LEARNING ABOUT MS. SOPHIE

The first period had come and gone, and there was still no sign of Rex. Concerned, I decided to search for him before the next class began. My footsteps led me to the music hall, where I saw Mr. Dwight.

"Sydney, what brings you here? Aren't classes supposed to be in session?" Mr. Dwight greeted me in the music hall.

"I am searching for Rex. He hasn't been in class since it started. Have you seen him?" I inquired.

Mr. Dwight seemed taken aback. "He wasn't in class? I didn't realize he was affected by their argument yesterday."

"I am sorry, Mr. Dwight, but I'm a bit lost here," I admitted, feeling a wave of confusion. "What argument are you referring to?"

Mr. Dwight's expression turned solemn. "Rex blames his mother for what happened to you, and he is considering leaving home because of it. I have tried to talk him out of it, but this time, he is not listening to me."
