17 Taming an Alpha (2)

'How am I supposed to copy the Still Force?' I thought to myself.

Since my uncle went to search the city for the child, I had nothing to do in the meantime. However, the detective kept trying to persuade me to join the Detective Department. She was really annoying.

"I do not think that you can copy the Still Force," said Ryuk. "The Still Force is the opposite of The Speed Force. I think that you need to comprehend it like your uncle."

When I tried to copy my uncle's Still Force ability, the only message that showed up in front of me was [Still Force cannot be copied.]

'If I can't copy The Still Force, I will need to search for an ability that will be useful to me. Something that is highly compatible with the Speed Force.' I thought.

"Why don't you tell Alfred about your ability? He is one of the most loyal people to the Allen Family. Even if everyone in this world turns their back on you, I am sure that he will keep standing by your side." Ryuk gave his opinion.

Although I did not expect Ryuk to praise Alfred like that, he was right. Alfred being the last version of the Wells, was the most loyal person to the Allens. I can completely trust him with my secret as well. However, I won't tell him about it unless I have a reason to.

"Hm... seems like you haven't lost your intelligence yet." Ryuk nodded.

'What do you mean by that? I had to tell The Speed Force about my secret because she is as strong as you. What was I supposed to do? She can feel all my emotions and partially read my mind. She created me and turned me into a speedster. How can I face her without any preparations?' I asked.

"I do not blame you. However, if she had tried to harm you I would have intervened. After all, I do not want your story to end like this." Ryuk comforted me.

CRACKLE

All of a sudden, Thomas appeared with a child in a flash of lightning.

"I think that I found our suspect," Thomas said. Behind him was a five-year-old boy with black hair and black eyes with bruises all over his body. He was wearing a coat meant for an adult to cover his body. "He has a gun wound on his shoulder. The bullet matches with the ones that the victim used."

"Do you have to arrest him? He is just a kid. I don't think that he killed the victim intentionally." I asked.

"Rules are rules, we can't overlook a crime like a murder. However, if it is proven that he is truly innocent and did not kill the victim intentionally then he will get a faster release." said the detective.

"What if I can prove that he is innocent?" I asked.

"Then I will release him right now." the detective answered.

The kid was totally confused. He never thought that someone would actually step up for him. After his tribe was massacred, he was captured by a bunch of people who sold some of the members of his tribe to rich people. The ones who tried to fight back were killed as well. After a long time, he was finally sold to one of the owners of the Art Gallery in New York.

His owner had beaten him day after day. However, all of a sudden, one day something inside of him woke up. He let go of all the wrath inside of him and attacked his owner. He was strong, but his owner had outsmarted him. He was shot in his left shoulder, because he had never learned how to fight. He fell on his knees, roaring at his owner. He expected that his owner would kill him right then. However, the moment that he was waiting for never came. When he opened his eyes he saw his owner lying on the floor with his eyes open.

He was dead. Something had killed him.

"Did none of the servants hear his screams?" asked the detective.

"The room is soundproof. Plus, there is a secret basement under this room." I moved towards the closet and knocked on the wall.

KNOCK KNOCK

The sound of the knocks was that of a wooden door.

"You did a bad job at moving the closet." I smiled, looking at the kid. "Move the closet, please."

The police officers moved the closet to the corner of the room, revealing an open door. There was a foul stench coming from the room.

"There you will find enough evidence to prove that the child was the real victim," I said.

"But that doesn't mean that the child is not the killer." The detective argued.

"Wally, activate the scanner and search for footprints," I ordered.

Wally hopped off of my shoulder and scanned the entire room showing the footprints on the ceiling.

"What the hell?" one of the police officers exclaimed.

"That is the footprint of a skilled assassin. Someone with an insect-based meta ability." I said.

"Is that footprint real?" Ryuk asked.

'No, you idiot, I planted that evidence. Just in case I might need to use it.' I replied.

"I see... So it was someone from the Assassin Syndicate perhaps. Very well, then that kid is free to go. We really appreciate your help in this case Mr?" the detective asked.

"Savitar, you can call me Savitar," I replied.

"Thank you, Savitar and you too Mr. Flash. It was nice to work with both of you." The detective bowed slightly.

"What about the kid?" Uncle asked.

"Alfred might enjoy a bit of company while we are gone," I said.

"Hm, good idea. We will take care of the child." Uncle declared.

"If you insist." The detective looked at me. "I hope that you consider my offer. I will meet you at Paragon."

"I will," I replied. 'Hell no.'
