3 CHAPTER - 3 { Training Period Part-1 }

Training Camp___

This was a huge field, many houses were built around corners.

In the middle of this huge field, hundreds of new cadets formed many lines.

Keith Sadies, the commandant of the 104th Cadet Corps, was psychologically breaking down the new cadets as a rite of passage to break them down so they can rebuild them as soldiers.

As an officer and his attendant pass by, they notice Sadies does not subject a few cadets to this abuse.

The officer simply notes that their expressions distinguish them from the rest of the group as being present to the fall of Wall Maria two years earlier.

Among them was the boy, now a young man, who has grown taller and stronger than before.

At the age of 14, he was 170 meters tall with slightly long hair which reached to the tip of his nose from the front.

He was definitely one of the tallest among all the cadets in the entire field.

His black eyes with unnoticeable white lines observed the other cadets around him. Most of the cadets were excited and some were tense.

Only a few were composed like him.

As the commandant continued to go down the line, he noticed a girl eating an already boiled potato.

Everyone was stunned by the girl's action of eating potato right in front of the commandant.

"Hey you, what are you doing!?"

The commandant asked with a serious expression on his face but the girl continued to eat the potato.

"You! I am asking you! What are you doing!"

Seeing her reaction, the commandant came to her and shouted out loudly. The girl was sweating buckets but her face was firm.

"Sasha Braus, from Dauper village, Wall Rose South District!"

Sasha Braus moved her right hand to her left chest and answered the commandant.

"Sasha Braus, what is that in your right hand?"

"A boiled potato. The kitchen had a fresh batch, and I couldn't resist."

The commandant stared down at Sasha as he listened to her words.

"Did you steal it? Why? Why would you choose to eat a potato now?"

"Letting it get cold would have been a waste, so I decided to eat it now."

The commandant was confused, so he asked her once again.

"No, I understand that but… Why would you eat a potato?"

Behind, the young man closed his eyes as he already saw what was soon going to happen.

"Sometimes I wonder, why can I see the future? To change it? Or to just be a side character and do nothing."

He murmured, thankfully no one was paying him any attention. Almost everyone was concentrating on the girl and commandant.

"Now! Continue to run around the field until I tell you to stop!'

The commandant roared suddenly, causing Sasha and the cadets to fear him.

"Yes!"

Sasha saluted and rushed to make runs around the field while the commandant walked to see the other cadets.

Few minutes later, the Commandant told all the cadets to get rest for today as tomorrow will be the real start of the training session.

The sun was soon going to set. The young man stood up from his seat and decided to step out.

"Hey, he didn't ask where you were from, did he?"

"Shiganshina, the same as him."

He heard the voices from outside, it was very clear to him. Slowly, he stepped out of the dormitory and saw the cadets conversing.

"I see… That's why…"

"Then, weren't you there that day?"

One of the cadets, slightly short with shaved head, was excited due to the answer and asked.

"Hey!'

"Did you see the Colossal Titan?"

If he remembered it correctly, this cadet was named Conny Springer. As soon as the young man came, the group were silent.

Because the young man had an indifferent expression, but once one looked at his eyes, they would get a feeling of suffocation.

"Why did you stop? Continue."

He looked at them for a short time and said plainly. Then he stepped further towards the field to spend some free time.

"He, wasn't he also with us?"

The black haired boy asked the yellow haired one beside him as they were together for many years.

"Yes, I have seen him before. And if I am not wrong, his house was just next to the wall which was breached."

The yellow haired boy replied with a serious face as he stared at the young man's back.

"What!"

Not just the black haired boy, the other cadets were also very surprised. But the most was the one who was the tallest in this group.

He turned his head and looked towards the young man who walked away, with some fear and uneasiness.

Inside the dining house hall, multiple cadets surrounded the black haired boy.

Their faces easily showed their shock and excitement.

"I already told you that I saw it."

"Wah!"

The cadets seemed to be very impressed by the black haired boy's words.

Then all types of questions were asked by the cadets. The black haired boy was feeling very awkward by this.

The young man sat at one of the corner tables all alone as he ate his dinner.

His eyes were focused on his meal but his ears listened to their conversations.

"Colossal Titan, Armored Titan…"

Muttered the young man. Unknown to him, three cadets were secretly observing him.

One was the tall cadet from before, his name was Bertholdt Hoover. Another was a tall and muscular cadet similar in height to the young man.

His name was Reiner Braun. And the last, a female cadet with the name, Annie Leonhart.

"So he is the one."

Said Reiner in a low voice. Bertholdt nodded from the opposite side of the table.

As they secretly observed the young man who was silent the entire time in the hall, a small quarrel broke out.

It was between the black haired boy, Eren Yeager and another cadet named Jean Kirschtein.

But because the bell which was to notify them that it was time for everyone to head to their dormitory, they stopped.

It was Jean, who apologized first then Eren followed.

Everything was going the same as what the young man had seen.

"I have already tried and been successful in changing the future before. Now I just need to see what more happens."

The young man finished his meal exactly at the same time when the bell rang.

Standing up with the plate, he walked past the table where Reiner and Bertholdt were seated.

His bed was in the same dormitory as Eren but a different room from theirs.

When he reached the room, the three cadets in the same room as him were not present yet.

"There isn't much to do…"

He muttered. Lying down on his bed which was at the top on the left side of the room, he closed his eyes.

One might think that he was asleep but actually he was watching the future.

Not a single detail was not unnoticed in his eyes. He was already very proficient in controlling this unnatural power.

Going back and forth, he could watch the future not just once but countless times.

Even so, he needed to concentrate or else the scenes would shatter and he would have to wait for an entire day to use this power again.

So, half the night was used up to watch the future for a few months.

And the young man could only use half the night to sleep. But he was already used to it.
