Right after, the armored titan charged at Eren.

Calm down
I have to calm down. Eren kept telling himself.
He couldn't let his emotions overwhelm him if he was to defeat the armored titan. The seething rage inside of Eren was like a volcano, going to erupt any moment.
But this was a life and death battle, emotions and feelings alone could not bring him victory.
The scenes from his first expedition beyond the walls emerged in his mind.
The sad and angry expressions of the soldiers, who charged with reckless abandon towards the titans to take revenge for the loss of their friends - many of them ended up joining them.
Being too emotional would cloud his judgment. His experience with the survey corps had taught him that.
The initial panic and anger in his eyes subsided.
His eyes became calm again as composure returned to him.
Eren swung both his blades to his left side and gripped them tightly.

His figure flew right past the charging armored titan's legs.
KACHA

Broken steel pieces sprinkled disorderly across the air all around it, alongside the breaking sound of the blades.
"!!!"
Eren quickly changed directions, trying to widen the distance between him and the armored titan, firing his grappling hooks to the nearest tower behind his shoulder.
He was sure he had slashed at the legs of the titan, even the ultrahard steel blades couldn't break through it?
Wouldn't that mean the whole body of the titan was impenetrable? How was he supposed to defeat it that way?
THUMP THUMP
The armored titan had already turned around and was charging now at Eren again.
"Even the reaction speed is insane! I was definitely traveling at maximum speed then."
"The moment I failed to slash his ankles, he actually took only about a second to respond!" Eren couldn't hide his shock as he quickly shot his grappling hooks towards another building.

CRASHHH
Another house had just collapsed due to the armored titan, its rubble flying everywhere.
A cloud of dust caused by the destruction spread itself out like a concentric circle, tainting all the objects that came into contact with it grey and black.
Eren had just dodged the armoured titan's charge by a hair's breadth … or more accurately his tackle.
The armored titan actually used the momentum of the charge to propel himself forward faster before lunging at him.
It was clear he intended to crush Eren to death by not giving him enough time to get away. He would have died if he had been any slower in evading it.
Eren knew he couldn't keep up a prolonged fight.
Moving at 7x speed consumed a lot more gas than usual. But against the armored titan, he was forced to do so.
His reaction, movement, and grabbing speed were totally at levels, unlike any titans Eren had come across.
The deviants he met before were not even near this titan's level. There was no way he could survive a 1 versus 1 encounter with him using his normal speed.
"What a monster … but I don't believe your whole body is impenetrable!" Eren thought as he changed his blade in an instant.
SHINNNGG
His eyes glared intensely at the armored titan. He swore to get his revenge.
The scene of his mother being eaten by the smiling titan played again before his mind.
"Eren, did you have your dinner yet?"
"Eren, your ears are red, you just lied right? Mikasa helped you."
"Goodnight ... Eren."
It's all your fault. If only you never appeared.

His figure shot towards the nape of the armored titan at an incredible pace.
"DIE!" Eren shouted through his gritted teeth beneath his bitter and determined expression, swinging his blades ferociously.
[Quintuple Strike]
5 radiant blows appeared in front of him, heading towards the titan's nape.
KACHA
KACHA
The sound of blades breaking could be heard once again.
Along with his hopes.
"Im...possible …!" Despair and shock emerged on Eren's face before he quickly recovered and flew away. Barely dodging the grabbing motion from the armored titan.

Erwin had taken the bulk of his forces with him on the current expedition.
Only Eren and his squad were left behind in Trost as they had just completed four mapping missions in a row, he wanted to give them a break.
"Titans have invaded Trost?" Erwin reacted , appearing stunned by the news.
"Yes commander, it has already been an hour since then." A garrison soldier replied, trying to catch gasps of air where he could, flanked by 4 other elite garrison soldiers that had been responsible for ensuring his safety from the titans.
They had rushed over without even catching a break to relay the shocking news.
The messenger was thankful that he was able to pass the message to Commander Erwin so quickly.
From what he heard, based on the time the Survey Corps were supposed to leave Trost , it should have taken him 3 hours even at full speed to catch up with them.
It seemed for some reason , the Survey Corps had left Trost much later than expected , and apparently they faced some obstacles in their advance, slowing them down .
Therefore they were not too far from Trost, and he was able to make contact with them much earlier than expected.
The urgency of the message was clear.
"Not good, that means the armored titan is probably going to appear there as well! We have to return to Trost. Pass the orders down, we are heading there at full speed!" Erwin commanded as he pulled at his horse and galloped in the opposite direction.
This was really bad. There was no way the garrison soldiers could stop them, the few elites they had were only enough to delay and hold strategic locations for a while.
He could only hope he would make it in time.
If Wall Rose fell, the consequences would be catastrophic.

CRASH CRASH CRASH
The sound of more buildings collapsing could be heard again. The armored titan was like a Harbringer of Destruction, leaving only a trail of wreckage and damaged landscape in its wake.
Eren was simply flabbergasted. How could such an invincible titan exist?
He had tried slashing at the armored titan's ankles, hand, nape, even the wrists, and waist.
The outcome was the same, the blades all broke, they couldn't pierce through!
Not only that, every attempt was getting more and more dangerous.
It seemed the armored titan was getting better and better at predicting the routes Eren would pass through whenever he attacked.
In his most recent attempt, he could even feel the titan's fingers brushing against a few strands of his hair.
"HUFF. I can't keep this up, it's now or never. I'll go for the eyes. That's the only option left. I don't know if that might work." Eren changed his blades as he begun another attack.
His body appeared right in front of the titan's eyes, and at that instant, he threw his blades.
SPLAT SPLAT
Blood sprayed out from the armored titan's eyes in all directions, dyeing Eren's uniform with patches of red all over.
Releasing the blades from his controller grip, Eren quickly retreated.
He intended to leave them in the titan's eye to delay the regeneration for as long as possible.
The armored titan fell to the ground, cuddling up.
"He is buying time for his eyes to recover safely? I have to think of a way to take him down before then!" Beads of sweat were forming on Eren's forehead as his mind zipped from one thought to another.
Once the titan's eyes had recovered, it was going to be difficult to repeat what he just did.
This being was too intelligent, if not for its size, Eren would really think he was fighting against a human, not a titan.

Meanwhile, inside the armored titan, Reiner's jaw was about to drop , he couldn't believe what was happening.
He had never struggled against a human being so much in his life before! Even the elite garrison rear guard was taken out by him so easily.
Yet after so long he still couldn't even kill one person. And his eyesight had just been disabled by that pesky little bug.
Flash Blade:Eren … no Eren Yeager. This person is dangerous. He had to eliminate him right here and now.
He had always thought Levi of the Survey Corps was the only one he had to be wary of, based on the intelligence Annie gathered.
It seemed like it was time to add another person to the list.
Eh?
Something is wrong, why are there so many thumping sounds getting louder and louder around him?
