Chapter 2 Confrontations

The sinister figures returned victorious to the Malfoy family manor and one person celebrates as one of theirs.

"Ahahhaha That was a lot of fun, don't you think? brothers like that I thought he was about to start crying hahahah." Bellatrix talks about her actions as if it were a game she won.

Her accomplices weren't in the mood to celebrate. Goyle Sr was slightly injured and was being healed as best he could by Nott Sr.

They were lucky that the victims who were mugged had freshly prepared medicine otherwise the injured man might have lost his arm.

Nott and Crabbe Sr took their ailing comrade to a sterilized room on the first floor of the house. Snape disappeared into another room unnoticed and questioned his actions.

Peter Pettigrew was present at the attack and saw the consequences of his betrayal. Even if he is not in the Order of the Phoenix himself, he has good friends who are brave in the fight against evil and are part of the good cause.

When he told his friends that he didn't want to become a member, they couldn't blame him. They were all friends with him and Peter, or what he is also called Wormtail, was never a good fighter.

And just a few days ago he met up with Sirius to check on his friends. Sadly for Sirius, he mentioned that some members will be gathering plants to help the injured.

It was on the same day that the dark lord himself sought out this weakling and threatened him. In the end he became a spy for the Death Eaters and tearfully knelt before Voldemort.

He hates himself for not being as strong as his friends and keeps watching the same scene that just happened over and over again.

It was the moment when almost all enemies were dead and bellatrix began to unleash her cruel torture-loving streak.

The two protectors of this squad were Gideon and Fabian Prewett, both of whom have been causing trouble for the Death Eaters lately.

The fight was already won by the Death Eaters and only Gideon Prewett the eldest brother of Fabian and Molly Prewett (Weasley) was still standing.

He had defended himself strongly and even hit one of his attackers with the cut spell, but he couldn't do anything against so many.

This is how it happened after another quick change of location, Bellatrix managed to force the man, who had already been injured by dark magic, to his knees.

"Crucio!" She screamed as she suddenly appeared from behind his back and the red magic hit him on the back.

Without being able to defend himself any longer, he falls to his knees screaming and then he lies completely on the ground.

The screams of pain were only drowned out by the mad laugh of his torturer. He tried to get away with all his strength and so he pulled his body away with his arms.

The laughter only got louder and crazier as she saw where he was dragging himself and then he himself felt his hands touch and clutch his little brother's lifeless body, he screamed loudly.

"NOT MY BROTHER!"

It was too much for Lucius and he spoke the spell of salvation for a already dead man.

"Avada Kedavra."

The screaming and laughing stopped abruptly as Bellatrix saw who was casting the spell and angrily walked towards it with her wand pointed at him.

"Goyle Sr is injured we need to go back to get proper treatment."

It was all a result of peter's weakness and he despises himself for it.

"You should go." Says Lucius to the others and goes into the bedroom where he saw his pregnant wife sleeping with Aurelius in her arms.

He washes and changes after two glasses of fire whiskey he lies down with his family.

*Time skip*

It's been 4 months since the Malfoy family had grown again, this time it was a son and Narcissa named him Draco.

The name always reminded her of dragons and she often dreamed of seeing one when she was young.

The boy seems to have a playful streak in him and makes fun of almost everyone outside like a normal baby is.

Aurelius turned four in March and at this age began to build up his Occlumency with his uncle Severus.

The boy has had already three times using wandless inadvertently magic before, every child with magic has moments where they use magic uncontrollably.

Magical children were prone to using magic accidentally when feeling angry, scared, or confused, as a form of self-defence.

The Death Eaters have had success on and off since the murder of the Prewett brothers and it seems they have the upper hand.

They were all the more upset when Lily Potter recently gave birth to a boy. The dark lord made it clear at a meeting that he would personally take care of this problem.

It was the same day that Severus entered his nephew's family home and helped Aurelius with his Occlumency.

"Severus, you're early." Narcissa Commenting near the fireplace the long man dressed in black just came out of.

"Where is he ?" Snape didn't enjoy small talk and demanded to start immediately.

"Aurelius is in the library."

Without wasting any more time, he hurries to the library he appears to be floating off the ground as Narcissa looks at him.

The boy sat in a comfortable armchair that was clearly too big for him and read a thick book.

"Let's begin." Without even greeting him, he appears in front of him and takes out his wand.

Aurelius put the book aside and sat up straight to be able to see his uncle he had to look up and then it started.

"Legilimens."

In the end the teacher was satisfied and says.

"You've made progress don't rest on your laurels and practice harder."

"When will I be able to learn legilmentics?"

"Not now."

Aurel declare it closed and picks up the thick book again. Severus looked at the book cover it was shabby and the heading was barely legible.

'Useful spells, light and dark.'

Not sure what to make of that, he was ready to go but was stopped.

"Severus, please follow me into the Saloon."

The father of his nephew asked and disappeared as he came.

The saloon was an imposing room with high ceilings, paintings on the walls and a long table.

This table was made of ebony an almost all black wood not normally found in europe but magic has made it possible for the property to grow these and other foreign wood.

Rare magical beasts were also hung on the walls. This room strides in elegance and sophistication.

Lucius led Snape to a couch where he sat down, he sagged into the leather like he was in a swamp.

"Make yourself comfortable it's enchanted you'll like it. The lord said he comes here if he succeeds so let's wait"

Although Severus had no interest in company, he sat down next to the blond man and waited.

Timeskip two hours

Both sat in the same positions and if Severus didn't have Occlumency he would probably be tapping his feet on the floor impatiently.

Snape rises and says "I'm going to stop in godric's hollow and see what's going on there."

"Do what you have to do."

The dark-clad man Apparates away from the Mansion and finds himself in Godric's Hollow near the Location Wormtail told them.

The front door to the building is still open and bad thoughts are already forming in Severus' head. He pulls out his wand and enters the house.

Ready to fight, he first examines the basement, the kitchen, a hallway and a living room. Objects have been knocked over on the way to the stairs.

He climbs the first few steps and sees James Potter lying motionless on the ground.

He quickly walks upstairs the hallway leaving James alone. When he saw a woman's red hair on the floor he almost tripped.

Lily Potter his childhood friend and his crush lay on the floor in the devastated children's room.

Snape fell to his knees in front of the fading Lily and began to cry. Holding her in his arms trying to cast healing spells even though he knew, his love had died.

So he kept crying and didn't realize that little Harry saw him under the bed after 20 minutes mourning Snape notices that a baby is crying he had hope.

He looked at the bed and noticed little Harry. After pulling the baby out he saw the tearful Harry's face.

Among other things, he sees a characteristic wound on the forehead, it has the shape of a lightning bolt. Right next to Lily lay his lord's wand on the floor but where was the owner?

He wipes the tears from his face and activates his Occlumency to clear his head. Snape is a master of Occlumency and Legilimency.

Occlumency was the magic of closing one's mind against Legilimency. It was ancient, and had existed since medieval time.

It could prevent a Legilimens from accessing one's thoughts and feelings, or influencing them. A wizard or witch who practised this art was known as an Occlumens.

The most basic form of Occlumency is, involved clearing one's mind making it (blank and empty) in order to prevent a Legilimens from perceiving one's emotions and thoughts.

More advanced Occlumency involved suppressing only the thoughts, emotions, and memories that would contradict whatever it was an Occlumens wished a Legilimens to believe.

Legilimency is the act of magically navigating through the many layers of a person's mind and correctly interpreting one's findings.

A person who practised this art is known as a Legilimens. Muggles may have called this (mind-reading), but practitioners disdained the term as naive.

Wearing his emotionless mask, he gets ready to apparate back to Malfoy Manor.
