8 Broke Off

"What…?"

After getting kicked out by his wife Xia Qingyue, 'Xiao Che' decided to take a stroll outside and found his little aunt Xiao Lingxi.

They talked about other stuff and their childhood and next thing he knew they fell asleep.

Normally, it wouldn't be a problem, after all, they are close relatives and someone that has already been together ever since they were a toddler.

But this is his wedding day!

Earlier, he wanted to impress Xia Qingyue with his medical knowledge but due to the experience last night about the mysterious figure, he decided to just clear his mind.

Fast forward, here he is, being glared down by his father-in-law.

"Xiao Che! What's the meaning of this?!" Xia Hongyi is furious. He heard that he and his aunt have a close relationship but at their wedding this boy left his daughter?!

Did he even think about what her daughter will feel?! She must've been hurting right now.

"I-I…." Before 'Xiao' Che could speak, he felt his little aunt moving beside him.

"Che'er what's happening?" Xiao Lingxi groggily opened her eyes.

After opening her eyes, she saw Xia Hongyi glaring at her. Seeing this, she panicked! She didn't mean to do anything!

"Xiao Che, I entrusted to you my daughter and this is what I'll find out?!" The anger at his chest kept rising. He was good friends with Xiao Che's father and had a close relationship with his grandfather.

Although it pained him that her daughter will marry someone that she might not love out of her own will, he still kept his promise after Xiao Che's father saved his wife.

Maybe it was out of selfishness but he regrets it now.

His wife would be definitely disappointed with him.

"Father, let Qingyue handle this." Although she felt wronged, she was gonna end the marriage anyway. There is no point on further digging down to this, Xia Qingyue is just not meant to marry anyone in this life.

"But Yue'er…" Hongyi wanted to argue but seeing his daughter's cold look be complied. Anyway, this is their problem as husband and wife… not that they would continue being one after this.

Xia Hongyi took a last glare at the two and left but before he did he said something that he almost forgotten.

"Yue'er, your master is looking for you, she said that it's very important." With that, Hongyi left. He didn't say who her master is as Xiao Che as Lingxi are still here.

Hearing this, Xia Qingyue was surprised. Her master left earlier but came back soon? Is this related to Xiao Che? Her father said it's important, so it probably involves the entire sect.

No matter, the marriage between her and Xiao Che is done after this. She would go back to Frozen Class Asgard and continue her cultivation.

Without any hurry, he continue walking from the forest to the city. Although it was far away, the feeling of vitality coursing through his body while moving around gives him a sense of delight.

He still couldn't believe that he's alive and well.

"The concept of immortality was attain after death? What an irony." He had never lost hope to achieve such a state.

He was really thankful to Xisu, a kind but foolish human.

"But I guess that's just how humans are." Remembering his subordinates. He chuckled.

He can tell that Xisu must've been a very powerful person. Looking back now, he wonder what could have caused his death? Is it a powerful adversary or it's because of his kindness?

Shaking his head, The Jade Emperor stopped thinking about it. Let the dead rest, he still have a mission to do, such as taking care of this little girl inside the Sky Poison Pearl.

From the looks of the density of the miasama around her, it would take a long time to cure her. He may have the memories of a Medical Saint but he's now aware of what kind of poison is affecting Xisu's sister.

"This will take a long time." The King stopped walking.

"As much as I want to enjoy this new life wandering around, I need to get some few things done." After saying that, he immediately burst a powerful force and fly to the sky.

Onward to the Floating Cloud City.

"Sorry for making Master wait." Xia Qingyue bowed, expressing her apology and respect.

After talking to Xiao Che about their inevitable divorce, she left immediately.

Although her and Xiao Che didn't have that much connection and interaction, her heart for some reason is aching everytime she thought of leaving him.

Maybe if she wasn't looking for her mother, she would stay and be his wife, even if it they weren't in love at first.

Unfortunately, that wasn't the case and she still have her mission.

Seeing her student, she waved her hand off, signifying Xia Qingyue to stop bowing.

"Qingyue, we have some….. urgent matters to talk to." She was embarrassed to say it. After all, she's one of the 7 Fairies in Frozen Class Asgard. Forget about a random nobody, even the other Three Major Sects in the Blue Wind Empire won't give her this disrespect.

"Is it related to the sect master?" She didn't know know what her master could consider urgent aside from the sect.

"Yes and no. I need to bring you back at the sect immediately." She's gonna be a bodyguard of someone. If possible, she wants Qingyue's affairs to be done and return immediately.

She will be gone for some time

Chu Yueli thought.

"No worries master, the marriage will be broke off and I should be free by tomorrow." Ignoring the bitter feeling in her heart. She said to her master the good news.

Hearing this, Chu Yueli's eyes lit up. She expected to wait for a month by following the agreement with her disciple.

Did something happened? No matter, this is a good thing for her. The sooner things get done the better.

"I see, Qingyue yo—" Before she finished. She felt a familiar aura behind her.

"So this is what's taking you so long huh? Little girl~"

Chu Yueli felt a majestic aura in that voice.

This is ZAX and I'm back! I know it's been a year but I've been too lazy asf to write anything and even if I did write It'll just be stuck at docs or posted in discord.

I'm gonna continue this fic since God of Highschool already ended and the new revelations in ATG novel had gave me ideas for the future plot. Just motivate me or smth and also read my other fics.

I'm not gonna edit the early chapters tho, mainly because I wrote it on WN rather than docs so it's just stuck there. If you want to edit it, up to you.

Anyways, I'm back and hope you enjoy the shitty chapter.
