ATOHMMA

The natives were elemental. They were known for their superpowers and special abilities. Everything revolved around Atohmma being the descendant of the ancestral native elf people and becoming the true leader. She was petite, powerful, wise and envied. Her world was strange, cold and foggy. Many years passed before she realized, that even her fleeting thoughts, had the power to affect, destroy or improve her world. Copyright: Tricia A. Chapter Eleven

Atohmma was elated. She felt confident and appreciated. Now that at least one person knew she was not imagining things, she was relieved. When they got back to Atohmma's cave, she invited Nucamma to have tea with her, he appreciated it but he couldn't stay. He had an early day tomorrow with work and some chores to catch up on, so he assured her that they will meet the following day.

Atohmma prepared herself a light snack before bed. She couldn't sleep, so she went straight for her journal. She wanted to record this experience, and the outing with Nucamma. She replayed it in her mind, anxiously flipped the pages until she found a blank one and wrote in detail. Atohmma was not one to write without illustrations. She wrote and drew in between. She drew Windsong and she drew the stone Nucamma tripped upon. She also scribbled some flowers and the grass. She had a special memory that she placed in a circle as she wrote. It was about that moment, when Windsong touched her forehead with her magical, pointed horn. Although Atohmma laughed again in her memory as she laughed when it happened, it was a special moment for her. She felt something she missed. She couldn't find the words, or word, to describe what it was, all she knew was that she would never forget the way it made her feel, and with that thought, she fell fast off to sleep.

The next day, Venomma and Orgamma came knocking on Atohmma's door by pelting it with stones. Although they were joking around, having fun with it, Atohmma was mad. She woke up furious and barged outside ready for a fight. To quell her rage, she saw both of them giggling. "What's so funny? Both of you are pelting stones at my cave and finding it hilarious! Not very amusing. What do you guys want now?" asked Atohmma, as she placed her hands on her hips. "We are trying to get your attention of course. You need to go through the sketch of the well, remember." said Orgamma. "Oh. That." said Atohmma uninspired. "What do you mean by "Oh that! This is important and you know it." added Venomma. "Ok, I know, give me a few minutes and I'll be with you guys shortly." said Atohmma as she turned away to go inside. Before she approached her doorway, she spun around, her ponytail hitting against the other side of her neck, saying "Two hours and that's it. You get two hours with me on this, so have all your drafts and ideas ready." She continued into her cave and headed for her kitchen, turned the kettle on, then she went to her bathroom to brush her teeth and have a shower.

When Atohmma was ready, she went along with some snacks and juice for both Orgamma and Venomma. She left her cave and went outside. "Okay guys let's go." she said. "Go where?" asked Venomma, as she and Orgamma looked at eachother simultaneously confused. "We are going to the lakeside. There it is peaceful, calming and we will be undisturbed." Atohmma responded with authority. "Okay!" said Orgamma, as he was all for it without any tone of disagreement. Off they went.

Upon reaching the lake, the three, found a nice dry spot where they could sit to discuss their plan. Atohmma stood staring at the lake. She recalled what she wrote in her journal about her wish against Venomma and the blanket. She thought, "Venomma's blanket, I wonder where it could be. "She dismissed the thought from her mind, turned and went to sit with them.

Orgamma opened the sketch. He did most of the explanations. His drawing was precise and legible. Atohmma looked at it while he explained. So did Venomma. Venomma interrupted at times, to explain the dimensions and the material that she thought would be best suited for the well. This well had to be special, it had to store as much clean water as possible. It had to be deep or wide. Both Orgamma and Venomma preferred wide. In their draft they also used a special material for it's construction. Unlike the real world, they had to use mostly natural substances as opposed to steel, wood or concrete. They thought about using a special titanium metal substance as it was considered to be resistant to sea water and other chemicals. It's durability could withstand any adverse weather conditions that may occur. "Why wide and not deep?" questioned Atohmma. "We thought it would be easier to extract and locate. The depth may require too many other contraptions, and who knows what damage can happen to those contraptions by adverse and threatening weather changes. It may be too difficult or time consuming to fix. We suggest we go for the least problematic solutions." explained Orgamma. "I see, this is good, yes, this makes a whole lot of sense, good thinking." said Atohmma. "I do agree that the material is suitable and we have a wealth of it, being our natural resource. We need to utilize it. I understand and also tend to agree with the well being wide as opposed to deep, "she added."

Alternatively, Venomma was considering having two wells, built side by side. One running toward the west and another toward the east because it will be of a particular length. She mentioned this to Atohmma, who advised that the length should take up as much as the shape of the area would allow on both sides. Atohmma was referring to it being straight and not convex in shape, so that where the island bends, there will be no need for extra engineering to make a semi circle of the well at a certain point. Having considered this idea, Atohmma thought of the most appropriate spot for it.

"I have an idea guys. I know the perfect spot for us to install the well." said Atohmma convincingly. "Great, we were hoping you would get to that." Venomma responded. "Where?" Orgamma added. "Show me your map." Atohmma instructed Orgamma. On the map was their entire world. Atohmma pointed to the place she considered to be most appropriate for the well. As Venomma and Orgamma looked on, she pointed to the area of the map, where the unicorns lived. Atohmma, on going there a couple times, was able to see the shape from flying above and she remembered it well. Unknown to the others, she referred to it as the pastures. "Is this where you took us to see the unicorns?" "Yes, it is. But we are not constructing the well on their home. We will construct it around their home, on the outskirts. Consider it the northern area of the pasturelands and northwest of our village. There is a vast expanse of unused area there, and it has sufficient width on both sides. It is a fairly undisturbed area as well. I think it's perfect." Orgamma and Venomma didnt argue or question Atohmma's idea. Afterall, they depended on her for the location, because she knew every nook and cranny of that place.
