Eren's POV

We crept through the snowy forest, scanning the area for any hostiles nearby.

"300 meters." whispered Ghost

I held onto my MP7s tightly and watched my footing just in case there was any kind of ambush. Suddenly I heard a scream in the distance and we all kneeled, prepared for anything.

"Move it." said Ghost

We moved a bit faster until we got to an open field.

"This was where the camp was." said Phantom

Ghost examined the snow and picked up our beacon signal.

"Looks like we found the source of our beacon." said Ghost

We moved further into the snowy forest. Ghost then signaled us to stop and I looked around for any kind of movement.

"What's wrong?" asked Armin

"Something's coming." whispered Ghost

He pointed at a gigantic bush covering our path and we all aimed our guns there. I waited, my finger on the trigger. After a few moments of waiting something barged out of the bush and I nearly pulled the trigger.

"Hold it!" yelled Ghost

The man who barged through the bush looked up, he had a messy beard and mustache, his face was bleeding. But once he saw us he screamed and ran away.

"After him!" yelled Ghost

We ran after him but Ghost and Phantom were too fast leaving us behind in dust so we used our ODM gear to catch up.

"Patrick!" yelled Armin

"Don't yell! He screamed before for a reason, someone must be after him." said Ghost through my earpiece.

Ghost caught up with Patrick and tackled him to the snowy ground. Patrick frantically fought back but Ghost punched him knocking him unconscious. I landed on the ground and approached Ghost and Phantom who handcuffed him.

"Let's go." said Ghost

But then out of nowhere, something hits my stomach launching me backwards. My back hit a tree and when I looked down, I was impaled by a sword. I gasped in pain but I pulled it out and my wound started healing.

"Eren!" yelled Ghost

"I'm fine!" I yelled back

Luckily the sword wasn't made out of the metal material that could kill me. I looked up and then something landed on my team and launched all of them off their feet. Ghost and Phantom land on their feet, Mikasa and Annie use their ODM gear to land on their feet but Jean and Armin crash against a tree.

Then out from the trees, two mutants jumped down and landed right next to Patrick's body. One was male while the other was female.

"Two mutants huh?" smirked Phantom

The female grabbed Patrick's unconscious body and ran off. I threw the sword at the female but the male caught it midair.

"Jean, Mikasa, Annie, Eren, Armin! After her and retrieve Patrick, we'll take care of him!" yelled Ghost

I nodded and used my ODM gear and chased after the mutant, the others close by me.

"Let's surround her!" said Armin

Mikasa and Annie use their thunder spears and fire at the ground in front of the mutant. The mutant stops running and tries to run towards her left but Jean and Armin land on the ground in front of her. She turns and runs back but I land and block her path. Annie and Mikasa took the other sides.

"Hand over Patrick." said Armin

She glared at all of us and lowered Patrick's body. She draws her sword out from her back and charges at Armin and Jean. I shot her but she merely dodged all of it and tried stabbing Armin and Jean but they both dodged it in time. Mikasa and Annie switch to their ODM gear swords and lunge towards the mutant, the mutant then draws out another sword and fights Mikasa and Annie at the same time. But she fought them with ease, she kneed Mikasa's chin and threw her to Annie and they crashed onto the ground.

'Our objective is getting Patrick.'

I ran to Patrick's body but I was met with a swift kick to the face and she then stabbed my back. I screamed in pain as she stabbed me with her other sword.

"Eren!" yelled Annie

Just before she stabbed my nape Jean came swinging in and tackled her to the ground. Jean gets up and starts lighting her up with his guns but she takes cover behind a tree. She then throws a knife at Jean but he ducked under it just in time.

I got up and grabbed Patrick's body and once I was about to swing away, the mutant threw another knife onto my ODM gear breaking it.

"Fuck." I cursed under my breath

Armin also started shooting her but then she ran towards him and knees his stomach. Armin yelped and she elbows his back and he collapses onto his back. She picks him up and then puts him in front of her and presses her sword against his throat.

"Drop it, or he dies." she hissed

"Armin!" yelled Jean

"Drop it!" yelled the mutant

She presses the sword harder against his throat causing Armin to yelp.

"Don't worry about me! Get Patrick out of here!" yelled Armin

"Armin don't say that!" yelled Mikasa

"Goddammit let him go!" I yelled

"You made your choice." she hissed

She was about to slit his throat when Jean shot his gun, hitting her forehead.

She backs up and falls to the ground. Armin runs up to us and we watch as the female mutant stands up.

"Nice shot." I told Jean

"I think we pissed her off." said Jean

"Armin are you okay?" I asked

"I'm fine." said Armin as he stood up and held up his guns.

Ghost's POV

I watched as the others went after the female mutant. The male mutant draws his other sword and points it at us.

"Get ready." I said

Phantom draws her knife and so do I. We both charged at him, each taking one of his sides. I swung my knife at him with Phantom but he blocked it with his swords.

"Let's end it." I said

Phantom nodded and we began attacking, syncing our movements. Some of our attacks were blocked, others made contact. But when I tried to do a jump push kick he stepped to the side and punched my stomach sending me flying. I landed on the ground and used my arms and flipped backwards, landing on my feet.

"This guy is good." I mumbled

I ran to him and we began swinging our weapons at each other, blocking, striking with Phantom. I kicked an incoming sword away and Phantom grabbed that arm and knees it, breaking it. He groans in pain and he jumps up and kicks Phantom's head. Phantom stumbles back so I do a 540 back kick on him, launching him back a few yards. I pick up his sword and then lunges towards him with Phantom next to me.

I began to duel him in a sword fight with Phantom as my backup. Phantom ducks under and swipes his leg off and I then step side kicked him as he fell to the ground. He immediately got up and I swung my sword at his head but he ducks under it but then Phantom went under me and kicked the mutant's chin and then I did a spinning hook kick as his head was hit by Phantom's kick.

He rolled on the snow and got back up. But then he puts his hands on his ear, as if he's listening to something. He looks up at us and slowly puts his sword away. I toss him his sword and he catches it and puts it away. He then walks away deep into the forest.

"Why did he run away?" asked Phantom

"Don't know, let's get to the others." I said

We ran towards the direction where the others left and they were standing there panting, with Patrick's body on the snow.

"You 5 okay?" I asked

"Yes sir." all of them replied

"Let's get going. They might come back with reinforcements." I said

We made our way to the rendezvous point and boarded an Osprey.

8 hours later

Eren's POV

"He's waking up." said Armin

"About time." sighed Jean

I watched as Patrick groaned and sat up on his bed. He looked around and started freaking out when he saw us and tried getting up but we had him handcuffed to the bed.

"Sir, please calm down. We're here to help you." said Armin

Patrick looked at him and the others and calmed down a bit, but I could still see fear on his face. Ghost and Phantom enter the room and approach the bed.

"Patrick, it's been long." said Ghost

Patrick seemed confused and examined Ghost.

"Have we met?" asked Patrick

"10 months ago. Before the bombing." said Ghost

Patrick seemed to slowly recognize him.

"Hey dipshit, you can't remember someone who saved you?" snapped Phantom

Patrick seemed to finally remember.

"Lieutenant Colonel Ghost?" he asked

Ghost nodded and Patrick started crying.

"Thank goodness you saved me. Those mutants were after me trying to kill me." panicked Patrick

"Why? TMO?" asked Ghost

"What's TMO?" asked Patrick

"The company you were a boss of." replied Patrick

"You're the one who started this?" I snapped

"No Eren, Patrick was the boss but he was used by Demon." said Ghost

"The people who were after me were TMO?" asked Patrick

"Yes." replied Ghost

He nodded and Armin handed him a cup of water and he chugs it down in an instant.

"I killed your boss, Demon." I said

Patrick looked confused.

"You killed him? How? Then why are they still after me?" asked Patrick

"Look Patrick, you said you were a scientist. So I need you to help us." said Ghost

"With?" asked Patrick

"Armin, Eren, Jean show him." said Ghost

He nods to Patrick and he turns and leaves with Phantom. Armin helps Patrick stand up and we lead him to Hange's lab room. He enters and Hange's there with a bunch of other scientists.

"Hange, this is Patrick. He's also a scientist and boss of TMO." said Armin

Once Hange heard that she glared at him.

"Wait, Hange he was used. He wasn't really the boss." said Jean

Hange relaxed and nodded.

'Moblit must have been a huge part of her.'

"Anyways we have a titan contained, follow us." said Hange

We followed Hange to an overlook room with a titan on the other side of the window at the bottom in another room.

"We're trying to find a cure for them." said Hange

Patrick examined the titan and looked over the notes.

"Okay, I'll help. Even though I didn't really work with any of this." said Patrick

"Thank you, we appreciate every little help we can get." said Hange, "You three can leave now."

We saluted then left the room.

"Do you think we're going to be able to find the cure?" asked Eren

"Even if we do find the cure how are we going to cure every titan?" asked Armin

"We'll find a way." said Jean

"How? What if we don't?" asked Armin

"Armin, stop being negative now. If you're being negative how am I supposed to feel?" I asked

"Sorry, I just don't know what we can do at this point." said Armin

I sighed and we walked out of the building and met up with my team.

"Eren, Jean, Armin fall in." said Erwin

We took a seat and I sat next to Annie.

"We're going on another mission." said Erwin

"Another one." groaned Connie

"This one, is a very interesting one. We think we found their main headquarters." said Erwin

"I thought we already did." said Bertholdt

"I thought so too, but apparently it's not in Australia." said Erwin, "It's in China."

"China? Why China?" asked Sasha

"China is the most populated country, which means they're a lot more titans around that area." said Armin

"They're hiding behind them." said Mikasa

"Exactly, Ghost team and Scout team will infiltrate a laboratory facility in the Himalaya mountains." said Erwin, "Move out now."

"Yes sir."

We all got up and geared up. I strapped my ODM gear on and my helmet. I put on my vest and then started filling up my pockets with ammo.

"Are you all ready?" asked Levi

"Yes sir." we all replied

"Let's finish this and save the world from this damn apocalypse."
