Chapter 13 ： Regarding her father's choice

On the ground in the distance, the flames were still tearing at the scattered bodies of the airship swarm.

The giant airship in the opposite looked like an arrogant, bloodthirsty killer with its head held high. The arrogance of contempt for life coupled with absolute crushing power made this giant airship even taller and more terrifying in the night.

"What if I don't want to?" Merry went on asking.

"The chairman said, if you do not want to go home, we will provide you with all the facilities for you to go anywhere you want to go." the robot butler said, "But, he has to come back with us." the robot butler said and pointed to Dao next to her.

"Don't ever think about it, no one will take Dao away from me," Merry said.

Merry talked to the robot butler while already sending a message to Cici on the Newton through the contact system on her suit. Merry decided to take a gamble, in fact, she had a 90% chance of winning - despite her father's ruthlessness, despite the fact that he was not the same gentle father as before, but Merry was convinced that her father would not kill her.

In the battle against the airship swarm, her father had won easily, but in the battle between the father and daughter, he could never win easily as long as he was still acting as a father.

Merry turned around and was to take Dao away, the robot butler behind suddenly said, "Miss Merry, it is all about your mother, the chairman wants you to take him back."

Merry hesitated, her father loved her mother so much that he would not use her mother to coax her...

About mother... these words instantly broke down all of Merry's defenses, and her body couldn't stop shivering, just like a newborn lamb that suddenly lost its mother's shelter, shivering in the cold wind.

"That airship was sent by Merry's father." Cici said.

The others instantly grasped that this was not the script of a powerful overbearing father rescuing his daughter in distress; rather, as it stood, Merry's father was probably the most threatening of all the powers fighting for Dao.

"Merry told us to be ready to speed up our escape and to fly away quickly as soon as she and Dao got on the airship..."

"She got on that airship."

Cici was still chattering about deploying Merry's plan when Jason suddenly said coldly.

Cici looked back to the cabin in disbelief, it was true, Merry took Dao, both had already boarded the giant airship.

After all three figures disappeared into the light, the giant airship slowly closed the hatch and then receded backward, gradually fading into the mist and disappearing into the darkness, leaving the Newton, and the others on the Newton, standing like deer in the headlights.
