3 Training

2 weeks later

Ryu's POV

"Come on, you're barely improving." sighed Lydia

I groaned as I tried pulling myself up over the bar.

"Hey Lydia calm down, he did 10 that's not bad." said Kishimoto

"Not bad? Every Ryu was able to do over 20." said Lydia, "I get that he was never physically strong but why hasn't his augmentation reacted?"

"Beats me, we're just going to have to inject augmentation into him for now." said Kishimoto

"You can inject augmentation into someone?" I asked

"Yes, but the augmentation we inject isn't going to be that strong." replied Kishimoto

I nodded and let go of the bar and started stretching my arm.

"You're really different from the past Ryus." said Lydia

"How's that?" I asked, "Physically?"

"No not just that, every Ryu we ever had was determined, strong, strict and nice at the same time, very persistent. But you, you're brilliant, shy, gets scared easily, easily, and gives up pretty easily." replied Lydia

"Sorry if you don't meet the expectations of your Ryus but I'm really only persistent in studying." I replied

"He got all the intelligence from every Ryu." sighed Kishimoto, "Ryu was never this smart."

'Even they don't like me here.'

"Anyways it's time to get you suited up." said Kishimoto

I nodded and he led me to the armory room where it was filled with weapons from different earths.

"Put this on." said Lydia

She hands me a one piece attire that looked like a thick leather coat but had some kind of snake kind of coating on it. It looked like one of those Halo Spartan suits you have to wear before putting on the metallic armor. I changed into it and I saw that it was big and I couldn't zip it up on my own since the zipper was in the back.

"Uhhh, this is way too big." I called from the changing room

"Press the logo on your chest." replied Lydia

I looked down and saw the logo so I pressed it and it shrunk into tights. It caught me by surprise but I examined the tights, they felt so light and thin that I could feel everything on my body, including my fingernails.

"Put on the shoes next to you." said Lydia

I looked around and saw some shoes in the corner of the room. I put them on but they were big on me as well so I touched the MVA logo and they shrunk to be perfect on my feet. I came out and they were waiting for me next to the chair.

"You need a haircut, you're hair is too long." said Lydia

I nodded and sat on the chair and then machines started cutting my hair shorter, my hair used to be like 5 inches long but now they were like an inch long.

"There now the nova tech armor." said Lydia

I didn't want to question why it was called nova so I just walked up the stairs and onto a circle.

"Raise both of your arms to your sides shoulder length." said Lydia

I did and she pressed a button and a machine with arms from above me started attaching the same metallic plating both Lydia and Kishimoto also had onto me. There was a small electric friction every time a metal plate was attached to the leathery tight.

"The electric magnetic fields will keep the plates attached, it'll be hard to rip it off and the tights keep your body from tearing apart. So if some monster tries ripping you in half it won't happen no matter how strong they are." said Kishimoto

"Sounds assuring." I replied

After they finished putting it on I lowered my arms and tested it out. The armor and gear on me felt so light that I felt like I was naked, I didn't feel uncomfortable or annoyed by the looks.

"Now here, wear this." said Lydia

She hands me a silky black cloak with a hood and arm sleeves.

"That can make you turn invisible, blocks any kind of bullets, energy weapons, mortars, anything." said Lydia

I put them on and slipped my arms through them and nodded.

"If you want to turn invisible, just press the button on your forearm." said Kishimoto

I looked at my forearm and I didn't notice a long narrow looking thing across my forearm. I didn't know how to turn it on so Kishimoto showed me his forearm and just waved his hand above the thing and a holographic screen popped out. Then he pressed a small button on the side and he turned invisible. I looked at my forearm and tried them both, and to my surprise it worked.

"Cool..."

"Now your augmentation." said Lydia

She approaches a machine that looks like an ATM bank and presses some buttons on it. Then something pops out from the side and she takes it and approaches me. She gestures to me to tilt my head so I do and injects me with a needle and I start feeling dizzy.

"You'll feel dizzy but don't worry it'll wear off in a few seconds." said Lydia

After a few seconds the dizziness faded and I nodded that I was fine.

"Now your weapon is in your wardrobe so use that." said Lydia

"Oh that's mine? I thought it was the other Ryu's." I replied

"It is, it belonged to Prime Earth Ryu." sighed Lydia

"I see then I don't want to use that one." I said

"Why not?" asked Lydia

"I want to use something that fits me." I replied

Lydia looked like she was about to argue but Kishimoto shook his head and Lydia just led me to the weapons.

"Here pick one that fits you." sarcastically said Lydia

I began examining the swords, testing them out one by one. Then something caught my eyes and I picked them up, it came with two identical swords, both had an orange streak, thin, light, straight and easy to hold.

"This." I said

Lydia raised an eyebrow and Kishimoto just awkwardly smiled.

"Yea sure." sighed Lydia

She gave the scabbards for the swords and I didn't know where to put them so she raised up my cloak and installed the scabbard behind me and I sheath my sword back in place.

"Okay now you're all set now time for your first virtual training." said Kishimoto

"Huh? I didn't even train in hand to hand combat." I babbled

I didn't know a thing about hand to hand combat. I wasn't babbling cause I didn't want to do it but because I was scared I might disappoint them.

"It's fine it's just a valuation." said Kishimoto

"Sure." I sighed

He led us to an empty room covered with what looked like solar panels.

"We'll be watching from the other room." said Kishimoto

They left me alone in the huge ass room so I walked around a bit looking at the solar looking panels.

All of a sudden the lights in the room turned off catching me off guard. I slowly crept around the room when I felt a gush of wind hit me from below then the floor underneath me disappeared and I was falling. I looked down and I was looking at an earth and I was falling straight towards it.

I screamed in fear and then I started burning once I got close to the atmosphere. The suit and cloak protected me but my face felt all the heat but for some reason it wasn't burning. I got closer to the surface and I tried looking for anything to save me from falling. I looked around but I couldn't find anything to save me, then I saw my cloak. I tried taking it off to use it as a parachute but it wouldn't come off of me.

'Fuck fuck fuck.'

I was about to crash so I shut my eyes tight and landed on some plain. I felt the ground tremble and I heard the ground explode, a gush of wind breezed away from me. I slowly opened my eyes and they widened when I saw that I was alive. I checked my legs and they weren't broken, I could move them perfectly fine.

'This attire must have absorbed it.'

I looked around and I was standing in a huge ditch I created by landing here. I climbed out of the ditch and looked around the environment. I was surrounded by distant mountains and I was standing on some kind of plain with grass that was about uo to my calves.

"Okay what am I supposed to do?" I asked to myself

Then the ground trembled and I looked behind me and I saw a whole army of what looked like humans approaching me.

'Oh shit.'

They all yelled at me and I saw humans on horses charging at me with swords, spears, hammers, bows and arrows.

'They look like Mongols.'

The cries became louder and I didn't know what to do, I was scared that I might get trampled over by the horses. So what did I do? I ran. I turned around and ran away in fear from the incoming Mongols. I looked behind me and I saw a whole bunch of Mongols fire their arrows at me and it looked like the sky was raining arrows. I ducked down and put on my hood and covered my head with my hands. I felt light bumps on my back and when it stopped I looked up and the ground around me was covered in arrows.

'The cloak worked.'

But the Mongols were still charging at me so I had an idea and pressed the button on my forearm and I became invisible. The Mongols looked confused but they just kept coming straight at me with no hesitation.

'Fuck fuck fuck how do I use the augmentation?'

The Mongols were now right on top of me and I was run over by a stampede of horses. I screamed in fear and tried protecting myself with my arms but the shouts and cries cut off, the sound of horses charging at me are gone. I looked around and saw that I was back in the solar panel room.

"Fuck." I sighed

"Well, that was a show you put on for us." I heard a voice come in the room

"Sorry but you didn't explain to me how to use augmentation, do I have to like summoning things or know what particles I have to use?" I asked

"No you use your guts." replied Kishimoto, "And your mind."

I groaned in frustration but once I groaned I fell into the earth again. Same shit I landed in the same place with the mongol army behind me.

"They really need to fix their introduction." I said

The Mongols charged at me so I closed my eyes and concentrated.

'Okay okay, come on concentrate.'

I didn't feel anything so I just opened my eyes and got trampled again and I was back in the room again.

"How the hell am I supposed to do this?!" I yelled

They don't answer and just send me back, same intro same shit. I died like 20 times, well technically not dying but got trampled over.

"Enough, break." said Lydia

I sighed and rubbed my eyes in frustration.

"You guys didn't even tell me the basics of actually augmenting." I said

"Kishimoto told you already, think, concentrate, use your fucking guts. Augmentation wasn't supposed to be injected, it's supposed to in you when you're born or when you're the last." snapped Lydia

"Hey I didn't want to be the "chosen one" I'm sorry I'm not like the other Ryus you met." I apologized, "Give me one more try I think I got it."

She sent me again just as I wanted, and I stood in front of the mongol army.

"Okay you got this." I encouraged myself

I closed my eyes and started forcing my gut and my mind to think, for something to spark inside of me. Once I started to get the hang of it I realized something.

'What am I supposed to think about? What am I supposed to force my gut to think?'

I got trampled again and now I'm back in the room, again.

"Enough, you just don't seem to get it. Augmentation can't be taught. It's an instinct in you." said Lydia

I sighed and nodded and left the room. Lydia and Kishimoto also left their room, Lydia looked pretty disappointed while Kishimoto just smiled and chuckled.

"Get some rest, we're doing this again tomorrow." said Kishimoto

I nodded and went to my room to get some rest and I was about to jump onto my bed but I realized something.

'Wait how do you take off this armor?'
