The black pen.

"Ugh! Where is my pen?!" Crystal says out loud as she rummages through her drawer,

"Tobi!" she calls, he was at the backyard trying to catch a coconut fruit from hitting the ground.

"What?!"

"..."

Tobi takes a deep breath and bits his lower lips trying to not insult his sister

"WHAT?!"

"have you seen my pen?!" Crystal walks outside and yells back.

"No! what pen are you talking about?!" Tobi squeeze his face in utter confusion.

"Just forget it, Come inside and help me look for it"

"but I'm busy Sis" Tobi begs

"Busy catching nuts! Come inside before I break your head with one of those nuts!"

Crystal yells back and Tobi reluctantly agrees.

....

"Kids... what are you looking for?"

Tobi's mother walks into the house in disarray.

"A pen" Crystal replied bluntly

"A pen? what colour is it?"

"Black"

"Black?"

"Yeah it's black I used it this morning before I went out with dad and when I came back from fishing I couldn't find it"

"Oh? Jana must've taken it then, you should ask him"

So Crystal and Tobi go out side and meet Jana on the shore of the beach with other kids playing, they call him out and talk to him

"What do you want?" Jana asks

Crystal rolls her eyes and gets straight to the point "Where's my black pen?"

"Sis don't just accuse him right away!"

"A black pen? What black pen?"

Jana seems geniuely confused about what Crystal asks him of

"The black pen that you took, where is it?"

"I don't know what you're talking about, when last did you use it?"

Crystal sighs and explains to Jana,

" I was writing with it this morning before going fishing but I can't seem to find it anywhere at home "

Tobi moves forward, "Mother said we should ask you about it"

Jana shook his head and replied back "I haven't seen a black pen but ask Tara he should have seen your black pen"

So the two siblings leave and head to farm shed where to their suprise see Tara with the black pen!

"There! It's with Tara!" Crystal grabs Tobi by the hand and they rush to meet Tara.

"Big sister? Big brother? what are you doing here?" Tara said to them in his cute and childish voice.

"Little Tara, Big sister is looking for-"

"Give me that!"

Crystal yanks the black pen from Tara's hands and Tara burst into tears.

"Sis! give him back the pen the elders are going to scold you!" Tobi gets on one knee and pats his younger brother's head,"There there big sister is just feeling under the weather okay,"

Tara stops crying and holds onto Tobi's hand waiting for the pen to be given back to him.

"Huh? this..." Crystal holds the pen close to here small rosy nose, "It's not the pen..."

"You think?!" Tobi yells at her and pulls them pen from her hand and turns towards his younger brother and hands it over to him. All of sudden Tara turns to the back and point at the house,

"Baby brother has another black pen Big sister," Tara turns to Crystal with a big smile on his face.

Crystal and Tobi look at each other as if to say the worst could have happened and ran towards the house.

Bam! First thing they see is their baby brother on the floor laughing with black ink all over the place with a piece of paper that had a picture drawn on it.

"My pen!" Crystal cried out

"My drawing!" Tobi cried out

"Kids what's wrong?- The house!" Tobi's father cried out,

"Tesha!" Everyone shouted at the little baby who was smiling and laughing haliriously at their faces. Loud giggle noises echoed through the house as more ink splatter on the walls of the house.

"What's wrong with him?!" Crystal yells

"He's just a baby Sis no need to yell at him"

"That's not a Baby that's a monster!"

"Crystal don't call your baby brother a monster correct your self" Tobi's dad picked up Tesha from the ground and handed him over to Crystal,

"I'm sorry he's not a monster... He's crazy baby!"

"Sis!"

"Crystal!"

"What kind of baby takes something and destroys it?!!"

"Every baby does that Sis!" Tobi choked with laughter.

"Wife! come deal with this kids"

So much for a black pen.
