Auxiliary Immortal

The world of immortal cultivation was always a grand one, filled with powerful swordsmen who could cut planets in half, divine doctors who could bring the dead back to life, and naturally the beautiful female cultivators who's single glance could stop the hearts of thousands of mortal men. Unfortunately for Minos, a poorly talented handy-man disciple of the Green Barrel Sect, that was a life he was destined to never know. That was until he figured out he actually was talented, though not in the conventional ways!

Talent Test

She was naturally aware of what kind of people these 'friends' of hers were, but considering she was leaving to the Nine Yin Maiden Sect tomorrow, she decided to just put up with it for a little longer.

Besides, if she really did kick these ladies out, they'd definitely take their children with them, and Tinka didn't want Rinka to lose any friends.

"What a shame! Well it's getting late, we'd better leave." The lady in charge said, shouting out to her son before heading off with the others.

Seeing everyone leaving, Tinka let out a sigh of relief, calling Minos back down and telling him it was safe.

"Thank heaven they're gone." Minos said, relaxing on the couch.

"You're telling me. If Meronda said even one more word about Daveon, I swear my head would have exploded!" Tinka said, taking a seat next to her husband.

"Let's forget about them, after all, this will probably be our last day together." Minos said, taking Tinka's hand into his.

"Minos…" Tinka said, staring deep into his eyes.

Just as the two were about to have some fun, Rinka ran in from the back, her shoes completely drenched in mud.

"How many times have I told you to clean your shoes before coming back inside!" Tinka shouted, immediately dismounting Minos.

Seeing his wife re-enter 'mother mode,' Minos could only let out a sigh, but remembering that the day was still young, there was still hope.

"Sorry mom, I forgot!" Rinka said, quickly running back to clean her shoes.

"That girl…" Tinka groaned, picking up a nearby mop to clean the area.

"Don't be so stressed, remember, last day." Minos reminded.

"You're right." Tinka said, taking a deep breath to steady herself.

"Here, how about I give you a massage." Minos said.

"That would be nice." Tinka replied.

Laying his wife down on the couch, Minos began using his strong palms to slowly massage Tinka's sore spots.

With his Omniscient Eyes, he was akin to a master masseuse who had been in the craft for a lifetime, immediately able to spot the areas that needed most work.

"Dad, what are you doing to mom?" Rinka asked, finally coming back inside with clean feet.

"Nothing important. Here, take this and go buy some candy, your mom and I are busy." Minos said, tossing a few Nux Stones to Rinka.

"Wow! Thanks dad!" Rinka said happily, running out the front door.

"Now that she's gone, how about I show you my special massage?" Minos said with a smirk, picking Tinka up and taking her upstairs among her loud giggles.

The next day the family woke up early to prepare, after all this was the day of the sect recruitment, so they wanted to get there as soon as possible.

"Rinka, come here!" Tinka said, quickly smoothing out her daughter's somewhat messy hair and making sure it was perfect.

"This isn't a beauty pageant, you don't have to be so worried about appearance." Minos said with a laugh.

"Still, I don't want to leave a bad impression." Tinka replied.

"Mom, you worry too much, dad is right. Besides, we're geniuses, so how could they refuse us?" Rinka said confidently.

"Those are the words I like to hear." Minos laughed, grabbing Rinka and tossing her in the air a few times, causing her to laugh loudly.

"Stop, you're going to mess up her hair!" Tinka said, quickly grabbing Rinka from Minos's arms.

"Alright, let's stop playing around, the city square is quite a distance from here, so we'd better leave now." Minos said, after taking a look out the window and seeing the sun's position.

"Okay!"

With the family all set, they made their way down to the city square, and despite being early, they still found the area completely filled.

There were thousands of people here, and the event had yet to begin, so one could imagine how dense the area would be once the hour came.

Fortunately, the city square was massive, and there was more than enough room even if thousands of more were to arrive.

Finding a relatively empty spot, Minos and his family stood patiently, waiting for the hour to arrive.

As the sun slowly rose in the sky, it was only when it hit its peak did things suddenly change, dozens of massive ships flying in from the distance.

Minos couldn't help but look at the ships with fascination, having never actually seen a contraception capable of flight before.

Rinka and Tinka also looked up at it with wonder, curious if they were going to have a chance to fly on one once they joined the sect.

As the ships arrived, they slowly descended onto the square, forcing the people who had gathered in the area back.

Each ship had a different design, some filled with flames, others ice, some black and others white.

It went without saying that the ship's design was reflective of which sect they were from, so once Minos saw a ship with nine maidens carved on the front, he knew it was time.

As the ship landed, Minos guided his girls towards it, wanting to have a good spot once the recruitment began.

Soon enough, a plank descended from the ship, a beautiful middle-aged woman walking down, followed by dozens of young girls.

"Those who would like to join the Nine Yin Maiden Sect, come here." The woman said, her voice not especially loud but still spreading throughout the entire area.

In almost an instant, a large line formed, Minos fortunate enough to get a spot near the front due to his quick action.

Waiting his turn, he watched as a few girls walked up onto the ship, most of them coming back down with gloomy faces, the failure rate more than 90% from his quick estimation.

Despite this he wasn't worried, already being fully aware of just how talented Tinka and Rinka were.

"Next." A young girl shouted.

"Do you mind if I go up with them, I just want to see their results." Minos asked, causing the girl to think for a moment before whispering to the person beside her.

After waiting for a moment, she finally got her answer, so looking at Minos, she just nodded gently.

"Thank you." Minos said, holding Tinka and Rinka's hands as he went up the plank.

Walking up onto the ship, Tinka and RInka couldn't help but become slightly anxious, their grips on Minos's hand becoming tighter.

"Don't worry, you won't fail." Minos said to them with a gentle smile, gently rubbing their hands to calm them down.

Soon enough, they arrived in a large dark room, the middle-aged woman from before seated at the front, in front of her a large crystal orb that was pulsating with a strange glow.

"Don't be nervous you two, just come here and hold onto this talent orb, it will reveal your potential." She said with a gentle smile, trying to calm the two down.

Letting go of them, Minos stood back as they slowly walked towards the orb, following the woman's instructions.

As the mother, it was natural Tinka took the lead, so after fully understanding what to do, she gently placed her hands on the orb.

It didn't take much time for the orb to begin shining, soon shining so brightly that the entire dark room was illuminated, no different from the outdoors.

"Peak talent!" The woman said joyfully, having never expected that they would actually stumble upon another peak talent.

One has to know that the last time they found a peak talent was decades ago, and by now that person was one of the strongest elders in the sect, and the most likely to become the next matriarch.

Despite being excited, the woman still had her job to do, so after saying a few pleasant things to Tinka, she let Rinka go up.

However, as if the woman had been shocked enough in one day, the room was once again illuminated in the shame brightness, causing the woman's jaw to drop.

"T-two peak talents!" She said, her heart beating rapidly as she felt the chance for the Nine Yin Maiden Sect to rise had come.

"This is your daughter?" She asked, causing Tinka to nod.

"No wonder, she must have inherited her talent from you."

"It's not just me, it's my husband as well!" Tinka said.

"Yeah, my dads a genius too!" Rinka quickly added on.

"Oh? Then how about he come up and give it a test as well. Though he can't join the sect, it would still be helpful to him to know his talent." The woman suggested.

"No, that isn't necessary." Minos quickly responded.
