Vincent looked towards the Instructors they knew for the last 3 years and taught them a lot of things. He was grateful for that. That's why he was now saluting, with his hand upon his hearts, doing the last salute he will give to these awesome backbones of Humanity.
"For you, Trainees graduating today, three paths now open before you."
"You can be stationed at the walls and defend the cities as members of the Garrison!"
"Or you can put your lives on the line to fight the Titans in their own Territory as members of the Survey Corps!"
"Or you can serve the King by controlling the crowds and protecting order as members of the Military Police Brigade!"
"Of course, only the ten people with top scores we announced earlier are allowed into the Military Police"

Sitting by his side is Annie and Christa, accompanied by Ymir.

"I'm joining the Survey Corps"
Vincent looked up and saw Christa, the one that said will join the Survey Corps...

"We can't defeat them using sheer numbers. We may have lost, but the knowledge we obtained from those battles is our guiding beacon of hope."
"Yet you'd discard the tactical progress bought by hundreds of thousands of sacrifices, just to save yourself up on a silver platter?"

Vincent sighed and looked around, seeing them with ashamed looks on their faces.
'This is the truth. Titans are powerful, but I'm not exactly normal either. I have a power, but with only that, I can't possibly kill all of them'

"Christa, are you still joining the Survey Corps, knowing you will be eaten someday"

"Yeah, everyone in the 104th Military Trainees will be sad for your death. Such a cute thing died in the stomach of a Titan, they will practically be going crazy if they heard that their Goddess died"
Christa blush as Vincent called her cute and thought...

Walking out the bar and waving goodbyes with everyone.
But, Annie is the only one who didn't leave.

Annie stayed silent and just looked down at the ground.
"Let's go, where do you guys rest?"
Vincent said that and began to urge Annie.
Then, Annie spoke...
"Vincent... do you hate me?"
Vincent stops walking and looks towards Annie.
"Why would I hate you?"
"I did many horrible things... I sure if you know, will hate me"
Vincent looks up at the sky and continues walking, but stops on the bridge...
Annie followed him, hands clutched on her shirt, trembling...
"Annie look at me"
"I can't... I'm afraid"
Vincent looks at the trembling Annie and holds her hands...
"Annie, look at me"
Annie looks up and meets Vincent who's smiling down at her...
"Annie, I have known you enough on this 3 years of stay in Military Training Camp"
"You're not a person who will do such things. You're a lazy person in a sense that you only bring all you got when Training and sparring with me"
"You don't like troublesome things, and like to stay away from them. Even though I didn't know your past enough or know Annie in the past or knew what you did. But, I only knew one thing, and it is the Annie in the present"
"The Annie who likes to hit me in the face, to get revenge on everything I do when we're training. The Annie who hates Jean and Eren's Idiotic way of thinking. The Annie who sparred with me almost every day."
"Annie, if you ever feel telling all the things you want to say to everyone. Or even the whole world. Just like what I said before, just come and find me"
"If you get forced to do something, just come and find me, and... I will save you"
Annie's eyes couldn't help but tear up, as she heard what Vincent had said.
Vincent saw Annie crying and couldn't help but pulled her on his chest. Stroking her back to comfort her.
Annie couldn't hell but hugged him, and cried on his chest.
"And lastly… The Annie I knew, is the best"

"Vincent! Where are you"
Connie and Jean were walking on the street. Searching for Vincent who went missing.
"Haaa! Vincent where are you!!!!!"
Connie screamed loudly. Which disturbed the people living.
"Boya, it's night time. Stop screaming!"
"Sorry..."
Jean, at the back, was happy watching Connie get scolded by a grandma.
"What's with the Deal with that Old Woman. She started ranting and slapping with her wooden stick. I just only scream once"
Connie was annoyed, so he declared...
"The first thing I will do when I join the Military Police is, I will tell that Old Woman to Push Up 50 times in front of me, nonstop.

"Jean, are you considering what Eren had said-"
"Hey! Don't bring that guy here in our conversation. Whenever I remember his face, I got pissed off"
Jean was annoyed, he then looked at the bridge across him and saw two people hugging each other...

They sneakily walked closer and saw who Vincent was hugging. Unexpectedly, it is Annie...
They knew Vincent fully well, and they knew that Vincent and Annie were only practiced, partners. Even though they teased him sometimes, Vincent only brushed they're teasing so they stopped doing it entirely.
But Unexpectedly, they saw this scene…
