36 Don’t Disappoint Me

Pan walked over to Logan. Her face was pale, and the eyes that had always been bright before now looked a little dim.

"Logan, sorry… I endangered you…."

Logan shook his head, swallowed hard, and frowned. He took Pan's hand, gripping it.

"It's okay, we will find a way out of this problem."

Even though Logan tried to cover it up, it couldn't be denied that they had terrible luck. The dungeon they entered rose from tier 3 to tier 4, not just any tier 4 dungeon, but an Emergency Dungeon.

Of all the dungeons in the world, emergency dungeons are one of the most challenging. Once a fixed number of people have made it inside, they won't be able to get out unless they successfully clear the dungeon, of course, by killing the last boss.

Logan let go of Pan's hand and walked past the others, combing the surroundings they were in this time. The place was filled with ruins of buildings made of mossy stone. On any side where the eyes looked, they could also find many trees and plants growing wildly.

Logan's heartbeat suddenly started beating faster, cold sweat dripping from his forehead.

'A tier 4 emergency dungeon with a setting like this.'

Of the many dungeons Logan could remember, the setting that was now in front of him matched well with-

"The Dungeon of Golems."

Besides this dungeon being a tier 4 dungeon, which was more than what he was capable of this time around, there was another unfortunate thing that Logan was anxious about. If this was really a dungeon filled with Golems, then the power he had would not be too influential against them.

Logan's strength, which relies more on poison and quick attacks, won't be helpful against them. Golems are driven by Monster Cores and can only be defeated if they manage to destroy their Cores.

'Besides being troublesome to beat, this monster won't even give you any Monster Cores.'

Logan turned to the elves as Rania released a hawk-shaped Spirit Beast into the sky. Navigators like Rania have an excellent ability to be spies. She can see through the spirit beasts she releases into the air.

Logan approached the others, watching Rania, who was now standing with blank eyes.

Zeno and Ilmar looked the calmest among the rest. Obviously, they were both the most experienced of them. He was sure that they had experienced the same thing before.

Rania blinked her eyes, then looked back at the others with a worried face.

"Zeno, I've got a picture of this area."

Ilmar and Zeno turned to Rania and Pan, who still looked pale, no longer showing the smile that had never left her face before.

"This place is ruled by the Golems."

Logan was shocked by Rania's explanation, even though he had expected it, but he still hoped that it was another monster that they would face.

Logan clenched his fists. Just when he wanted to strive to become stronger, he was immediately met with an unreasonable challenge like this.

'Do you want to kill me this early, Zyltic? Or whoever is responsible for all this?'

"Is it doable?"

"Golems are creatures that can withstand physical attacks, unless we eradicate their Monster Cores."

Pan was the first to respond to Rania's explanation. Next, Zeno answered with the most logical explanation of how to defeat the Golem.

"The only way we can do that is by damaging their mobility. That way, it will be easier to beat them."

Logan nodded his head at Zeno's explanation to the others. If the Golems had been damaged on their feet, they would have a hard time moving around, so it would be easier to defeat them.

Logan walked away from the others, sat on the rocks, then closed his eyes. He wanted to immediately confirm the condition of all the new Souls he got, which had now turned into a coat and a ring.

Logan was back in a dark place, but he was not alone with a snake this time. There were two other figures before him.

"Now introduce yourselves and the abilities you have."

"My Lord… Praising My Lord Soul Emperor gruuu, I love you, My Lord…."

The first to answer was a girl 1 meter tall, sitting on a brownstone. She was a soul that resided in the black ring.

The girl looked more like a plant, with green skin and green hair. Several tendrils came out of her body as if to form a dress that extended all the way down. She has no legs but rather dozens of green stalks and vines that creep around wherever she sits.

"So you're a girl? Okay, now your name is Ivy…."

"My Lord, I Love you so much… Gruuu… Thank you so much…."

Logan turned to look at another monster in the room, a giant spider almost as tall as him. A spider monster that resides in the dark blue coat.

"Steeder steeder… Master…"

"I think I got a better name for you."

Logan thought about the best name to give to the spider. Then something suddenly appeared in his mind.

"Okay, now your name is Peter. Yes, Peter Steeder."

"Peter… Peter… I like it, Master…."

[Evolution Completed]

[Evolution Completed]

There were two notifications showing the evolution of the two souls that Logan had just named. He has managed to have three souls with tier 3 at once with this.

"Okay, now Ivy. Immediately explain all the skills you have."

"Gruuu My Lord… My 1st skill is Passive Thorny Whip. I can apply a thorny modification to your weapon gruuu. To that stupid snake out there… gruuu…."

"Pssshhh, I'm the senior here, respect me!!!"

Venom, the snake that was initially silent in the corner of the room, suddenly crawled and approached Ivy.

"Shut up Venom. I don't have enough time."

Venom lowered his head and crawled back into the corner of the room.

The first skill given by Ivy can provide a more significant damage effect than Logan's Dagger. Besides containing the poison of a Snake, the combination of toxins with Ivy will also strengthen Logan's potential damage in the future.

"Okay Next Ivy."

"Passive-Flourishing Forest, I can help My Lord to regenerate your health if you are in nature."

Ivy's second skill allowed Logan to heal himself if he was close to nature. Although this ability wouldn't be as strong as an actual healer class, it was enough to increase his fighting ability. If he fought in the forest and at night, Logan would become a monster.

"Next"

"Passive-Forest Whisper, I can increase My Lord Strength by 10% when being in nature."

Another passive skill. Logan was immensely grateful that he didn't have to remember her skills one by one, as they would automatically activate without him asking for it.

"Gruuu. Now, now, the last one is Passive-Friend With Nature, I can increase My Lord affinity with plant type creatures. Gruuu I love you My Lord…."

Logan frowned.

"Increasing Affinity with a plant type creature?"

Logan found the last skill not very useful, even though it was a skill Ivy got after receiving the Name from Logan.

"Nice…"

Logan walked over to the plant girl and stroked the hairs of the leaves stuck to her head.

Logan turned to the spider monster, who looked impatient, waiting for his turn.

"Okay, Peter. Mention all the skills you have. Don't disappoint me after giving you that name, OK?"
