5 minutes before missile launch

Eren's POV

"Captain I got something!" yelled Sasha

We were at the bottom of mount Elbrus and we've been looking for about an hour until Sasha found something.

"Tracks of what looks like a vehicle." said Sasha as she examined it

Levi nods at us and we follow the tracks but we kept our eyes opened for anything. That's when I saw something in the snowy ground.

"Sir I think I found something." I said

I approached the thing and saw that it was a body. The snow around it was bloody and I kicked the body and it he was dead. I flipped him around and Mike examined him.

"Someone slit his neck." said Mike

"Wait but who is this guy?" asked Armin

"I don't recognize this uniform." said Annie

"It's definitely not Russian." examined Mike

I suddenly felt the ground shake and we all started scanning the forest around with our guns pointed. But the. I heard something roar in the air and I looked up and I gasped. I saw multiple missiles in the air going in multiple directions throughout the night sky.

"What the fuck is that?!" yelled Jean

"Captain Levi to command! We have multiple missiles in the air, be advised over!" said Levi through his earpiece.

"Copy that." replied command

"Move to the launch site!" he yelled

Recon's POV

"Anything?" I asked the squad leader in Russian

"Nothing he just dead." he replied

"You can't ID him?" I asked

He shook his head and I sighed. I looked around the dark forest but we were in an opening so I looked up at the sky.

'Beautiful night for all of you to die.'

The ground began to shake and all of my soldiers were scared and confused.

"Calm down!" I yelled

That's when I heard something that literally scared me. A roar, I looked up and my eyes went wide. I saw what looked like an army of missiles being launched in the air.

"This is commander Recon, we have at least a hundred missiles in the air, be advised, this is not a drill!" I yelled into my earpiece

"Get to that launch site now!" I yelled

Kit's POV

I examined the body and shook my head.

"He's dead but I can't tell what he is. I don't recognize this uniform nor is there any ID." I said

Everyone sighed until I felt the ground shake.

"Earthquake?" asked Bomber

"No..." whispered Phantom

She looked terrified until I heard a roar in the sky and I turned around and dropped my gun. There were at least hundred of missiles in the air.

"Ajax what have you done?" asked Phantom

"Move get to the launch site!" yelled Marksman

We ran towards the launch site until we got to a fence that was completely destroyed. We crossed it but there was a mine field so Marksman shot one and it started a chain reaction.

"Fire in the distance!" yelled Javelin

"AJAX!" yelled Phantom

We all started calling out his name, Phantom got off of Juggernaut and kept calling out his name in fear until we got to an opening and we saw a scary sight. A burning factory that was still exploding and burning.

"Colonel!" yelled Bomber

I looked up the hill and saw someone standing on top of a hill so we all climbed up the hill and approached him. I was about to hug him but I stopped midway. He was looking up at the sky with tears coming out of his eyes. He was bloody and his face was badly messed up. He was so bloody that the snow around him was covered in blood.

"Did he do all this?" asked Hacker

I looked back at the factory and I noticed multiple dead bodies out in the front entrance.

"Ajax?" called out Emily

Ghost's POV

I opened my eyes and looked to my left and saw my team standing there, eyes filled with confusion and fear. I then heard multiple footsteps to the right of me.

"Ghost team stand down!" yelled a familiar voice

"Colonel you're alive?" asked another voice

I turned my head and saw Scout team 104 behind me. I heard more footsteps behind me and Russian voices.

"Stand the fuck down now!" yelled a female voice I knew

I turned my head and saw Tessa with her group of Russian soldiers. Everyone was pointing their guns at each other not knowing who to shoot. The snow kept falling, mixed with the ashes of the fire.

"Ghost I'm surprised to see that you're alive but it ends here." said Tessa

I turned around and looked at her.

"Go ahead." I said

Tessa raises and eyebrow and my team points their guns at her but I raise my arm at them.

"Colonel?" asked Marksman

"Go ahead Tessa kill me." I said, "I figured out everything and now I'm done."

"Figured our what?" she asked

"Who Demon was, what those symbols meant, why my parents died." I said

"Who was Demon?" she asked

"Timothy Anderson, the 46th President of the United States of America." I replied

I could see everyone look at each other with confusion.

"How do you expect me to believe you?" she asked

"My parents were killed because they learned what he was doing and tried to stop it but was killed." I replied

"That doesn't prove anything." she said

"Why do you think the people who killed my parents were never found. Because he erased their case so they don't find anything suspicious that'll cause him to lose his plans." I replied

"Still not enough." she replied

I smiled and started laughing and crying at the same time. I pulled out my pistol alerting everyone but Tessa raises and arm.

"I couldn't save the world Tessa, I couldn't." I said, "If it's execution I'll just do it myself."

I point the gun at my head and everyone starts yelling.

"Colonel don't do it please!"

"Ajax stop it please don't leave me!"

"Sir no!"

"ENOUGH!" I yelled, "Not satisfied Tessa, here then you do it."

I toss my pistol at her feet and spread out my arms.

"You can kill me right here." I said

She picks up the gun and my entire team starts aiming their weapons at her.

"Ghost team drop them." I snapped

"Colonel-"

"I SAID DROP IT!" I yelled

They hesitated and lowered their gun. Tessa looks at the gun in her hands but shakes her head.

"Why can't you do it, you'll be considered a hero in Russia!" I yelled

She approaches me and stands in front of me and hands me the gun.

"I can't I'm sorry, you are in the right, I was in the wrong this time." she said

I punched her face so hard that her mask broke off and she falls to the ground.

"You were in the wrong this time, were you not in the wrong when you killed my team, no not my team your team?!" I yelled at her

She flinched a bit and avoids eye contact with me.

"Huh?! Were you in the right when you beheaded my men?! Were you in the right when you tortured my team just recently huh?!"

"I'm sorry what the fuck do you want me to do?! I did what I was taught?!" she yelled as she got up

"But you had an option to not do it!" I yelled back

She looks down and clenches her fist.

"I'm so, sorry Ajax." she whispered

I stay silent.

"I know a sorry won't be enough to atone for my sins. But I truly am sorry." she replied

"If you're truly sorry, then end my life."

I get down on my knees and start crying.

"I can't take this anymore. You were right, one of us has to die and that's me I fucked up, I couldn't save the world and now the entire world is going to turn into titans because I was too late!" I cried

Tessa looks at me with wide eyes and pity. Emily comes towards me and hugs me as I cry into her shoulder.

"It's not your fault." she whispered to me

Tessa walks away and looks at the factory. She orders her platoon to take out the fire so they rush down there and towards the factory.

"Ajax, please." said Tessa

She lends me a hand and I look at it with confusion.

"I need you in this. I can't do this alone. The world needs you to save them." she said

I slowly take it and she helps me up and I help up Phantom.

"Did you do all this?" asked Phantom

I nodded.

"Explain." said Tessa

The others gathered around me, Kit checked up my wounds and applied some bandages while Tessa called in for reinforcements. I sat down on a log while the others sat with me or stood up.

"Colonel how did you survive the fall?" asked Armin

"I had the grappling hook on my wrist." I replied

Ghost team all shook their heads in disappointment.

"Are you guys okay?" I asked my team

They all nodded so I sighed in relief.

"Our kids?" asked Ghost

"They're in Eldia, Queen Historia is watching over them." said Tessa, "I've warned other countries about this so they should be on alert."

I nodded and continued my story.

"Anyways. The rebels took me in and I was trying to find Demon but I couldn't. So I went to a bar and I was watching the news and Michael Langston came up and four men in the bar with me were like what do you think our boss is going to do with him. So I followed them and interrogated them and apparently they're the ones who give him the money." I said

"You got lucky there." said Levi

"I did." I replied, "They gave me the address of their boss but apparently their boss is the servant of Demon, Patrick Hail. Turns out he doesn't even know his boss' name. But he did hear the code name. He even told me that he was a multi billionaire who has a house in every country. But then a man who was sent by Demon tried to kill Patrick Hail so I saved him. And he told me about a main household somewhere here. So I went hiking found this place and killed everyone in there."

"Everyone? Even the scientists?" asked Hange

"You might think the scientists were innocent but they weren't. One lab room and a bunch of children all cut open and dissected." I replied

Everyone shook their heads in disbelief and I continued.

"They had a bunch of soldiers who were just like Recon same powers and same armor. But the only difference is that if your shoot Tessa in the head she dies right?"

She nods in response.

"But the ones I faced don't. I even decapitated one but he just grew his head back. So I hit the nape and that's their weak point like a titan. Fucking idiots could have killed me easily if they used guns." I said

"So Demon was Mr Anderson?" asked Phantom

"Yes, he told me everything. He said that the symbols meant what they meant. Every mutant was a soldier who were MIA and were found." I said

"Mutants?" asked Eren

"That's what Mr Anderson called people like Tessa." I replied

"So you killed Mr Anderson?" asked Tessa

"Yes but he was fast, he was also a mutant. Old but fast. Took me a while to kill him." I said

"Then the missiles?" asked Hacker

"Each missile has multiple missiles in it filled with gas that can turn humans into titans." I replied

"World apocalypse." whispered Jean

"Crazy brat." growled Levi

"I couldn't shut down the missiles. I had to manually shut them down one my one." I said

"Which countries did you shut down?" asked Moblit

"I saved Eldia completely, barely America. And I saved at least one country in every continent. But other than that, it's over."

Even though I saved the country of Scout team they seemed very uncomfortable by the fact that the entire world was now turning into a titan.

A Russian soldier calls our for Tessa as they were able to extinguish the first floor. Tessa looks up and nods as he yells something.

"Looks like you forgot one part of the factory, there's a basement." I replied

I get up and head over back inside. Russians had secure most of the factories and were cleaning up bodies.

"How many casualties?" asked Phantom

"My solider counted 280 so far." replied Recon

"You killed 280 people?" asked Hange

I just nod in response and continued my way towards the basement. We were lead to another elevator shaft that was pretty big. Even when 20 people entered the shaft there was still enough space for 20 more.

"How did you miss such a big shaft?" asked Recon

"It was covered with a wall so I probably didn't see it." I replied

We descended for about 5 minutes until the elevator door shaft stopped and there was nothing. We were just surrounded by walls, until one of the walls began to open and a siren came on. Everyone began to raise their weapons just in case of something but when the walls opened my eyes widened.

"What the hell am I looking at?" whispered Levi

There were multiple pods with naked people inside with only their underwear on. The pods were filled with water and people who had airfit face masks on with tubes connected to gas tanks. They were all floating in the water and sleeping.

"Get them all out now!" yelled Hange

Some Russian troops began playing with the device and the pods opened releasing all the water and the people inside began to fall on the ground. They were still alive and began to gain consciousness. We were busy releasing people, telling them to calm down and giving them some info. Russian reinforcements came down the shaft and began helping us. The basement was huge, it wasn't like 30 pods. There was more pods below us, at least 10 levels of pods.

That's when I saw a commotion and some Russian soldiers were trying to restrain one man who was fighting them off so I got in and pushed kicked him down. I pulled out my gun and point it at him.

"Stay down, we're here to help you." I said

He looks up at me but then I dropped my gun. I couldn't believe my eyes as to who was standing there. The man looks confused and grabs my gun and points it at me. The others pointed their guns at me but Ghost team immediately started telling everyone to lower their guns. Kit was crying and Recon was standing there as a tear rolled down her eyes.
