Chapter 3- Hey Clay!

DREAM POV:

I was excited to meet George and I knew it. My head was still throbbing but I couldn't care less when I was going to meet George. Are people normally this excited to meet fellow YouTubers?

I mean, we've been friends for a while so being excited didn't hurt. Right?

I was at the exit when I called George. The first ring didn't go through before he picked up the phone. I smiled.

Guess I wasn't the only one excited.

"Where are you Clay?"

"Clay..?" you could hear the amusement in my voice.

"Yeah, I'm not calling you Dream when you're literally living with me."

"Fair enough, I'm at the exit...Right next to Terminal 2"

"Okay, stay on the call, I'm coming."

"yessir"

George was probably rolling his eyes about now.

I could hear him starting his car as he headed over.

"So, How was your flight?"

"A normal flight. Classic baby right behind me, sick person next to me. People watching my vids in front."

I could hear George's laughter from the other side. I couldn't wait to see him.

Right on cue, a white Sedan drove up. Inside, was the familiar face I'd been looking for.

"Dream, I'm here...Do you see me?"

That's when I realized that George has never seen me before.

oof. It hit me like a punch to the stomach.

I was suddenly really nervous. I didn't want him to see me. I knew he'd still be friends with me, but there was a feeling at the pit of my stomach I didn't like.

What if he doesn't like how I look?

What if he tries to stay as far away from me as he can?

What if he won't let me stay at his house?

What if-

"Clay?"

"Uh...HUh? Oh, yeah. I s-see you, George!"

George frowned, looking like he wanted to question my stuttering, but he didn't say anything.

"So, are you gonna show yourself or can I head home now?"

"Y-Yeah, I'm wearing a white shirt and ripped blue jeans. I'm waving too."

I watched George's eyes roam as he got out of the car, still with the phone to his ear, until he spotted me.

He froze.

Well fuck.

I instantly knew he didn't like my looks. How could he, I didn't like them myself.

Then I watched him unfreeze and walk over to me, the phone still to his ear.

And then he wrapped me into a hug.

"Hey Clay." He said against my shirt.

I laughed slowly "Do I look like the prince of your dreams?"

"Mhmmm" he mumbled before suddenly jerking out of our embrace to stare at me. Or more accurately, the grin plastered on my face.

"Wait no, I never said that."

"Come on Georgie~" I said "Admit you love me."

"I have to have feelings to admit, you idiot." he looked flustered.

I just laughed, and laughed, and laughed.

Then he started giggling and we were just standing there, sounding like idiots for about 2 minutes, not giving a care in the world about the fact that we were in an airport.

Our laughing fit was interruped by a phone call.

I recognized the ringtone I'd set immediately, so I didn't even bother checking who was calling before I picked up.

"Hey Snapnap!"

"I told you, if you call me that again, we're gonna have problems."

"But Saaaaaaaaaaaap." I whined.

"Not happening Clay. I may know you for 8 years, but I refuse to give you permission to give me weird nicknames."

That's when George snached the phone from my hand, putting it to his own ear.

"Hey Nick!"

"Yeah, he's here. We're still at the airport, just going to head out."

I watched as he suddenly flushed.

"WHAT. No, he smells bad."

"I SWEAR NICK."

"...Yeah okay. Bye, stay safe!"

George cut the call and handed me the phone, completely ignoring the look I was giving him.

"Should we go now or what?"

"Sure, I need to sleep."

"Oh yeah, you haven't slept for how long...?"

"A little under 20 hours."

George grabbed my wrist and pulled me into his car. He stuffed me into the back seat though.

"Sleep. Now."

"Georgeee, I can't sleep in a car...Besides, I'm not that sleepy right now."

"Sure you aren't. At least try? Please."

"Okay, only for you Georgie."

"Dream-"

"Fine."

"Good."

It was true. I knew I needed the sleep, but I wasn't in any way sleepy for two reasons.

One, I was extremely excited to be here. Two, my headache was back. And it was bad.

Really bad.

I could've just lain down, I had the entire back of the car to myself...But I didn't.

Instead, I curled up into a ball right behind the driver's seat so he couldn't see the look on my face even if he wanted to. I then proceeded to forget rear-view mirrors existed and wince.

"CLAY?! Are you okay?"

I startled before I saw his face in the rearview mirror. oops.

"I'm fine, just thought about a cringey post."

not being convincing Clay.

"Seriously...You don't wince when you think about a cringey post out of the blue."

"Eyes on the road, Doc."

"Doc?" He said, even as he bought his eyes back to the road.

"Mhmm." I said, pretending to start falling asleep already, trying hard to ignore the fact that I almost gave myself away.

I could feel him looking at me for a second before I heard a small laugh. Then the radio volume got turned down and George started humming softly.

Even if I wasn't sleepy, I would've fallen asleep within 10 minutes.

But I still couldn't, so I just pretended until we got to his house.

"Oh, Dreeeeeeeeeeam~"

"hmmm?"

"We're here, wake upp."

"Five more minutes.." I said in the sleepiest tone I could muster without sounding straight-up dead.

"Dreamyyyyy."

I bolted up. "WHAT?"

He just looked at me and grinned. "Welp, get out of my car. We're home."

I pretended to look confused a second before, "Oh".

He was already out of the car, noises telling me he was getting the luggage out of the back.

I walked over to the back to see that George, as a matter of fact, had been getting my luggage out because it was now neatly piled on the road. I loaded half of it and began walking into his building. I stopped to grin when I heard a fake-annoyed "Hey!" behind me.

"I'm your guest Georgie, you have to treat me well." He didn't say anything, just groaned.

"Also, you're going the wrong way. This is my building, not that."

"I always knew." I flushed as I turned to where George was heading.

"Sure you did. Guess what-"

"That isn't your building either?"

"Bingo."

"I hate you."

"Awww, thank you Dream."

I followed him as he led me to his real building.

FINALLY.

Just as he was about to unlock the door, my head started pounding again. Instinctively, I raised my free hand to grab it...George probably sensed motion behind him so he turned to see me clutching my head in pain.

Well fuck.

Busted.

"hm...You sure nothing's wrong Clay?" He was smirking suggestively as he said it.

I nervously giggled. "Just a slight headache, nothing to worry about."

"Since when?" As he said it, he grabbed my luggage with one hand and my hand with the other as he pulled me through the now open door...Before shutting it.

"Yesterday, from the shock video."

"So that's why you winced in the car?"

"Yeah."

"You didn't really sleep either, did you?"

"Nope." Stop telling him, Clay, you dunce.

He didn't say anything, just sighed.

"Don't you have meds?"

"I may or may not have forgotten."

He stared at me blankly. Then burst out laughing.

"T-the g-g-great high iq personality D-D-D-Dream forgot-"

He laughed. "Forgot to b-bring meds-"

He was laughing too hard for me to understand what he said after that, so I just stared at him for a bit.

GeorgeNotFound.

George.

Georgie.

Gogy.

Doc.

I smiled, remembering the time I'd helped him come up with a username and the 'UserNotFound' error had come up and we'd gone, "Bingo".

The first time I'd called him 'Gogy', I'd felt like saying 'george.exe has stopped working.', looking at his reaction.

This was my first time seeing George in person. His brown hair looked a shade or two lighter, I couldn't see his eyes, since he kept them close while laughing. His face looked a lot prettier in person-

Wait what?

It's okay to think your friends look pretty right?

Yeah. Yeah it is. I'm not gay.
