"Explain," asked King Eldor as he had his gaze on the staff.

"You might have been curious as to how the golems follow my command?" said Geppeto, posing the question.

"Yes, yesterday when you were knocked out, I got to witness how intelligent they are, and I have to say that I am impressed. But what does that have to do with this staff?" asked King Eldor.

"Well, to put it in simple terms, whoever holds this staff is the one the golems will consider its rightful master," said Geppeto as he offered the staff to King Eldor.

Seeing this, the king immediately reached out and grabbed hold of it. He stroked the staff with his hands as he marveled at the workmanship. At the top, the head of a golem sat comfortably, and he felt more powerful already as he held it in his hands.
