5 Request

I have 2 years to travel to where Avatar Roku resides and speak with Kyoshi through Roku as Aang did. It'll be hard to convince Kyoshi to give me the secret to a longer lifespan, but if I don't ask her ill never know if she is willing to help me attain it. Or at least give me some sort of clue as to where I could discover it. I know that she had someone teach it to her, but it would be difficult locating the person since I know next to nothing about him. I'll figure that out when I arrive on the island.

I asked a close nomad at the temple if they could give me a lift to Roku's island and used the excuse of wanting to become more spiritually connected and that I can achieve enlightenment if I can meditate alongside the avatar.

He naturally agreed to give me a lift since he had seen me mediating for such a long period and he probably thinks that this is what I need to be done.

However, I plan to leave my life as a monk as soon as I reach Roku island. The monk's lifestyle never fit me, but I could bear with it for the time I lived here because they taught me many things. In my previous life, I lived quite well off despite the rising inflation before I died. The monks live in poverty, they don't have any sort of possessions.

I can't frankly live like that since I plan to buy land and settle down somewhere I can be safe during the incoming years before the war beings.

Flying toward Roku island I noticed that all bison are different. I haven't paid much attention to it previously since I was held up on 'bettering' myself.

Anyways, we reached the island in a matter of days and I say my farewells to my now former 'acquaintance'.

It will be rather easy to find Roku here since its populace is rather small because of the risks of living here.

3rd pov

An old person could be seen sitting on a chair with paperwork, presuming to be paperwork that consists of plans for a new building complex for the inhabitants of the small village.

'It's been a long time since I stopped Sozin from committing his quest for world dominance through the new technology that the nation developed. I was faced with quite a dilemma, killing my best friend, or sparing him and keeping a close eye on him for the remaining of my time.' Roku sat inside his office at the center of the small village thinking about his decision years ago.

A commotion outside of the office could be heard faintly, but the old man, who is the Avatar, could hear it rather clearly.

The commotion consisted of a young boy; assumed to be a part of the air nomads from the clothing that he wears.

The boy was insisting to meet the current Avatar to have a conversation.

Roku who had been having an internal dialogue about his past got curious why such a young boy would want to talk to him.

Most people that want to see him, see him as a celebrity. However, this boy had a different tone when wishing to speak to the old Avatar.

All of a sudden a firebolt consisting of molten rocks, air, and water surrounding the bolt of fire got shot out of the roof of the house where Roku was currently in.

This was a signal to the residents and guards that a visitor is allowed to talk to him and that he is interested in the individual.

Clearing the way for the young air nomad, said person started walking in the direction of the old Avatar's house. Having sensed the breathing pattern and how they affected the air around him along with the obvious signal with 4 elements combined shot towards the sky; the nomad stood in front of the door that belonged to Avatar Roku.

Stepping into the house after opening the door, the young air nomad walked into the front of the desk where Avatar Roku sat and introduced himself.

"Hello, Avatar Roku, my name is Akshya, I've come here in hopes of getting my request granted by you."

Roku had always had people come up to him and wanting to have their requests fulfilled. Most of them are ridiculous in his opinion since they often want him to help them with things that don't even involve stuff with the avatar and things an avatar should help with.

With this in mind, Roku thought 'Sigh, if his request involves the usual things I'll send him away. I really thought that he would be different from how he presented himself, not to mention that an air nomad requests something from me.'

"Yes welcome young Airbender, I'll hear out your request and I'll give you a favorable answer depending on what you request."

"Yes, but before I say my request could you tell me how you know that I'm an Airbender?"

"It's rather simple, the air that you constantly change around you to fit the perfect temperature for yourself, I could sense it."

"Ah, that makes sense now that I think about it." The Airbender said before proceeding to name his request "Now onto my request, I want to speak to the previous Avatar through you. I hope to have a conversation with Kyoshi and hope you can be the link to the conversation."
