Eren's POV

2 days later

"Today's the day." I excitedly said

"It is, but sadly we can't watch." said Armin

"I think the commanders have something for us." said Annie

She sat next to me and leaned her back against my shoulder.

"We have two options, either listen to the talk show on the radio." said Annie

Annie then paused for a while making us confused a bit.

"Or?" I asked

"Kit and Aid are doing a duet." said Annie

"Duet." we all said at the same time

Annie looked at me and smiled.

"As I expected." she said

"What songs are they singing?" I asked

"Their so called specialty." said Annie

"How do you know?" I asked

"I was talking to Kit and Aid who were setting up a piano." said Annie

"They know how to play a piano. Definitely the duet." said Sasha as she ate her potato.

"Sasha stop eating potatoes, they're high in calories." said Mikasa as she tried to snatch the potato.

Sasha nearly bit Mikasa's hand and backed up protecting her potato.

"Colonel's on a mission with his parents, they should be back soon." said Eren

"They should be, he can't miss the duet." I said

Ghost's POV

My mom flipped in the air and beheaded the last TMO mutant and stabbed his nape. I picked up my new rifle Hacker made and shot an injured TMO operator, blowing up its head.

"Nothing, I got nothing sir." said Hacker

"Tech?" I asked

"Nothing here either. It doesn't say when they're going to launch the pillar." said Tech

"There's nothing about how to make the pillar either." said Hacker

"The pillar is a sophisticated piece of technology, if we can't get it then we might be in the same position but if we are able to get our hands on another Pillar it'll help us." said Tech

I kicked my sword up from the ground and caught it, I swung the sword so the blood could come off, then I put the blade on my pronator teres which is the middle part of your arm, squeezed the blade and cleaned the blood off.

"There's a camp a few meters out from here, they probably already know that something's wrong. We strike right now." I said

Ghost team nodded and I sheath my sword.

"Ghost team will block every entrance, Captain take out their power generator so that they can't communicate at all. The rest, we go through the front entrance." I said

Everyone dispersed and Phantom, Recon, Aid and my parents stood there looking at me.

"Let's go." I said

We began to approach the camp that looked like it was just built with TMO mutants outside minding their business.

One mutant looked up and gasped as they saw us approaching. The mutant quickly blew on a whistle and every TMO mutant began to pour out of the camp towards the front entrance.

"Well, that's a lot." said Aid

We were told there were 90 men in the camp but there were 50 right now in the front entrance.

"Leave no survivors." I said

The TMO mutants all cried out and ran towards us. We all ran towards them as well and I threw my sword at one of the mutants, impaling his neck, I ran towards him, grabbed the sword and beheaded him. I spun around dodging a stab and sliced off his nape and kicked another mutant's head and my dad stabbed his nape. One mutant ran up from behind but I spun my sword around and held it in an inverted position and stabbed him and spun around and I slit his throat so I did a spinning hook kick and his head went flying.

One mutant tried stabbing me but I dodged it and disarmed him and I took his sword and began slashing at the other mutants, blood soaking my gear. My mom was struggling a bit with one mutant so I threw the other sword I had at the mutant's nape, saving my mom. She nodded and continued fighting with other mutants, I blocked one mutant's swing by holding onto his arm and stabbed another mutant who tried to stab me. I pulled out my sword and slashed the mutant I was holding onto.

Recon kicks down a mutant and stabs his nape multiple times and Phantom kills the last one as he tries to run away. I cleaned my sword again and sheathed it and threw it to Aid who clipped it onto his back. Even though I said it was my sword it was technically Aid's sword, he just let me use it for a while. There were distant gunshots near the southern part of the camp so we entered the camp and started rummaging through it as Ghost team were finishing up killing the remaining TMOs.

"Nothing sir." said Hacker

"Nothing here either." said Tech

I sighed and just shook my head.

"Let's just go home." I said

Everyone nodded in agreement and I tightened my knee cast a bit.

"You shouldn't have fought today." said Aid

"I'm fine." I said

We called the Osprey and we headed home.

Jean's POV

I sighed as I waited for Ghost team to arrive back home with Mikasa. We were alone sitting on a bench near the heliport with Mikasa next to me.

"Jean." whispered Mikasa

"Hmm?" I asked

She leaned in and kissed me right there and it caught me off guard but I kissed her back.

"Why a kiss?" I asked when she pulled back

"I just felt like it." she replied

"I see." I replied

"For the first time in my life after the day my parents were killed, I feel scared." she said, "This past year was dreadful for me."

"I know it is but we have Ghost team." I said

"But it's just a team, what can they do?" she asked

"Mikasa, you know Ghost team. Especially Lieutenant Colonel Ghost, apparently he can speak multiple languages, he can hide in plain sight, take down a country in less than an hour all by himself and you'll never ever see him coming, he can infiltrate, assassinate like he was never there. But why doesn't he do that, cause he knows it's not the right thing. Ghost can lift more than 900 pounds, can punch through a wall, resist a huge fall damage, can outrun anything going 80 miles per hour and probably more under stress and all that, you saw him doing a mile run, he finished that in less than 2 minutes." I said, "If you do the math, he can run 13 miles in just under 25 minutes. Can survive a fall as high as 80 feet, jumps as far as 30 feet. Very intelligent, knows how to outsmart people who can outsmart him. Phantom and Recon as well, they both learned every single martial art there is on the planet, they can outrun a car going 60 miles per hour and they can shoot anything with precision. Hell Phantom and Recon can break a head with one punch."

"I know that Lieutenant Colonel Ghost and the others are the best soldiers in the entire world. But something about him just makes me feel like, if there was no Ghost team there would be a bigger war." said Mikasa

"That's what I'm worried about as well." said Jean

"That's why I want to learn under Phantom." she said

"Well, we're learning from Ghost so maybe Phantom can help as well." I said

"Sasha said she wanted to learn from Marksman since he never misses. It's like as if Marksman can see the future and the actions his victim is going to take." said Mikasa

"Connie is probably going to learn from both Juggernaut and Bomber." I said

"Eren's going to stick with Ghost?" asked Mikasa

"Yea, you know what he's like." I said

"But how's Eren going to make his body as resistant as Ghost. Even though he's a shifter he feels pain but Ghost, he's a human being and it's like he has no emotions, no feelings just the urge to kill people in any way." said Mikasa, "How is that possible, it's almost like he's not human."

"I guess it's just through his intense training as a child by his father and his foster parents." I replied

"I just want to be a good soldier like those on Ghost team." said Mikasa

"Mikasa, you're a great soldier, even Ghost said you have a lot of potential. He even said maybe one day you'll be able to surpass some of the members on Ghost team." I said

"I know." said Mikasa

"I want to learn from Ghost especially after he told me trained Javelin. She's almost on the same level as Phantom and Recon." I said

Mikasa looked at me and smiled.

"You're a great soldier already." said Mikasa

"I don't think I am." I replied

I started to hear a distinct thumping noise and when I looked up I saw an osprey approaching us from the distance.

"Looks like they're here." I said

We both got up and the wind around us began to pick up as the osprey approached us. I used one arm to protect my face from the dust and other things going into my eye as the osprey landed and the tail began to open and Ghost team came out.

"Sir, Commander Erwin and the queen wants to see you." said Mikasa

Ghost nodded and Ghost team dispersed and headed to the castle but Phantom stayed behind.

"Why do I feel like you're going to ask me something." said Phantom

Mikasa looked surprised but stood still.

"Well I wanted to learn from you ma'am." she said

"Learn?" questioned Phantom

"I wanted to be your student." said Mikasa

Phantom looked surprised but nodded.

"Sure, I'll be overlooking your training from now on." said Phantom

"Oh is it okay for Annie to join us as well?" asked Mikasa

"Sure, let her know." replied Phantom

Mikasa smiled and saluted and Phantom also smiled and saluted back before leaving.

"Let's get ready for the show." I said

Mikasa nodded and I watched as the sun was setting.

"We did a survey on who wants to listen to the talk show and those who want that will be on guard duty in the underground districts. The others will continue their regular surface patrols and if they want to, they can listen to Aid and Kit." I said

Mikasa nodded and we left.

Eren's POV

I sat down on ground panting as Jean fell back next to me.

"Come on, you didn't last 5 seconds." said Ghost

I tried getting up but I fell back down in pain.

"Enough, don't hurt yourself more." said Ghost

I looked over and saw Annie and Mikasa also struggling with Phantom.

"Colonel how did you accomplish what you're doing right now?" I asked

"Training." replied Ghost

"I mean but what kind?" I asked

"Eren you've been on the field for pretty long, the answer is experience. I learn from everything that I do in the past, mistakes and the decisions I make and see if I made the right choice or not." he said

I got up and brushed myself off.

"Come on let's go, we'll miss the duet." he said

I didn't want to miss the duet so we nodded and Ghost headed over to Phantom to tell her so she nodded.

We headed over and they were getting prepared for Kit and Aid's duet. The underground district's already started the talk shows and they were closing off the underground districts.

"Okay, everything is connected to the channels on the radio. Ready on your go." said Hacker

Juggernaut pulls out a cigar and takes a hit while Bomber and Hacker take out some beer.

Kit takes a seat on the piano while Aid sits on the floor against the piano and nods towards Kit.

Kit takes a deep breath and looks up at the sky and lets it all out. He hits a key of the piano and starts playing a song but then I felt something touch my leg and I looked over and Ashely was standing there.

I was surprised but I picked her up and helped her sit on my lap and I looked over to Annie and she smiled as she was hugging Brooks. I looked around and everyone was holding onto their kids while Kit was playing the piano.

With the piano and said harmonizing, it was like a whole orchestra and I melted with the song, I felt like crying since the song made me remember the deaths of my very first squad, Thomas Wagner, Nac Tias, Mylius Zeramuski and Mina Carolina. If only they were still alive, maybe, just maybe our lives would be a bit happier with them.

Everyone was clapping and Kit sighed and relaxed his fingers before playing again.

Everyone was clapping again and Kit smiled a bit. I wanted more and to my surprise he began to play this song but Aid nor Kit sang at all.

I loved it so much and I was swinging my body to the beat. Even Ashley was clapping while sitting on my lap, Brooks looked happy and he had a huge baby smile on his face.

After he hit the final note everyone cheered and clapped and Kit just smiled and scratched the back of his head. Aid gave him a high five and he had a huge smile on his face.

'This will definitely increase the morals of the soldiers.'
