ATOHMMA

The natives were elemental. They were known for their superpowers and special abilities. Everything revolved around Atohmma being the descendant of the ancestral native elf people and becoming the true leader. She was petite, powerful, wise and envied. Her world was strange, cold and foggy. Many years passed before she realized, that even her fleeting thoughts, had the power to affect, destroy or improve her world. Copyright: Tricia A. Chapter Forty-Two

Upon leaving the Chief's tent, Atohmma noticed the elemental shield. It was easily seen from there, and she could see its fluorescent colors. It didn't seem to be disturbed, but to her, it seemed to be much larger than before. At least, from being close to it, she knew that, from a distance it would have seem smaller than the actual size. She continued down the village roads, greeting everyone she met along the way, until she saw the road she took to the swings. She couldn't resist. She had to go there. It was the perfect place for her to think and relax in a fun way at the same time.

At the swings, there were many of the little elves, they were playing as though it was all they knew how to do. She saw an empty swing. The children ran to her and she was happy to see them all excited and safely enjoying themselves. They expected that she would have had snacks with her, but she didn't. She apologized and let them know, that she wasn't planning to see them or even be there today. One little elf, had some cherries he picked from a nearby tree. Today it was their turn to share with her. He gave Atohmma a handful of cherries and showed her the tree. The cherries were bright red and the tree was laden with cherries. She popped one in, and it was so sweet, Atohmma had a few all at once.

While on the swing, she thought about what the Chief said about her thoughts. She was now convinced about her telepathy with Nucamma that day. The wind was blowing her hair while she swung back and forth. She didn't feel like thinking anymore about anything. She just wanted to allow herself to enjoy the moment. Back at her tent, Frisky went to see her, but she was not there. He thought that she might have been at the Chief's tent, so he decided to leave. As he was on his way, he saw one of the elves, and asked if he saw Atohmma. He said, "yes I did see her. She passed here a while ago and went to the swings." "Thank you!" replied Frisky. Frisky thought, maybe, she wouldn't mind, but he didn't want to disturb the reason she went there in the first place. He took off and went his own way.

Each time Atohmma tried to dismiss her thoughts, she was unable to stop thinking about the power she had. "I need to be careful," she said to herself. "I need to be very careful of my thoughts, because it may either hurt someone or even...and the telepathy. I must find a way to control this. It's not enough for me to dismiss or ignore the things that cross my mind intentionally or otherwise, no, there must be a way." She needed to make a note of it, but she didn't have her journal, so she left the swings and went home. Atohmma immediately grabbed her journal. She went back to all the pages that were marked for weird incidents. She went back to the matter, about Venomma's blanket, the wings that they all had use of during the flood and thought, "Of course, so I did have something to do with it." Windsong understanding her and speaking to them, was all because of her. She kept turning pages and looking specifically at her illustrations.

Atohmma didn't blame herself. She was only beginning to understand herself. There was nothing she could have done to prevent what happened when she was a child, and there was nothing better that could have been done the day of the flood. With everything that has been happening, Atohmma knew she tried her best and most of all, she cared. She took on a huge responsibility taking care of her village and being the one they all turned to, without having a clue, that she was actually, the chosen one. She began writing her notes, so she wouldn't forget anything that she and the Chief had discussed. The only challenge she had to face now, was knowing how to keep a close eye on her thoughts. She had to figure out a way, to control it or at least a way to control the energy she put into what she thought about. The last thing Atohmma wanted to do, was hurt or disturb anyone. She knew that day, Nucamma probably left his work just to see her because she wanted it so badly. Although she was happy about it, she knew he would have waited, or at least she thought he would. This power could have been Atohmma's most powerful weapon. She could control everyone and everything, if she only mastered this ability. For some reason, this was not her goal. She wasn't the type of person, to have a desire for control. If she was, she would probably, exhaust that power to her advantage, but she desired peace, happiness and flourishing for them all.

Atohmma meant well, she was harmless to all creatures and natives. She had a weakness for helping others and doing the best she could under any circumstances. Her role in their world, suited her, she was the chosen one and their leader. She did nothing for herself and was always thoughtful. She was worthy to have been born with so many useful and amazing skills. Her powers would have been well managed, because she was a balanced fairy person and now, a balanced elf.
