ATOHMMA

The natives were elemental. They were known for their superpowers and special abilities. Everything revolved around Atohmma being the descendant of the ancestral native elf people and becoming the true leader. She was petite, powerful, wise and envied. Her world was strange, cold and foggy. Many years passed before she realized, that even her fleeting thoughts, had the power to affect, destroy or improve her world. Copyright: Tricia A. Chapter Forty

After Nucamma left, Atohmma was pleased that he came, but she didn't know they had connected telepathically. Her own thoughts had led Nucamma to come to her. It was a skill she had, that was heightened now that she was transformed. She could send messages with her mind and she had to realize this. The Chief sage made her aware about her abilities and powers being heightened, but Atohmma was not yet aware of her power of thought. She noted everything in her journal, but failed to make a link between certain events and her thoughts. She did suspect it on occasion, but usually, she was unable to come to full terms with it.

On Nucamma's way back, he considered helping her out. He wanted to stop at her village, to talk to Venomma and Orgamma about it. At least to prepare them, and to make the news a bit easier for them to swallow. By the time the truth gets revealed, they would have already been aware of it and it wouldn't be too much of a surprise. There was need now for them to learn about her transformation, but he also knew, Atohmma was unaware of what he was about to do. He didn't want to break her trust. He knew little about Venomma and Orgamma. He also knew little about Atohmma's relationship with them. He was aware that she left them both in charge but that was all. He knew they worked closely together, but still, that was insufficient for him to assume they will accept the news in this way. He circled the village for a while, trying to determine within himself, if what he was about to do, would help Atohmma instead of harming her. He did not know, on what conditions Atohmma left the village...He couldn't take the risk... He was an outsider after all. They didn't know him well enough...The Chief sage advised Atohmma to wait... All the thoughts and reconsiderations left Nucamma with only one option. He flew off and went back to his village.

Frisky, saw Atohmma pass by. He wondered what she was up to heading to the exit. He didn't follow her, but he saw when she was heading back to her tent. He was concerned, so he followed her back to her tent and approached her, asking if she needed some help. He told her that she seemed to be walking up and down and lost somehow. Atohmma, reassured him that, she was alright and that her friend Nucamma came by and they were having a chat. Frisky understood and she didn't need to say anything else. He explained to her, that he understood the need for her to be with her friends and family. He knew they would be concerned and they will be curious about her need to be away from the village for a while, but that her new role, demands a certain amount of self control. She needed to understand, that the way she did things over at the village, couldn't be practiced anymore. She had to think like a leader, to delegate. Not to go to persons, but have persons come to her. She needed to give orders and appoint, not go check things out herself. Atohmma understood but she had to be honest with herself. She was no longer Atohmma from the village. She was the chosen one, the leader of their world. Her position was of higher rank than the Chief sage and the elder lady. She had to face it. She had to learn how to do it. She had to become it. "You're right Frisky, absolutely. I need to understand my role. I need to fully accept it and realize what is expected of me. I think I should be trained, or at least coached. Is there anyone here, who might be able to coach me into my new roles? Someone who can, at least, let me know what the elves and natives would expect of their leader?" Frisky, knew the elder lady had her idea of the role and so did the Chief sage, but he couldn't think of anyone, who had the ability and knowledge about her role. He couldn't think of anyone there, who was able to coach Atohmma. He thought about it some more and he said, "I believe it will be best, if you speak to the Chief about this Atohmma. He may be the only one with the experience of being around your ancestors and the forefathers. His experience with them and their ways, might help you to understand how you can approach your new role. "Good idea, Frisky." said Atohmma. "I might just do that."

Frisky took his leave and Atohmma sat a while considering their conversation and his advice. She remembered some of the things she learnt so far from the Chief and she was convinced, that he was the best person to help with her dilemma. She decided to speak to him in the morning of the next day. She went into her tent, looked at her hair, ears, eyes, nails and how she fit in her clothes. She thought about how she walked and how she could adjust her posture. She imagined holding the sword of compassion, and even how she should carry it.

Atohmma decided to make small adjustments and changes to her behavior, look and posture on her own. She also considered adjusting her usual way of doing things, but not so much as to lose her sense of humility. She wanted to remain friendly and kind, so she was determined to remain approachable and noble. Whatever she wanted in a leader, she tried to be that to the inhabitants of her world, to both elders and children. If she wasn't the chosen one, and the role belonged to someone else, Atohmma, knew exactly how she would have wanted that person to be. She had spent enough time around the natives, knowing what they liked and didn't like about her, so she intentionally, needed to make those adjustments.
