Chapter 7 Sword of Judgment

After the trial, Lin Kun, the envoy from the Sovereign Sword Region to which the Heavenly Sword Villa was affiliated, invited them to witness the sealing of a demon. Xion decided to stay behind, assuring he would be fine, but as soon as everyone left, he ingested an invisibility pill and followed the group.

"There's an 8th rank cultivator from the Sovereign Profound Realm monitoring this place," Jasmine reported as they reached the enormous valley, where a gigantic sword served as a seal for a formation.

The purpose of this formation was to imprison one of Yun Che's relatives, his biological grandfather Yun Canghai, held there as bait to lure his parents and take from them the Sansara Mirror, a unique treasure. The leader of the Sovereign Sword Region believed it would help him reach the Divine Realm, a foolish notion, but he was determined to achieve it.

"The supposed demon is my grandfather, and although I have no special feelings for him, I must rescue him. At the moment, I don't have enough strength to do so, and releasing him would cause more problems, so I'll let him be sealed again. Still, I plan to help him a bit," said Xion as he flew to stand beside Lin Kun, who didn't notice his presence despite being just a few meters away. Xion smiled and waited for Lin Kun to release the seal weakening Yun Canghai.

After putting on a show, Lin Kun released the seal, and a thin and battered old man emerged from the opened seal pit, covered in chains.

"Jasmine, can you convey a message?" Xion asked as Lin Kun presented the supposed demon.

"Speak," Jasmine said as Xion flew towards where Yun Canghai floated.

"Elder Yun Canghai, I'm Yun Che; my surname is no coincidence. In two years, I'll come back to free you, don't despair. I can also take you back to the Illusory Demon Continent at that time. In this ring I'm giving you, there's beast meat to help you regain your strength, among other things," Xion said, sliding a ring among the rags Yun Canghai wore.

"Your family is safe. They tried to rescue him before but were ambushed, just like your group, and had to flee. Now we must act cautiously because there are spies on our side. Remember, I'll be back in two years," Xion said as he walked away.

While they spoke, Lin Kun insulted Yun Canghai, assuring him he would never get out. Yun Canghai cursed him, vowing to go after his head first when he got out but didn't attempt to escape or do anything else while being sealed.

Once the spectacle ended, Xion hurried back to his own camp and lay down on his bed after checking a small trap to see if anyone had tampered with it while he was away.

His group returned shortly after, telling him everything that had happened in the Sealed Sword Land. Xion feigned recovery after a day in a pool of healing herbs, leaving the Sword Villa's healer surprised, and then marched with the rest of his group toward the Frozen Cloud Asgard.

"Tell me where my mother is," demanded Xia Qingyue as soon as they arrived at the Frozen Cloud Asgard.

"Follow me," said Xion and led her to his room. Chu Yuechan followed.

In his room, the three sat down, and Xion looked at Xia Qingyue. Xion pondered how to begin this story, not wanting Jasmine to erupt in anger.

"Her name was Yue Gugou, a woman living in the Divine Realm. Born into a humble family, she possessed a rare bodily condition that hadn't appeared in a hundred thousand years in the God Realm. Somehow, she caught the attention of the Moon Emperor in the God Realm, Yue Wuya…" Xion felt his neck being grabbed as he was lifted against the wall, fiery eyes staring at him.

"Bastard!" Jasmine reprimanded angrily. "What else are you hiding from me?" she asked threateningly. Xion could only sigh.

"Jasmine, she's your enemy, not me. Why are you grabbing my neck?" Xion asked with resentment in his voice.

"You lied to me!" Jasmine accused.

"I haven't lied; I simply haven't told you the whole truth. Besides, things didn't unfold as you think; it was all the work of Qianye Ying'er," Xion said. "Jasmine, calm down, think about your health!" Xion expressed concern as Jasmine increased her aura upon hearing Qianye Ying'er's name. Jasmine clenched her teeth, controlled her aura, but didn't release him and tightened her grip on his neck.

"Tell me everything!" she ordered.

"Jasmine, you're beautiful, and maybe I love you, but you can't force me to speak. I'll tell you everything when I deem it appropriate, and not before," Xion said. He didn't know what Jasmine would do if he told her everything at that moment, and it was better not to disrupt the future too much, which is why he left Yun Canghai sealed. Jasmine growled and narrowed her eyes, directing them toward Xia Qingyue.

"Then I'll beat her up; I need to channel my anger somehow," Jasmine said, releasing him and looking at Xia Qingyue with ill intentions. "If you can talk after what I'll do to you, tell that old dog Yue Wuya that the Celestial Slaughter Goddess sends her regards," Jasmine added.

Xion massaged his neck and breathed. Then he raised an eyebrow realizing that the three women seemed to expect him to do something.

"I'm a gentleman; I won't get involved in fights between women. Jasmine, please, go ahead. Qingyue, if you survive, remember to cherish your husband's love," Xion said. He wasn't going to defend this morally bankrupt woman who dared to threaten him with her life. The three women blinked.

"What does being a gentleman have to do with this?" Chu Yuechan asked curiously.

"Nothing, but it sounds good," Xion said honestly. The women blinked again. Jasmine clenched her teeth, and Xion hugged her from behind, giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"I promise that as soon as you're better and can return, I won't hold you back for a second, and I'll tell you everything," Xion said. Jasmine looked embarrassed and disappeared. Xion hugged the air. He sighed and sat back down.

"Well, let's continue," Xion said. "Yue Wuya, the emperor of the Moon Realm in the God Realm, planned to marry Yue Gugou, but as she came from a humble background, those around him would oppose. They decided to reveal her exceptional bodily condition, known as the Immaculate Body, which, according to records, would give rise to extraordinary offspring.

"Yue Wuya announced it everywhere and promised that this would lead the Moon Realm to glory, but he spoke too many nonsenses, and the God Realm is a den of snakes. On' of those snakes, Qianye Ying'er, decided to bother him and sent an attack on the bride's entourage, killing everyone.

"Yue Gugou managed to escape with her life and arrived on this planet, almost dead and with her memories affected. She was found by Qingyue's father, and without her memories, she agreed to become his wife and had two children. Then, when Qingyue was four years old, she remembered her past, and with it, also awakened her divine power.

"She hurried back to the God Realm before being discovered and before our planet suffered a calamity, whether it be from the Moon Emperor, Yue Wuya out of sheer spite, Qianye Ying'er trying to erase evidence, or some other faction coming here and discovering her children with extraordinary talents.

"Yue Gugou is now in the Moon Realm, but her injuries are severe, and she will die in about ten or twenty more years. Yue Wuya hasn't been able to find a capable doctor to heal her. Even for me, it would be challenging to cure her, but it's not impossible," Xion concluded.

Xia Qingyue pondered for a few seconds. She had remained calm throughout the entire story, but now she was slightly clenching her fists.

"How can I reach my mother?" Xia Qingyue asked.

"In this sect, there's a sealed portal that leads to the God Realm and can only be used by one person. You can use it; the rest will depend on your luck," Xion said.

"Don't you want to come to the God Realm?" Xia Qingyue asked.

"I have my own affairs, but you're not a trustworthy person; therefore, I won't tell you anything about them. And if you try to blackmail me again, don't expect me to act civilized," Xion warned coldly. Xia Qingyue lowered her head slightly.

"What should I do to save my mother's life?" she asked. Xion smiled at her and pointed towards the door.

"You can talk to the sect master about using the portal. Tell her that Lin Kun from the sword sect has noticed your existence, and sooner or later, a group of thugs will be here to destroy the sect and take you away silently. You would be a disaster about to happen.

"The best thing you can do is go through the portal and tell everyone that a great power has discovered you and taken you away. If she learns all of this, she won't refuse to let you go," Xion explained. Chu Yuechan looked alarmed at Xia Qingyue, and it was evident that if Xia Qingyue didn't speak, Yuechan would.

"You're cruel, you're ruthlessly exiling her," Jasmine said in his mind, though her voice only contained a satisfied tone. "Yue Wuya, the great moon emperor, a cuckold," Jasmine said and laughed with disdain. It wasn't intentional, but that's what Xion thought. The God Realm was a brutal place.

Xia Qingyue didn't hesitate and knelt on the floor with her face bowed.

"Husband, I deeply regret betraying your trust. Please forgive Qingyue. From now on, Qingyue will be obedient and submissive. Please cure my mother," Xia Qingyue pleaded. "Obedient and submissive, my ass," Xion thought. This woman had no honor or morals. She was capable of anything. Nothing could be trusted with her.

"Qingyue, you're being too formal. Come and sit on your husband's lap; let's talk calmly while you show me some affection," Xion said shamelessly. Xia Qingyue tensed and clenched her teeth, but not to show it, she remained prostrated for a few more seconds.

Chu Yuechan rolled her eyes as Xion grinned maliciously. Did she dare to threaten him with her life and ruin all his plans? Did she think she could push him aside without consequences or manipulate him as she did with Yun Che? "Watch how I control you," Xion thought. He wanted to take this opportunity to teach Xia Qingyue a lesson and make sure she understood that she couldn't use or conspire against him without suffering serious consequences.

"Dear, your husband is waiting for you," Xion said, raising an eyebrow when she didn't get up after five seconds. Xia Qingyue trembled, trying to control her anger.

"Xion, knowing this girl's talent and power, aren't you afraid that fate will punish you for hurting her?" Jasmine asked. Xia Qingyue had the protection of destiny, Xion knew it, and terrible misfortunes would befall anyone who tried to harm her, which is why she was a great karmic shield.

"Don't worry, I won't cross the limits, and her protection doesn't mean she can do whatever she wants, as karma affects us all. She has betrayed me before, so I can cause her moderate harm, enough to give her a little lesson," explained Xion. Jasmine smiled.

"Then go ahead," said Jasmine, as she would have also suffered the consequences if Xia Qingyue had gotten them into trouble. After ten seconds, Xia Qingyue rose with a somewhat stiff body and approached to sit on his lap.

"Husband, let's talk," said Xia Qingyue with a fake smile. Xion responded with another fake smile.

Two days later, the Sect Grandmaster and Sect Master opened the portal to the God Realm, and Xia Qingyue crossed after obtaining the promise that he would find her to cure her mother when he reached the Divine Realm.

After Xia Qingyue's departure, Xion learned the Ice Phoenix Arts using the Elemental Water Seed and then set out. First, he went to the capital to gift Cang Yue the Celestial Flower, which would help her advance to the Emperor stage. Xion helped her absorb it and then headed to the Phoenix Empire.

With his cultivation in the final stage of the Sky Realm, which, thanks to his body and the power of the Evil God, equaled a cultivator in the Tyrant Realm, Xion quickly arrived at the Divine Phoenix City and went to the Black Moon Merchant Guild, where he requested to speak with Xia Hongyi, Xia Qingyue's father, and Xia Yuanba. He gave his name and said it was a business matter.

Xia Hongyi received him in a small palace guided by a servant. He was a middle-aged man, a bit overweight, and it was evident that his children had inherited their mother's features.

"Xion, welcome. Is Xia Qingyue with you?" greeted Xia Hongyi, looking at him. Xion shook his head.

"Father-in-law, she is focused on her cultivation and finding her mother. I also have urgent matters of my own, which is why I'm here," explained Xion, sitting in front of him.

"What are those urgent matters?" asked Xia Hongyi.

"I need cultivation resources, and I don't have the means to obtain them without losing a lot of time. That's why I'm here, to use your merchant guild as an intermediary and make exchanges for them, in return for a percentage of the profits," explained Xion. Xia Hongyi raised an eyebrow and had tea brought in.

"Xion, the powers in this place are not common, and the things they seek aren't either. What do you have to offer that's important to them?" asked Xia Hongyi.

"I can open ten profound circulation points, regardless of how many the cultivator already has open. I am a divine physician, and there are few ailments I cannot cure. Repairing profound veins is not beyond my reach. If there is any valuable medicine to strengthen cultivation at the Sovereign Profound Realm or in its final stage of the Tyrant Realm, I am willing to prepare them. They just need to provide me with two sets of ingredients and the recipe, or the material to refine," explained Xion. Xia Hongyi looked at him astonished. Xion knew he had to showcase his skills to not waste time, so he took out a celestial rank pill he had refined and placed it in front of Xia Hongyi.

"Get a cultivator, anyone will do. I will open ten of their circulation points. I also need an alchemy master to check this pill I have created. I assure you there won't be one with better refinement than this in any of the major powers," declared Xion.

Xia Hongyi set his servants in motion, and half an hour later, they dragged an alchemy master out of his room, who demanded to know which divine alchemist had created that pill to become his disciple. The test cultivator was also examined by a physician who confirmed he had ten opened circulation points, in addition to the ones he already had. The cultivator cried with excitement and was also brought in.

"Is it necessary for me to demonstrate my medical skills as well?" asked Xion. Xia Hongyi hastily shook his head while smiling.

"Let's talk about prices," said Xia Hongyi. Xion nodded.

"I will accept ten percent of the payment in cash. The rest will be settled in tyrant-level resources at forty percent, and the remaining in sovereign-level resources. I will also accept sovereign-level swords, especially heavy swords. Three or four heavy armors would be fine, as well as sovereign-level beast cores, regardless of whether they are poisonous.

"I will need sovereign-level medicinal ingredients, sovereign-level cultivation ingredients, and sovereign-level body-enhancing ingredients," explained Xion, and Xia Hongyi swallowed saliva. "Additionally, I will need a training ground sealed with sovereign-level matrices of the highest level you can offer. I want it so that if a cultivator of the Sovereign Profound Realm at rank 9 trains there and uses their maximum power, not a speck of their aura escapes outside the field. I am also willing to accept this as part of the payment," explained Xion.

"Undoubtedly, the price matches what you are offering," said Xia Hongyi with an uncomfortable smile. Without a doubt, the resources he demanded as payment were terrifying. Xion nodded.

"There are divine physicians who can open up to five circulation points, so it's not that exaggerated. However, the refinement is too conspicuous, and the major powers might try to interfere. What if we act as mediators in this matter, keeping secret who is performing the refinement?" proposed Xia Hongyi. Xion nodded.

One month later, Xion had a palace with a private and sealed training ground underneath it. He also had some sovereign-level cultivation resources, sovereign-level dragon meat, sovereign-level armors, and weapons. In exchange for all this, Xion had only opened the circulation points for some elders from the four major powers of the Profound Sky Continent.

These elders even offered him their daughters to join them, but Xion rejected the offer and was only interested in the money and resources they had to provide. Of course, these elders were known for their cunning, and almost every time he dealt with one of them, they brought physicians and alchemy masters to try to steal his method of opening profound points.

Xion could only laugh inwardly, as his medical techniques came from a divine manual that belonged to a creation goddess named Li Luo. There was no way they could use them without first mastering that divine technique, so the physicians and alchemists left the treatment without understanding anything.

These results made the major powers try to recruit him more forcefully, and Xion knew they would soon try radical measures. That's why he anticipated their actions and was now visiting one of these powers, the Sanctuary of the Absolute Monarch.

Xion was received in a grand hall that looked like a throne room, but instead of one, there were ten thrones. Five of these thrones were occupied by five elders of regal bearing who couldn't hide their anxiety upon seeing him.

"Masters, I am Xion, a divine physician and cultivator, among other things," said Xion.

"Welcome, Xion. I am Bitter Agony Spiritual Master, leader of the ten Spiritual Masters of the Sanctuary of the Absolute Monarch. And these are four of the main pillars of our sect, also Spiritual Masters," introduced the elder occupying the central throne. Xion respectfully bowed.

"Greetings, masters," said Xion, casting his gaze over everyone and then focusing on the main elder. "I am here to accept your proposal and join your sect, but not as a disciple, as there is nothing you can teach me or provide that I cannot obtain on my own using my skills for exchange.

"Therefore, if I join your sect, it will only be as an invited elder, and I will only accept the same status as a Spiritual Master. I won't use your resources for my purposes, but I won't be subject to your orders at will.

"In exchange for this, I am willing to open ten flow points for your entire sect free of charge and treat any severe illnesses or grave injuries that other physicians cannot cure. I don't want to be bothered with simple cases. Lastly, if you accept this proposal without any modifications, I will introduce you to a novice cultivator who possesses the divine veins of the tyrannical emperor," concluded Xion. The masters frowned at his demands, but when he mentioned the last part, they were as eager as in the beginning.

"Xion, it will be an honor to accept your proposal," said Bitter Agony Spiritual Master, and the other masters nodded hastily.

"His name is Xia Yuanba, he is my brother-in-law and the brother of my wife, Xia Qingyue. I suppose you might have heard of her," said Xion, as in the last month, word had spread that one of the major powers took Xia Qingyue from her sect, Frozen Cloud Asgard, and that she possessed a divine body. The elders looked surprised.

"Indeed, the other powers won't delay in conducting their investigations. If you don't hurry, they might discover him before you do. Xia Yuanba might not seem like much in his cultivation, but under the eyes of an expert, his talent will be exposed, and he will be recruited, just like his sister, Xia Qingyue," explained Xion, and one of the elders stood up, bowed, and hurried toward the exit of the hall with all the dignity his haste allowed.

"Master Xion, you have done a great favor to our sect by providing us with this information. Since you are involved with Xia Qingyue, do you know which power invited her?" asked Bitter agony Spiritual Master cautiously. Xion smiled.

"Master, you don't need to worry about that. My wife was claimed by a power beyond this world. She is not in the hands of any of your rival sects," informed Xion. The masters were surprised again, but since Xia Qingyue had disappeared, and no power admitted to having her among their ranks, what he said, being her husband, could be the truth. Xion knew they would try to verify this, and that's why he mentioned it.

"Master Xion, do you need any special resources from our sect?" asked Bitter Agony Spiritual Master, as they had not discussed his compensation yet.

"I am content with the salary of a Spiritual Master, equivalent to yours, with the lowest payment. I will also continue living in my own palace in the Phoenix City, as I have a business agreement there. But I will need you to protect my close relatives: my grandfather Xiao Lie, my aunt Xiao Lingxi, and, of course, my brother-in-law Xia Yuanba. As for my allies, I have a good relationship with the Frozen Cloud Asgard sect and the emperor of the Blue Wind Nation, especially with his daughter, Cang Yue. If at any time of need, you can speak up for them when I am not present to make my voice heard, I would appreciate it.

"In exchange for this last favor, as you know, my relationship with the Black Moon Merchant Guild is excellent, and I can get you significant discounts on divine profound medicine refinement. I can even have the alchemy master who produces the pills make medicine of any level exclusively for your sect.

Bitter Agony Spiritual Master quickly stood up and bowed.

"Master Xion, count on our full support for the well-being of your allies," offered Bitter Agony Spiritual Master solemnly. Xion responded with an even more respectful bow.

"The masters honor me," said Xion.

After negotiating some details, Xion returned to Phoenix City to train with sovereign-level cultivation resources from the four powers. He resumed his twelve-hour daily intensive training regimen, taking breaks between sessions to heal his injuries, refine pills, and, after training, spend six hours opening profound points, his most publicly sought-after expertise.

Xion had a year and a half until, according to his calculations based on knowledge from the original history, the Primordial Ark would appear. It was an object based on the laws of one of the seven celestial treasures, containing a world inside and the ability to travel through the universe in seconds. Inside the Primordial Ark was also a part of the soul of the Evil God's daughter, Hong'er, for whom Xion was already preparing an arsenal of swords.

In addition to this, Jasmine finally handed him a list of ingredients to recover his body, and Xion commissioned the Black Moon Merchant Guild to search for them.

Xion trained tirelessly, and his cultivation, with sovereign-level resources, increased rapidly. Although he only devoted around thirty percent of his time to cultivation and increasing his rank, the rest he invested in training his body, opening purgatory to push it to the limit, practicing the Celestial Wolf Sword and the Great Way of the Buddha. All this while wearing super-heavy armor and a sovereign-level heavy sword that resisted his control, fighting like a wounded beast and causing severe injuries that he had to heal using the Great Way of the Buddha, which, in turn, increased his understanding of this technique.

While training, Xion understood that if Yun Che had practiced seriously instead of getting involved in fights and intrigues, his power would have grown extraordinarily. Every day lost was a day he couldn't recover. Of course, Yun Che didn't know everything he knew. His main advantage was his knowledge of the powers he could trust and those he had to discard, as they could stab him in the back at any moment.

With this advantage, he could obtain abundant resources, enough to supply the warehouses of the Frozen Cloud Asgard Sect and the Blue Wind Nation.

During the first month of cultivation, thanks to the sovereign-level dragon blood, his body was pushed to the limit, breaking through ranks 8 and 9 to reach rank 10 of the Sky Realm. Half a month later, he advanced to the Emperor Realm and could consume some sovereign-level beast meat. His progress continued to be swift, and by the end of the second month, he was already in the Emperor Realm at rank 2.

In the third month, Xion advanced to Emperor Realm at rank 4 and during the first week of rank 5. He started using natural treasures, pills combined with dragon blood and meat. By the fourth month, he had reached rank 7, and by the sixth month, he had advanced to the Tyrant Profound Realm at rank 1. However, his progress slowed significantly, and in one month, he only managed to advance one rank, reaching rank 2 of the Tyrant Profound Realm. His profound veins and body no longer responded the same way to cultivation resources, and profound energy was no longer abundant but rather inefficient. It took him three months to advance to rank 3.

After fourteen months, Xion was at rank 5 of the Tyrant Profound Realm. However, the increase in his cultivation was only a secondary outcome, as his daily and constant practice of the Great Way of the Buddha made him feel that he could advance smoothly in a few more months. He had also completely mastered the Broken Shadow of the Star God and developed a second move for the Celestial Wolf Sword, which was his proudest and most powerful technique.

This technique was developed by Yun Che, but he couldn't make much use of it due to his lack of imagination.

"It's a very powerful technique, on a divine level," praised Jasmine, and for the first time, her praises didn't sound like insults, like a beast or a monster. They were in his training room, and in front of Xion was a practice dummy he had commissioned. Dreaming of a common practice dummy, he had added a sovereign-level seal matrix, which even a rank-ten sovereign would have enormous difficulties breaking.

Now, that matrix had been destroyed, and the dummy charred and turned into ashes by a speck of frozen blue fire, a mixture of Phoenix flames and the Phoenix Ice Sealer. Xion had been practicing it and knew it was possible to create it thanks to his knowledge of the original history. He also knew of its absolutely colossal power. In the entire original history, there was no more powerful technique, as it could destroy anything it touched and was the result of breaking reality and the laws of the world by combining the seeds of water and fire, two opposing concepts.

"It's very powerful, but it can't be used in combat, it's slow to create and even slower to move," Jasmine pronounced with regret. Xion smiled.

"False and false again," Xion replied with a smile. Jasmine exited the Celestial Poison Pearl and looked at him threateningly. Xion looked her in the eyes and automatically hugged and kissed her. Jasmine resisted for a second and then cooperated.

Five minutes later, they separated, but he didn't let her go.

"Explain," said Jasmine, making it clear they wouldn't fool her with a kiss. Xion nodded and took out his spatial ring, where he had stored part of the blue fire he had created.

"The creation is slow because I'm in the initial stages. But that's not a disadvantage, as this fire can be stored, and in my free time, I can create it without problems, practicing its creation and improving the speed. Then I store it to use when needed. It doesn't last long, but even if it lasts a day, that's quite something, and now it lasts several days, which is incredible. That's why the creation time doesn't affect its use in combat.

"The limitation is the amount I can use, which will be the maximum of what I have stored, but this is the ultimate destruction technique. To use something similar, many sacrifice their lives, soul, and essence, and still wouldn't come close to a destruction technique like this. So, if I can only use it once a day, that would already be amazing. All this makes your first statement false since the creation speed of Frozen Death Flames doesn't affect its use in combat," Jasmine nodded in agreement and raised an eyebrow with interest, urging him to explain his second point. Xion kissed her on the lips. Jasmine looked at him coldly, indicating he should stop wasting time.

"As for your second point, it's simpler. Look at this ring where I store the flames I've created." Jasmine observed the ring but didn't understand. Xion nodded and moved his arm so fast it seemed to disappear. Jasmine opened her eyes in surprise, immediately understanding his idea.

"You're a monster!" exclaimed Jasmine, looking at him horrified. Xion grimaced. "I'm not a monster; it's a very simple concept. If you can't move something by yourself, you just put that something into something else you can move, and there you go. That way, you can also turn the Frozen Death Flame into a long-range attack weapon, like a bullet or a cannonball, that can destroy anything in its path," explained Xion, reluctantly letting her go and drawing his sovereign-ranked heavy sword and a sealed practice dummy.

Jasmine stepped back as he used the Celestial Wolf Sword technique and opened Purgatory, also the fourth gate to access the roaring heaven realm, striking the sealed dummy once. The dummy went flying and crashed into the sealed walls with a significant impact that made them move slightly. Xion closed the opened gates and observed. There was no damage; with the strength of a rank-five tyrant, he couldn't kill a rank-ten sovereign. At most, he could do it with a rank-five in a great battle, and he would have to flee from a rank-seven.

Xion took out another practice dummy and threw it flying two hundred meters away. Then, he raised his sword again to perform the Celestial Wolf Sword technique, and once again, he opened the gates. This time, one side of the sovereign-ranked sword was filled with specks of blue flames.

Xion disappeared from his position, and the next instant, he cut the dummy, whose matrix broke the moment the specks of blue flames touched it. The impact force split the dummy, which was also made of sovereign-level materials, into two. Xion deactivated the opened gates and examined the results.

The dummy, which had been split in two, slowly turned into ashes as the blue flames stayed on both halves of the cut and infected everything. A couple of seconds later, the dummy turned to ashes.

"The sword!" exclaimed Jasmine alarmed. Xion grimaced as he saw the sovereign-ranked heavy sword turn into ashes. It was evident that the blue flames had also reached it during the attack.

"My spatial control is too weak; I couldn't keep the flames away from the sword when making the strike. I'll continue practicing with less valuable swords," said Xion with a sigh, letting go of the sword, which, despite being a sovereign artifact, had turned into ashes from the death flames.

"You used the Broken Shadow of the Star God for instant movement, spatial control to move the flames, and the Celestial Wolf Sword technique for crushing force. Three skills combined into a lethal attack," said Jasmine shuddering.

"Even a rank-10 sovereign couldn't surpass the speed of the Broken Shadow of the Star God. This is a definite killing move, a true death sentence," affirmed Xion.

Then he disappeared from his position and reappeared in front of Jasmine to embrace her again. Jasmine blinked, and Xion nodded.

"My spatial control is very limited; I've spent around thirty percent of my power to contain the flames. As long as I don't advance into the Sovereign Profound Realm, and my mastery remains weak, I can only perform this move three times in a battle. Later, when I better control spatial movement, the only limit will be the amount of Frozen Death Flames."

"I'll dedicate the last month of training to exclusively practice creating the Frozen Death Flames and the Judgment Sword," said Xion, naming his new abilities. Jasmine nodded, and Xion kissed her.

"Now, do you believe I can protect you?" asked Xion, looking into her eyes. Jasmine hugged his chest with a slight smile on her lips.
