Carnivorous Rabbits

Aaron looked at the humongous white rabbit peacefully eating grass. This was definitely a Demonic Beast and it made Aaron think. "At Eswald's Academy there's a hunting/survival test, which makes my current situation perfect for training, and the main source of food there would be Demonic Beasts. "So… should I roast it or steam it?"

After making a difficult decision, Aaron ended up choosing to roast it. However, he realized that he had no ingredients. "It won't be as good without spices" He felt slightly dejected.

At this moment, the huge rabbit seemed to have noticed something. Its long ears shot up in vigilance as it suddenly looked around.

It had blood-red eyes and even though it was looking up, it kept munching with its mouth.

Aaron and the rabbit stared at each other for a long time, confusing Aaron slightly. "Is it friendly?"

However, when he saw the cute little mouth open and reveal rows of shining white teeth, Aaron realized he was wrong.

It definitely was no normal rabbit!

This rabbit is very cute, so how come its teeth are so sharp?!

When Aaron felt the nefarious intent from the white rabbit, he subconsciously retreated a step back.

When he felt the ferocious Spirit Energy coming from the huge white rabbit, he became more certain. Aaron quickly unsheathed his sword and took a defensive stance. The giant rabbit's eyes glowed with an eerie red light as it charged at him with incredible speed. Aaron's heart was pounding in his chest as he focused on the rabbit's movements, waiting for the right moment to strike.

The rabbit leapt into the air, its sharp claws extended towards Aaron. With a quick movement, Aaron sidestepped the attack and swung his sword towards the rabbit. The blade connected with the rabbit's fur, but didn't seem to do any damage.

The rabbit landed on the ground and turned around, ready to attack again. Aaron realized that the rabbit's fur was incredibly tough and that his sword wouldn't be able to cut through it, even when encased with Spirit Energy. He would have to find another way to defeat it.

As the rabbit charged at him again, Aaron waited until the last possible moment before jumping into the air and striking downwards with his sword. The blade connected with the rabbit's head, and this time it caused a deep gash in the rabbit's fur.

The rabbit let out a high-pitched screech and stumbled backwards, giving Aaron the opening he needed. He quickly followed up with a series of attacks, striking the rabbit as much as he could.

The rabbit fought back with all its might, but Aaron's skill with the sword was too much for it to handle. Finally, with a final strike, Aaron delivered the killing blow and the rabbit fell to the ground.

Exhausted and covered in sweat, Aaron stood over the defeated rabbit. He had never fought a battle like this before, It took him more than a hundred sword slashes to kill it, coming out victorious. As he wiped his forehead with the back of his hand, he saw the rabbit's corpse turn into strands of light, floating in the air before quickly rushing towards him.

On instinct, he tried to dodge, but it was in vain as he couldn't compete with its speed. The lights merged with his chest, giving him a warm and comfortable feeling.

"What the hell was that?" Aaron's confusion quickly turned into worry, as ahead of him stood two more rabbits, staring at him with their blood-red eyes, drawn here by the sounds of the previous fight.

As Aaron gazed at the two rabbits before him, one black and one white, he couldn't believe what he was seeing. They were each about the same size as the one he had just killed, and they quickly started running towards him in a frenzy.

Without a moment's hesitation, Aaron turned and dashed to the right, knowing that just one of those huge rabbits was already a big challenge. But now there were two, and he wouldn't be able to handle them. His previous fight had left him drained of stamina and Spirit Energy, and after bursting out at full speed, he was soon short of breath. The sound of the grass rustling never stopped, and he knew without a doubt that it was the rabbits chasing him.

The grassy plains seemed boundless, and Aaron ran at full speed for kilometers, panting heavily but gritting his teeth and pressing on. But as he ran, he realized that more rabbits had joined the chase, and now there were more behind him. He knew that if he dared to stop, he would be torn to pieces.

His chest was in immense pain, his throat was dry and sore, and his legs were numb as though they weren't his. But he kept running forward subconsciously, unable to think about anything else.

More and more rabbits gathered behind him, lining up uniformly like kids led in a run. But these kids opened their mouths widely showing their rows of sharp teeth, and Aaron ran faster, knowing he couldn't let his guard down.

Just when his consciousness was blurring out, the rabbits behind him suddenly raised up their ears and froze. Moments later, they all spread apart and ran into the brushes, leaving Aaron alone.

He heard it without seeing it, and when he turned to take a glance, he found that the rabbits hunting him had completely disappeared. His mind relaxed, and his body stumbled to the ground.

He would never forget this conflict. When he got stronger, he would come back to deal with these bastards. Just as he made up his mind, a sudden pain in his chest hit him. He looked down, and blood spurted out, causing his vision to fall into darkness.
