Ch. 10 The Mugen Train Part 1: Meeting Rengoku

(Flashback)

On the Rooftop of the Butterfly mansion, Shinobu explains to Tanjiro why she is always in a constant state of anger and Hope He and His Sister can make her dream come true. Right after she was about to leave Tanjiro asked something

"Miss Shinobu is Power related to you in some way?"

"Maybe I don't know that myself but I know that he mastered my breathing techniques so you can say we are related that way," Shinobu said.

"Well, I asked this because He gives off the same anger scent you do but at a greater degree even though he is happy most of the time," Tanjiro said.

Shinobu think for a bit before replying

"Tanjiro Since I trust you with my dream I am trusting you with this information because only I, Kanao, Aoi, The Master, and others hashira know about this," Shinobu replied.

Tanjiro nodded seriously.

Shinobu says to Tanjiro about Power and an alternative timeline where they failed to kill Muzan, The other Shinobu die without killing the demon that took her sister and forced Power to merge with her seeing this version of Power that has anger inside him that might be greater than her own.

"Is that why he looks so much like you?" Tanjiro asked.

Shinobu nodded.

"Please watch him for me Don't let him get control by his anger okay," Shinobu said as she left the Rooftop.

'Don't worry Miss Shinobu I will make sure he doesn't lose himself,' Tanjiro thought.

Present Day,

I make my way to the station after almost wanting to kill that annoying bird, I see Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu running from people. they said to get on the train as the train was moving, now figure out what going on me and the boys jumped on the back of the train losing the people chasing the trio. Tanjiro give me a ticket saying that he brought an extra ticket for the other demon slayer that was me since I was going to be late, sorry. On the train, Inosuke being himself is causing a ruckus, Zenitsu asked Tanjiro about Kyojuro and Tanjiro describes him as someone with flashy hair. I asked him if the Flame Hashira is on the train and he replied yes. We go further on the train hearing someone saying delicious a lot, That person was no other than the flame Hashira himself Kyojuro Rengoku(Lv69).

"Ah, you're the kid from that day at the master's-," Rengoku was cut off from Tanjiro saying "Yes, I'm Tanjiro Kamado, and they are my fellow Demon Slayers, Zenitsu Agatsuma, Inosuke Hashibira, and -,"

"Power Kocho, little brother to Shinobu the Insect Hashira, Given the nickname Fire Insect by the Master," Rengoku replied.

"First, You know who I am? Second, I'm not sure how should I feel given the last name Kocho and being called the little brother of Shinobu," Power said.

"Wait Your sister is Miss Shinobu damn if only you were a girl," Zenitsu replied as he cries, I gave him a weird look.

"Have a seat here," Rengoku said, patting the seat next to him

I and Tanjiro sit down near Rengoku, Inosuke and Zenitsu sit down on the other side.

"What are you four doing here? it is a mission?" Rengoku asked.

"We got an order from the crow saying "the casualties of the Mugen train are increasing join Rengoku on site," I responded.

"I see now! understood!"

"Mister Rengoku, here is one thing, something I wanted to ask you," Tanjiro asked.

"What is it,"

"It's about my father,"

"What about your father?"

Tanjiro explained about his father being a sick man but even when it was cold enough to freeze his lungs, he can perform a kagura dance in the snow.

He also asked Him does he know about this Hinokami Kagura thing and he replied No but maybe he can find something back home. The conductor appeared to confirm passengers' tickets, Tanjiro had a weird expression looking at the conductor. My danger sense goes off but it was too late as he punches holes in our tickets and we fall asleep.

Waking up I see that I'm in my mindscape not knowing why I am here. I got up and turned around to see a woman with long straight black hair, two butterfly hairpins on each side of her hair, her eyes are light violet, She wears a demon slayer uniform wearing the same haori as Shinobu. Wait a minute can this woman be Kanae(Lv68), Shinobu's older sister why Is she here.

"Excuse me but by any chance, your name is Kanae?" I asked.

She does not reply instead she unsheathed her blade ready to fight.

Oh, she was to fight me for some reason, I think she wants to test me so I summon my keyblade also ready to fight.

"I will show you I have what it takes to kill that bastard Doma," I said as we clash with blades.
