Final

Jean's POV

Sasha, Pieck and I move as fast as we could towards Eren's nape. There were multiple titans but it was a lot easier since Ghost team was giving us covering fire.

"Let's go Sasha!" I yelled

Sasha killed a titan and I reached for the detonator but I saw that the explosives were placed on the wrong part of the nape.

"Cover me I need to fix the explosives!" I yelled

Ghost's POV

"Mikasa I have eyes on the titan with the cow head." I said through my headphone

"I see it too, on it!" she yelled

"Marksman takes out its eyes." I said

Marksman fired at the titan and now it was blind allowing Mikasa to slice open it's jaw and out came Armin. Armin coughed but immediately shot his thunder spear into the titan's mouth.

But there were too many titans, every time one was taken two replace it doubling its amount of titans.

"This is going to be tough." sighed Phantom

Jean's POV

I fixed the explosives but when I looked over to the others I saw Reiner getting stabbed by one of the warhammer titans. He fell and the war hammer titan raised its scythe ready to strike Reiner's nape.

"Reiner!" I yelled

But then I saw a titan to my left try to pounce on me but then Porco's titan came and killed the titan.

"Porco?!" I gasped

That's when I saw some titan's begin to fight off the other titans giving us support. Bertholdt's titan swung it's arm and swatted away the titans on Reiner.

"What's going on?" I gasped

"Hey Levi!"

I looked up and on top of one of Eren's bones was Zeke. My eyes widened and Levi swung in and decapitated Zeke's head, I looked over to the colossal titans and they stopped moving.

"What's going on?" I asked

"It's Zeke who was controlling the titans." said Armin through my earpiece, "Blow up the explosives!"

I grabbed the detonator and looked at Eren.

"You little stupid suicidal block head!" I yelled before pressing the a button on the detonator

The nape exploded and Eren's head began to fall down but the same centipede thing came out of Eren's body when Gabi decapitated him.

"That thing is going to attach to Eren's head again!" I yelled

But Reiner jumped down and grabbed it and began to push it away from Eren's head.

"Jean get on!" yelled Connie, "Armin's going to blow!"

"But Reiner." I replied

"Reiner can withstand the colossal titan's explosion but even if it doesn't, Reiner is ready to face the consequences." said Pieck, "He knows this is the last opportunity, he won't let it go to waste."

Reiner roared into the sky as he pushed the thing away from Eren. I quickly swung up and landed on Falco with the others. We got far away and I saw Armin in the distance on top of Bertholdt.

"Looks like, this is it..." I whispered

"Goodbye, Eren." whispered Annie

And with that Armin exploded and there was a bright flash of light that blinded me. I watched as Armin's titan form stood over Eren's now destroyed titan form. Mikasa swooped in and cut Armin out of his titan form and came back onto Falco. The remaining titans began to slowly die out and decompose.

We landed on the ground and I rushed over to Reiner who was still alive but badly injured. Kit quickly tended him and I looked around looking for Eren's head but it wasn't anywhere.

"Where's his-"

I was cut off when Ghost was tackled onto the ground and when I looked over it was Eren. Eren punched Ghost in the face but Ghost blocked it and pushed him off of him.

"Eren!" yelled Mikasa

He looked really skinny but he brought his hand up to his lip ready to bite down.

"Eren no!" yelled Armin

But from behind Annie sliced Eren's nape. Eren collapsed onto the floor and Annie just stared at him with wide eyes.

"Eren..." she whispered

She kneeled down and picked up Eren's body and hugged him.

"I'm sorry." she said

I watched as she began to cry over Eren's body, Kit approached Eren and put two fingers on his pulse but he shook his head.

"He's gone." said Kit

Mikasa and Armin went to Annie to comfort her but she pushed them away so Phantom went behind her and hugged her.

"It's okay, just let him go." said Phantom

"No no it's all my fault this happened!" sobbed Annie

She continued screaming and I couldn't help but look away and just wipe my tears. But Annie stopped screaming and passed out allowing Phantom to carry her.

"She's in shock." said Phantom

Bomber came with a body bag and put Eren's body in it.

"Let's go home." said Ghost

2 hours later

Jean's POV

"Jean..." whispered Mikasa

I looked up at her and she just hugged me.

"It's all over now." she said

I nodded and just embraced her. Levi was getting treated with the others and Kit came up to me.

"I think your kids want to see you." he said

I nodded so I got up and left the tent where Damion and Joshua were waiting for me.

"Dad." whispered Damion

Damion and Joshua came up to me and hugged me.

"Is it over?" asked Damion

"It's over." I replied

I looked over to Annie who was talking to Ashley and Brooks and from the looks of their facial expression, Annie told them the truth.

"I'll tell you what happened when we get back home." I said

Ghost's POV

"You're Ghost team! So you guys are alive!" excitedly said Keegan

I looked at Keegan and back at Emma.

"Can you believe it Emma? Ghost is standing right in front of us." said Keegan

Emma did look surprised but she also seemed a bit scared.

"I always wanted to know how to get into Sentinel but it all didn't come true since I thought Sentinel was disbanded but it's still here!" said Keegan, "Can you make me your student? I can train really hard and just be like you."

"Keegan." I whispered

Keegan's eyes widened.

"You know my name?" he asked

"Keegan, Emma I always wanted to tell you this but I couldn't. But I think now would be the best option." I said

I looked at Phantom and nodded so I unclipped my helmet, took my helmet and my headset off. I slowly pulled off my mask and once I did Keegan's eyes widened.

"D-dad?" he gasped

Emma looked like she was going to pass out when she saw me. Phantom also took off her hat, her eyepiece and her bandana and Keegan looked like he was looking at two ghosts.

"So you're one of them, you were a ghost." whispered Keegan in shock

"Try the Ghost."

Malvik and Tessa approached us and they too took off their masks.

"He's the commanding officer." said Malvik

"Uncle Malvik and aunt Tessa?!" gasped Emma, "You've been keeping this a secret from us?"

"I'm sorry we had to keep this away from you for a long time. I didn't know how to tell you this because I was afraid of the outcome." I replied

"So Eren was right about you." said Keegan

"Huh?" I questioned

"She's Recon." said Keegan as she pointed at Tessa, "She killed your squad."

"That was a long time ago." I replied

"Eren told me that you don't have what it takes to save others." said Keegan

"Keegan you little-"

I stopped Emily from hurting Keegan.

"I can't blame him." I said

I sighed and looked at Keegan.

"The reason why I didn't tell you about this, I wanted to leave all of this behind. Informing you about me can cause you two to be in danger from unknown threats." I said, "But I hope you understand."

Keegan and Emma immediately nodded.

"I'm glad." I said, "Wait here, I have more things to do."

I left with Emily and went to the refugee part.

"What are you doing here?" asked Emily

"I need to see someone." I replied

"Sir." saluted a Sentinel

I saluted back and looked for the girl I saved until I spotted her.

"Did you find information on her?" I asked

"Her sir? Yes well, the rumbling killed all of her remaining family members and she has nowhere to go." replied the sentinel, "But she's so smart, she's a born genius she's already in high school at her age."

"Thanks that's all I need." I replied

I approached her and she looked up at me so I took a knee.

"What's your name?" I asked in Chinese

"Weng Mingxin." she replied

"Do you have an English name?" I asked

She shook her head.

"Do you have anyone to go back to?" I asked

She shook her head.

"I heard that most of my family members were killed." she replied, "They said I was going to end up in an orphanage."

I sighed and looked at Emily.

"Can we take her in?" asked Emily in English

"I was going to do that." I replied

I looked back at her and held out my hand to her.

"I'll take care of you." I said, "But only if you'll accept it."

Her eyes widened.

"Oh and here." I said

I reached into my pocket and pulled out her glasses.

"I failed to save your family, I wish you could forgive me." I said

She took her glasses and she immediately hugged me.

"Thank you." she cried

I was caught by surprise but I just hugged her back.

2 weeks later

Annie's POV

"Present arms!"

All the soldiers saluted as the soldiers who were killed were descending down the hole. Eren was also there but no one paid attention to him except for me.

"Now pay your respects, if you want to." said a soldier

We all began to pay our respects but when they got to Eren's coffin they just walked by. I didn't know what to do but before I could pay my respects Ajax came and laid his hand on his coffin.

"I'm sorry." he whispered to me

Everyone looked at him and I just laid my hand on his coffin as well. Mikasa and the others followed as well except for a few and we watched his coffin descend into the hole.

My heart was aching the whole funeral and I couldn't help but cry. Mikasa comforted me but I just kept crying as I watched Eren go down 6 feet into the hole.

'I'll miss you Eren.'
