Chapter 3 Rebirth And Plan

All the while Kypher was flying through the long purple tube when all of a sudden, a bright, white, light appeared, blinding Kypher's eyes. And in addition to the light, a sudden urge overpowered Kypher. An urge to scream, and scream he did.

"WAAAAAAHHH"

But in a voice that was not his...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A few minutes before Kypher was born...

"AHHHHHHHH" A banshee like scream sounded throughout the Feng manor. A number of maids and midwives ran in and out of a large wooden door, like headless chicken, while a pair of runners were fetching fresh, cold water, from the well in the court yard.

Inside the room was chaos. It was expected though... One should never expect a woman to be calm during a labour as that just impossible. The pain does not help. The same could be said for the woman laying on the bed. Her white, almost snow-like, hair was tangled everywhere and covered in sweat. Her lime eyes, that would mesmerise many, were wide open.

A scream would leave her lovely mouth, every once in a while, and at the same time her fine hands would grip with such strength that would leave any man in shame.

Next to her, was a well-built man, with tanned skin and bright sapphire eyes. If he was in any other situation, he would have looked like a general or commander of some sorts, calm and collected, yet here inside the room, he was sweating buckets and looked thin. He watched with pained eyes, his wife being in tremendous pain, yet all he could do is hold her hand and give some 'very' helpful advice every now and again.

"Push, dear. Push for a bit more. Nearly there." he repeated again and again, like a broken record his voice soft.

Suddenly the doctor called out loud:

"I see it! I see the head! The child's head is poking out!" This gave the already shivering husband a ray of hope that this would soon be over. But the hand that he was grasping, clenched tightly reminded that babe has yet to be born.

"There you go, Neph! Just as the doctor said! Its nearly over! Push for a last time! " he called out, hoping his wife heard him.

"AAAAAOOOOOO!!" The woman's response though was a howl of sorts.

And as the woman called Neph gave her all, a babe popped out of her. A small babe, maybe smaller than 3 cabbages tall, but still a healthy child nonetheless.

"WAAAAAAHHH" It let out a cry, as if trying to imitate his mother's howl, but failed miserably and sounded more cute than threatening.

"What is the young master name?"the family butler who stood in corner had asked.

"Kypher.. or Kyph for short." The man answered without hesitation. It was a combination of both his and his wife's name. Kyn Laer sighed. He finally had a child after many years of attempts. He was glad, yet tired. He saw his wife, trying to calm her crazily beating heart, while careful held their son, and chose to hug her,

It was pleasant sight, for the butler and maids. They had seen how dejected the couple had been after many years of struggle to produce a child. Seeing this family all grouped in a hug, he couldn't help let a smile show, on his aged face. He quickly hid it though. He had a reputation to uphold.

What he didn't know was the headache he'd receive each day trying to handle the adventurous fox of a child.

POV Kypher

"AAAAHH!! GIANTS!! I'M GOING TO GET EATEN!!" Then it suddenly clicked in his mind "Ah right, forgot that I'm a new born." He internally sighed. This was the hardest part. Trying to fit in and prepare for what is coming. Out of nowhere though, soreness overpowered him. It fell he had just finished a marathon. And so, he let himself fall into the embrace of sleep...

Sleep! sorry...

Time skip 10 years

"Kyph! Kyyyph! Where are you? Lunch is ready. Come out to eat." A warm voice echnoed in the Feng manor. A somewhat cold breeze brushed past. It was the glistening autumnal side of summer, and in the garden, the elegant turquoise willow tree had started to change. The leaves had began to welt and dry out.

If one would look closely, however they would glimpse a childish figure, sitting on the tree, meditating, or at least trying. The white-haired child seemed to be asleep and had started swaying back and forth slightly, his eye lids were fluttering lightly. Suddenly, the child opened his bright azure eyes, with a face full of worry and...

*Fwoop*

*Insert Tom and jerry scream sound efx*"AWUAWUAHWAHWAA"

"GOD DAMN IT" To a normal person this would just seem to be an unlucky coincidence. To Kypher however, this was more than that. Titan did not lie about the world trying to eliminate him. However it seemed like he omitted something important. The older Kypher got, the less frequent and lethal were these attempts on his life. In comparison to his first few month, this was nothing.

Up till now he had survived 3 animal attacks, 7 very random accidents, and even a shelf attack when he was 3. Kypher attributed this to his luck. He had an itch to scratch and had somehow moved out of the way in the nick of time.

It also seemed that Titan had fulfilled Kypher's last wish. He very surprised the first time he saw his reflection. White hair, azure eyes. It seemed like he was staring at a much younger and childish-er version of Gojo Satoru. Kypher was not disappointed. The adult version of Gojo, in his past life, made even straight guys hard.

Kypher got up from the ground, dusted his cozy robes, and started walking back to the dining room, while thinking about how to further develop. He had realised that it was time for him to leave his family and start his own story.

You see, Kypher, up to this point, had not used his bending out in the open. At all. He was hiding it. It wasn't because of the he was afraid of being found that he could bend 2 elements, or than he was one of the extinct air benders, or a traitorous fire bender. He was afraid of his family rejecting him. Kyn Laer and Neph were amazing parents, and he was afraid they would see him as a monster.

He did not slack off in his training however. He had trained from when he started feeling the energy and had reached a decent stage. Nowhere near Zuko's or Aang 's respective bending.

He wasn't exactly bending though since he needed a bending art for that, or at least reach enlightenment to manipulate the elements according to his will. No, what he was doing was willing the elements to do as he asks. Currently, he was capable of generating heat in his hand , and a small gust of air.

He would still be able to beat a fire nation soldier though, although he would use his martial prowess instead. This was something he slowly displayed to his parents.

Although his parents were slightly disappointed in his incapability to earth bend, they were excited with his martial talent. They assumed he was a natural swordsman(He had preferred the sword, however he still had the theoretical knowledge to use all other weapons) and had brought many instructors to teach him, despite the fact that they were useless to him, he still appreciated their lessons.

In addition to his swordsmanship. He decided to show off his dagger proficiency. This was a useful secret when which would more likely save his life in many cases.

His father was a Brigadier Captain in the earth nation. It wasn't exactly a great position, even his noble status was given to him because of his merits to Ba Sing Se. However Kyn Laer provided Kypher everything he needed.

"Here comes my genius swordsman!" Were the first words he had heard when he entered the room. His father loved to his tease him over this matter. He saw him sitting next to his mother, Neph, who had a strained smile on her bewitching face.

"Oh, come on dad, I am 10 years old. Stop teasing me." Kypher complained. He had hated the title since he knew he didn't truly deserve it. He was curios thought to what happened.

"I know Kyph..." His father hesitated for a second but then caried on..."But I wont be able to tease you any time soon..." He said with sad heart. This made Kypher freeze. He did not know what was happening or what to do. This was the first time he had seen them hesitate over anything, so he knew something was wrong. "Mom, Dad, what is going on?"

Kypher saw his father hesitate again. However his mother answer the question for him "Kyph, honey... We knew that you would have to leave one day soon. It's clear in your eyes. The wish for freedom and adventure." The smile on her face became more forced than she had hoped to show.

This made Kypher, started having second thoughts about going away. Maybe he could stay here with his family. The Gaang did not need his help. They could do everything on their own, in the cartoon. Couldn't they do the exact same in this case. He didn't need to babysit them. His father saw him start to rethink about leaving and became mad.

"Don't even think about it. You need to grow up in the wild. You are no caged animal. You are a free person. I will not let you clip your wings, before you even attempt to fly" His father said with a fierce look, promising Kypher, pain and anguish if he dares to change his mind.

This did the trick. Kypher saw the look in his father eyes. Then he reminded himself of the words Titan said to him. His destiny is not set in stone. He will forge his own destiny.

He remembered the promise, he made to himself back in the Void. He will use his full potential and won't waste any chances given to him. His gaze became determined. This made his father nod in satisfaction. He had stopped his son from going astray. This was a father's duty after all.

The couple knew, that their child was special. Since he was just a kid, he was very independent and did not act like his agemates. This was why they had decided to hire instructors and teachers, instead of sending him to a school, where he would most likely be bored.

The decision to let him leave was a hard one, but one they decided to allow, as this would help Kypher grow up, and learn of the world, in his own way. They would still help him though whenever he needed it.

"Come on, son. Eat up. You'll be leaving tomorrow. We prepared everything that you might need for you journey." His father surprised him.

After lunch, they had decided to spend the remaining time together, playing board games, such as Pai Sho, a game which Kypher had fallen in love with, after seeing Iroh play it. He had tried to learn it to his best ability in his past life. And his expertise in the game had become even more spectacular, with his mother teaching him.

That night Kypher, started to reminisce about how he spent the time with his family. Although he had spent most of his time training and meditating, he refused not to spend time with his family. He loved them dearly and would give much to protect them from harm. He became an orphan in his adolescent years, and could not remember much about the warmth his parent provided him.

After a couple of hours of reliving, the exciting moment in his new life, he had fallen asleep...

Hello dear Readers! This chapter was quite a lot larger than the previous one. I know this.

The reason for this was that i was trying to skim through to the actual story of Kypher. Not his background and so on. His parents wont be forgotten. I do plan on him visiting them a few times.

Also i couldn't find a place to end the chapter, since the birth section wasn't that large. Thank you for reading my ff, I do hope you enjoy it.

Cya tomorrow!!
