Eric Williams who was currently sitting on the couch did not even pay attention to what was going on in the news. His eyes started at the long list of text appearing in his field of vision.

[INITIALIZING SYSTEM....]

[Attribute System has been activated]

[Host can now collect attributes from the environment]

'What? A system?'

Eric then looked at the tv screen, listening to the news. 'Is this for real?'

He couldn't deny the absurdity of events that were happening to him right now. Not only was the planet that was his home since birth facing a Mana Awakening, but he also got a system. Though Eric was a transmigrator, he had still been living in this world for a long time, and thus almost forgot about Earth.

When he initially arrived, he hoped that he would receive some golden finger as all other transmigrators do; however, after the years he had lost all hope. Looking at the information in the news, it seems that connection with the galactic network was blocked and nobody could leave the planet either.

Over the years that he had lived here, he had gained a lot of information about this world. Firstly, it was one of the millions of colonized planets by the Mage Federation. The Mage Federation ruled the entire universe. Their existence is both ethereal and mighty. To join, one such organization, the only requirement is to have a magic root.

However, this magic root is not something that anybody could be born with. The primary requirement was to be born on a Planet that had awakened Mana. Unfortunately, the number of such planets was pitifully low. There was only a record of around 80,000 planets that had awakened Mana in the entire Universe. This number might seem like a lot, but considering the billions of habitable planets, it was almost minuscule in comparison.

These were all common knowledge passed down by the Mage Federation. Considering all this, it can be understood why Eric was so shocked. Being one of the primary individuals to have been born on a planet that is awakening Mana, is of huge benefit to the people living in it. However, it was also akin to an apocalyptic disaster.

While not much information was found regarding this topic. But, planets that are in the ongoing process of Awakening is shielded by the Will of the Universe. Blocking any from either leaving or entering. Not only so, but catastrophic changes also happens to the planet's environment and ecosystem during this event. Often leaving more than 99.99999% of the planet's population dead. However, the lucky few who survive, gain unimaginable strength.

As Eric looked outside the window, he could see the endless fog of darkness covering the entire sky. The Mana Awakening process often lasts between a year to a decade. Thinking of the horrible things to come, Eric felt a deep chill in his spine. Right now, he had only one thought running in his mind.
