18 Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace

Chu Yuechan looked at the people below. While her facial expression was indifferent, her eyes were trembling with shock.

Never before in her life did she see a Monarch. In this case two…at one place. 

She immediately understood who these people were, especially when she saw a black moon on one of the old Monsters. 

Her eyes ended up on the teenager standing next to junior sister Lingxue. 

This was the Alchemist and the Young Master of Supreme Ocean Palace.

Slowly she landed on the ground. While it made her annoyed she still needs to show her respects to a Young Master of a Sacred Ground.

"This one's name is Chu Yuechan from Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace. May I ask who you are?" The Fairy introduced herself while cupping her hand, showing her respect to him.

"I am Xiao Long from Supreme Ocean Palace." 

Hearing him say those three words made her whole being tremble. 

'So, it is him…'

Chu Yuechan internally frowned from frustration. This person here, in front of her, is the cause of her Palace decline!

That's right! Her Frozen Cloud doesn't have the sheer number to generate wealth like the other three major powers of Blue Wind Empire.

If they continue as they are they will eventually lose their ground as the second strongest power and eventually disappear into obscurity. 

Knowing the men of this place they will turn on them and turn them into their play toys eventually disappearing as a Sect altogether.

This was the prophecy her Grand Mistress has said. This made Chu Yuechan's stomach turn as they either break their rules or die…

Terrifying thought.

"It's an honour to meet the esteemed Young Master of a Sacred Ground."

The Fairy said that Mu Lingxue walked over to her and explained what happened.

What she learned made her heartbeat accelerate for a bit. She remembered what happened to Chu Yueli. Her sister was now rapidly accelerating with her cultivation. Since she has no excess ice her cultivation is swift and she will reach [Emperor Profound] faster than any other fairy.

"Young Master Xiao, I would like to invite you to Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace. You can rest there and fulfil the deal you have struck with Junior Sister Lingxue."

"Fair enough. I assume your Palace is in the middle of this region?"

"Yes."

"Then even better. Third Elder, Fifth Elder, takes us there."

""As you wish.""

The old Monsters Profound Energy surged which made Chu Yuechan gulp down.

This was a lot of power.

The Profound energy surged and encased everyone and then launched toward the direction where Chu Yuechan came from.

~~~~~~Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace~~~~~~

Gong Yuxian rushed out from the Palace when she sensed a huge avalanche of Profound Energy rushing towards them.

It was as if some sort of mystical monster was running towards them. Her body tensed as she was ready to unleash all of her power to try to stop it in some way.

Thankfully…

It was needed as she saw a group of people land inside the Palace grounds.

The Palace Mistress sighed in relief when she saw the familiar faces of Chu Yuechan and the disciples.

Though her gaze went to two old monsters and the young group of people they were with.

'This is… What a perfect opportunity!'

The Palace Mistress rushed forward to greet them.

"This one's name is Gong Yuxian, Palace Mistress of Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace. Are you perhaps the Young Master of the Supreme Ocean Palace?" 

"Indeed. My thanks for coming to greet us like this, Palace Mistress."

"It's an Honor, Young Master. May I ask why such an abrupt visit?" 

"I was invited by Fairy Chu, as I have a deal with your three disciples." He motioned toward her disciples who looked ruffled and slightly hurt.

"...I understand. May I talk with them first?"

"It's fine."

Hearing all clear Gong Yuxian approached the trio.

"Lingxue, Wushuang, Xuexin, what happened?" 

The trio swiftly explained their encounter with a. strong Profound Beast.

Internally the Palace Mistress cursed the amount of Fairies she has. 

All of the fairies are busy making money to buy pills, she even needed to pull Chu Yuechan out of her cultivation. 

This was why she needed to use Mu Lingxue to help with training towards The Blue Wind Tournament even if she was not [Sky Profound].

"I understand. This is a fortunate encounter. If possible try gaining more benefits from the Young Master." 

Not fully understanding what the Palace Mistress meant, the trio slowly nodded. 

After saying that Gong Yuxian walked to Chu Yuechan.

"Chan'er try gaining favours with Young Master. You know what is hanging on these favours."

The Frozen Beauty stiffly nodded her head. She has no idea how to approach this…

Seeing her daughter-like figure nodding at her, the Palace Mistress moved slightly to the side and watched how Xiao Long started to talk with the three fairies.

"First, let's scan the poison,"  I said with a slightly excited tone. Finally some sort of challenge. 

The first one to move was the slightly taller fairy by the name of Shui Wushuang.

"Give me your hand." 

The fairy slowly nodded and showed me her dandy hand.

I gently took it and started to inspect her profound veins. I was slightly surprised that she has 14 entrances. Her talent is not bad. She might be able to reach late [Sky Profound] by the Frozen Cloud Palace standards.

After finding the poison I proceeded to channel purifying energy. 

The process was not that long as the poison had not set in. 

A few short moments later I proceeded to collect a few amounts of ice she had in her Profound Veins.

'This is quite a little… I should take it from the older members of the Palace.' 

Once I was done I looked at the fairy, she was breathing heavily there was heavy blush on her cheeks.

"Done," I said while letting her hand go. The fairy stiffly nodded and wobbly took a few steps back. 

The other two fairies and the older two looked at me weirdly.

Honestly, this was weird, these women are proud and don't like men. Yet, here I am inside their sanctuary. I feel quite weird being here. 

"Next one."

The shorter fairy walked over and offered her hand as well.

I was done with her a few minutes later and she was just like any other fairy, she was blushing and slightly wobbly on her feet.

"Done. Now it's your turn, Fairy Mu."

The black-haired Fairy with a ponytail slightly nodded at me and took a few steps toward me and then offered her hand.

I scanned her Profound Veins after taking her hand.

'Fourteen entrances, though her entrance composition is as good as fifteen entrances.'

"Impressive, the way your profound entrances are as fast as someone with fifteen entrances." 

"...My thanks for the compliment, Young Master Xiao, but this was not enough for me to win even if I had the highest cultivation base in the previous tournament." 

Oh, I see, she was the one who beat Fen Juecheng but lost against Ling Yun.

"I see."

Nodded, and realised what I see in her, she was like my maid and my wife. She wants power but for something more than just pure selfishness. My Wife wants to go to the Realm of Gods to see her mother while my maid wants to avenge Xiao Che.

People like these have more than just a simple drive, they are dedicated and will take that extra mile. 

Since Mu Lingxue didn't have poison I simply collected the ice from her. She had slightly more ice but not that much.

"Done. I have opened one more Profound entrance to balance the entrances." 

At that moment the Fairy shivered as she heard that she had two more profound entrances. 

"...Many thanks, Young Master Xiao! Is there any way I could repay such kindness?" She asked me with a barely controlled expression.

This is where a certain emotion started to rise inside of me. Should I try to pull some emotions out of her? 

"When such a beautiful fairy wording like this…"

Mu Lingxue's eyes widened as she was about to explain herself.

"Why don't you assist me with something…"

Her cheeks started to heat up as her mouth opened, the fairy tried to say something to me but nothing was coming out. She simply nodded at me instead.

Does this mean I can ask anything and she will do it? That sounds quite easy…

"Since you agreed then I will be in your care, I need to find out whatever is growing in this place. From grasses, herbs to minerals. It would be better if you show me some unique landscapes in which unique vegetation grows."

"...eh?"

"Hmm?" Her reaction made me smirk. It was simply priceless.

"Did you think I would ask something…more…serious?" 

This time she turned utterly red.

"...Miss Fairy. My husband loves to tease, don't take it to heart." At that moment I heard the voice of my wife as her hand elegantly hugged my waist. 

Mu Lingxue slowly nodded her head. She was ashamed and looked like a tomato. It was particularly visible with her pale skin.

Mu Lingxue sighed in relief and disappointment. The fairy was shocked that the Young Master of a Sacred Ground would find her interesting. 

The feeling that he was teasing her was particularly bitter. But at the same time another one was there, and the duty to her Palace. But it was starting to feel like a jumbled mess.

Her Palace wants to gain favours from such a person but what could she offer? Be a tour guide? Possible but what would it be worth?

One or two pills? Even if she gets them they will be added to the Palace storage area and given to the fairies which need them the most. 

In the end, she can't come up with anything and It only makes her angry with herself. 

"Lingxue, it's amazing! He opened two of your entrances! You have the potential to reach Late [Emperor Profound] or even [Tyrant Profound]!" Palace Mistress said with a tranquil tone, but there was some happiness underneath it.

"Yes, Palace Mistress… but…how do we gain his favours? Having more entrances is important…but…"

"...You are right, Lingxue, this is a difficult time for our Palace. You must be assertive, if he is talking with your finding interest you must keep the conversation going."

The Fairy looked confused when she heard that coming from Palace Mistress. Even Chu Yuechan was next to the Palace Mistress who was confused similarly to Mu Lingxue.

"But…Mistress, it's Palace rules… we should not interact with males beyond the minimum required…" The Frozen Beauty said with a lost look.

"Indeed, but as I said before. We do not have much of a choice. Grand Mistress agreed that we should adjust our rules." As Gong Yuxian said, she looked at Mu Lingxue.

"Then…if Young Master Xiao finds me interesting… what should I do?" The younger Fairy asked the Palace Mistress. She was at a loss.

"..."

"..."

Both Frozen Beauty and The Palace Mistress needed time to think. 

"...It depends… we can't demand anything, Supreme Ocean Palace can cover the sky easily with their might. But if you do anything then Frozen Cloud will be with you all the way." Gong Yuxian said with a slow nod. This made Mu Lingxue's emotions surge as she understood what this meant… she is feeling strange about the concept of breaking rules…for the benefit of the Palace?

While Chu Yuechan who was standing by the side was having a strange surge of her own emotions, she had no way to identify what was going on.

All she could feel is something ugly rising in her gut. 

She looked away and snorted internally, sure… whatever…

"Young Master Xiao, we are honoured to have you here. Is there a way Frozen Cloud could assist you? Lingxue told me that you are interested in grasses, herbs, and plants growing in the Snow Region of Extreme Ice." Palace Mistress said with barely hidden excitement.

"Yes. Your Palace is situated in the middle of the region. It would work well as a base for me, at least for a few days as I need to return to the clan soon. I still have a meeting with the Phoenix Emperor." 

I said to her as we were having a quick meeting after I fixed up the pair of Fairies and helped Lingxue with her Profound Veins.

"Of course! Anything to help you, Young Master Xiao. Lingxue will help with anything you need. She will be your guide." 

These females sure are ambiguous with their words. If I was a little bit more perverted I would take this the wrong way…

"My thanks Palace Mistress." 

After talking to the Palace Mistress, Mu Lingxue proceeded to show me around the Palace Grounds. My group attracted quite a bit of attention as the fairies looked at us with awe.

Through one gaze I could not place my finger on. It was from Chu Yuechan. She was looking at me with a strange heated look.

It was strange because I can place it. Was it anger? Hate? Curiosity? Need? I could not place it even with my cultivation.

As I said before, and I will say it again, Women are strange!

"I assume that you don't have proper staying quarters?" I asked Mu Lingxue after checking out the whole grounds.

The way this place is built is quite interesting as this place is a natural array.

Or more precisely the way it was built. It's like a natural well where Ice Profound Energy and Water Profound Energy seamlessly drop and gather in this place. 

One thing for sure is that Mu Bingyun knew the basics of Array deployment.

"Apologies Young Master Xiao, but…Frozen Cloud is purely built from Ice Profound Energy. We don't have quarters for guests who don't practise our Frozen Cloud Arts."

"Hmm… in that case I will build something for myself." As I said that an idea popped into my mind. I started to build up on this idea.

"...As you wish. I can find a spot for you." 

"My thanks."

My group followed the fairy as well as walked to an open area.

Not far from here were rows of ice houses. Still, there is some distance from here to these houses. So we will have our privacy.

"This is the place. If you need anything don't hesitate to contact me." The fairy said while cupping her fist.

"And how will I contact you?" I asked the obvious…

"..."

She pulled out her communication talisman.

"T-This is my communication talisman, you can add me to the contact list."

"Very well."

After getting the contact details, the fairy left us alone. 

"These Frozen Cloud fairies are quite awkward." Xiao Lingxi said after being left alone.

"I am still surprised that they so easily cooperate with us." Xia Dongling said from the side of my wife.

"They want my husband's things. They are willing to bend their rules for it." Xia Qingyue said with a slightly haughty look.

"And you didn't Yue'er?" I asked with a smirk.

"I did. And I am not hiding that. Though they don't have much to offer. They discarded many things which would make men interested in them." What she said meant that they are not selling themselves for wealth… 

I don't know about that. Women can be strange sometimes, emotional beings, and suppressed emotions can be unpredictable when they are unleashed.

"For now cultivate for a bit. This place has potent Profound Energy. I will be using my arrays to build a temporary shelter."

"As you wish, husband."

I pulled out my calligraphy tools and some of the purified iron and proceeded to write. 

What I am thinking is slightly complex and at the same time portable. Taking small four pieces of iron, I wrote on them a barrier related formula.

This was purely a test. 

And I failed the first few times. It was either translucent or too bendy. 

Though eventually, I got a wall, a straight wall. After channelling some Fire Profound Energy a wall that was like glass transformed into a red wall. Not only that but it emits heat. 

'A Perfect way to have a heated wall and a ceiling.'

Since it was a success I started to work around this specific formula. Or a sentence, it's like working on an essay around a singular sentence.

After getting a wall I proceeded to carve a flooring, then walls, and finally a ceiling. 

It was red… and it stands out like a sore thumb in this sea of blue and white.

"What do you think, girls?" 

"..."

"...I like the red." My wife said with a nod. 

"It stands out too much." my maid said with a small frown.

"It does but it will keep you warm, you won't need to cloak yourself in Profound Energy all the time to stay warm," I explained to the trio.

"Oh… I see…"

"Though I am not done. I still need to improve on this."

As I said that I proceeded to improve the box-like room I made.

Since I knew the formula it was not as hard, only needed some more items to expand the box into several rooms.

In just a few hours I had a small house where we could stay.

Once I was done we walked inside to check it out.

"... It's too bright. Is there a way to make this darker?" My maid pointed out the obvious.

"I will see what I can do. I still need to see if I can add windows and some sort of light source." I said while looking around the small house which has two rooms.

"...This is interesting. The walls are warm and it's made from pure Profound Energy." Xia Qingyue inspected the walls and the ground.

"Yes. This is still not that impressive as this is just a basic array deployment."

All three nodded at me.
