equal chapter releases for MHA, DBZ and ATLA in that order. When writing up to 70 for MHA I likely will also do the # of next amount of prepared chapters too. So look out for that stuff!----
