40 BONUS CHAPTER: A cat's life in the City of Hatisa

PS: THIS STORY IS NOT PART OF THE MAIN STORY. JUST A QUICK STORY OF A CAT LIVING IN THE CAPITAL CITY OF HATISA.

.

You looked at yourself and you somehow turned into a cat. Nyani? A big orange cat suddenly walked towards you.

"Hello, there. I'm Mr. Koko. I'm the leader of the cat gang here in the city. I've never seen your face around these parts. Did you get lost or come from the outside?"

You were confused and didn't know what to do.

"Meow?"

You understood him but you somehow couldn't speak.

"What an odd cat you are. Uhm, how about a quick tour of the city? Even though I'm a stray cat, we get plenty of food here."

Mr. Koko guided you through the Alleyway where you woke up. You can somehow understand the cat language although, in normal races, it just sounds like- meow!

"Oh, be careful walking there. It's kind of bumpy."

You two kept walking and stumbled upon the big city buildings from afar and deadeye in front of you was a big Pantheon-like structure from the outside.

Mr. Koko bumped you a bit for you were stuck in awe of its design.

"Beautiful isn't it? It's the Academic Library here in the City. You need to pay to enter it though. The last time I tried entering it, A beautiful fox-like lady carried me out. I always walk by it and look at her and she always smiles back at me. She must like me."

You looked at it again and you saw the fox person he was talking about.

"Speak of the devil. Oh, look, someone is talking with her. Ah, she truly is beautiful."

A couple of minutes passed by and the fox person was still talking with the person in a dark bluish cloak.

"It's already time I walk past by and be greeted by miss fox. This dude had been bargaining his way inside. Ah, I hate people like him. Come on, I need to catch her attention."

You followed Mr. Koko and walked past in front of the fox person. The fox person saw the two of you and smiled.

"Ah, she is so beautiful. I need that smile every day. Anyway, are you hungry? There is a restaurant close by here, just a couple of blocks away. It's called Dry Fins. They got a lot of fish scraps behind the restaurant we can eat."

Mr. Koko looked at you.

"Are you even listening to me?"

"Meow?"

"You really are a weird cat."

The two of you then walked for a couple of minutes and reached the restaurant.

"Hurry up, I think we are late. I saw some other cats go behind the restaurant earlier."

You two walked behind the restaurant and what greeted your eyes were a lot of scraps of fish that somehow looked appealing in your eyes.

"I knew it, some are already here. Hey, move over. Give your boss some of that."

The group of cats moved away and let Mr. Koko grab his share. Mr. Koko grabbed two pieces of fish that still has some of the meat in them.

"Don't worry, I got us some good ones. I'm the boss so they respect me a lot."

Mr. Koko then shouted to the group of cats, "You can eat now!"

"Here, take a bite!"

You tasted the fish Mr. Koko got you and it tasted pretty good.

"MEOW!"

"Even when you eat, you sound so weird."

The two of you finished eating and continued walking inside the city until you encountered a park.

"I usually spend my whole time here until night. It's refreshing here."

"Meow..."

"Although I don't understand you, I guess that meant something nice."

The day ended and you two rested beneath a park bench. Other cats came as you all cuddled into a big group of fluffiness.

"Goodnight..."

"Meow..."

The morning came and Mr. Koko toured you to the shops in the city.

"There are a lot of shops here ranging from normal food stalls to sorcery shops. I've seen some crazy stuff here in this city and most of them are from here."

"Meow."

you two looked at the people that walked by and saw the guy from yesterday who was talking to the fox person in the Academic Library.

"It's that dude again... He walked into the sorcery shop. Let's tail him."

The two of you walked toward the shop and waited in front. Just like statues, you two acted as if you were a part of the shop.

It took quite a while before the dude you two were tailing got out of the shop but you two continued to tail him into an empty alleyway.

"He looks kind of shady."

As Mr. Koko said that, something popped out of his bag.

"What is that blob-like creature?"

You two looked as you hid behind a wooden box. You saw him feed it with something and it began to change its color, almost blinding both of your eyes.

"I've never seen such a powerful glow before. We must get out of here."

"Meow."

The two of you went back to the busy street.

"That thing sure was something. I've never seen a glow that bright before. Just another one of those weird magical stuff that is happening in this area I supposed. But if he ever does something to Ms. Fox from the Academic Library, I'll pounce him without hesitation."

Mr. Koko's eyes were beaming in courage as he said that. You thought that he must really love the fox person.

"Meow."

While walking in the busy street, you somehow felt a bit tired and so the two of you rested a while back in the park.

Mr. Koko then said, " Do you know why the capital city of the country of wishes is called Hatisa?"

"Meow."

"Because in a perfect world of being granted anything, you would desire nothing. That is Hatisa."

"Meow!"

"You really are a funny cat."

You two enjoyed the time in the park as you felt sleepy and your eyes drowsy. Before you know it, you fell asleep.

"Phobos, wake up! We are crossing this fog toward the archipelago."

"I'm... not a cat..."

"What are you talking about, let's go, you two."

"What a weird dream that was."

(Stupid Mr. Koko. That fox person was a guy, not a lady.)
