The Princess

Young Master Xiao has left his clan only two times! Yet, each time he caused ripples throughout the whole Blue Wind Empire!" A sickly voice spoke from the bed.

The bed was exquisite and luxurious looking. Just as it should be as this was the bed of the Emperor of Blue Wind Empire Cang Wanhe.

"What do you need me to do, Your Highness?" A voice said from somewhere inside the room.

"Send a messenger to Yue'er. Tell her to drop whatever she is doing and that she should move with haste to the Xiao Clan.

"We can't be blind to whatever Xiao Clan and their Young Master are doing."

"...Is this wise, Your Majesty? Xiao Clan won't be listening to what the Blue Wind Imperial family says…"

"We don't expect them to do so. What we need is for someone to notify us of what is happening in that clan. It's far too remote and sending someone of lower standing would be disrespectful."

"Very well."

After the arrangements were made, the Emperor returned to his rest.

The Ruler of the Blue Wind Empire was just one of many who were spooked by Xiao Long's actions.

In other words, they would prefer to know some of his actions instead of being blind.

Simply put, knowing his patterns would be appreciated. So far they don't have anything substantial about him.

The only thing Cang Wanhe knows is that the boy is engaged to Princess Snow, the Princess of the Divine Phoenix Empire. It was rumoured that she was the jewel of the Empire, yet, it happened because of his sheer Alchemy abilities.

Regardless, this isn't enough for the Emperor to predict anything.

While the Emperor was thinking of means to make his family's Empire survive, the Sects and Clans were thinking of something similar.

They all are extra cautious.

"This is the cave…"

"...He even took the [Sky Profound] Dragon that was living here." One of the Elders of Burning Heaven Clan said with an impressed tone.

"Apart from that small hole outside, there are no signs of fighting.

"Just how short was the fight…" Fen Moli, the Great Elder of Heaven Burning Clan said with a small frown.

A few minutes later, more Sky Profound Elders arrived.

"Great Elder, there is not a single Profound Beast in leagues…"

The old man frowned when he heard that.

'That Young Master used Monarchs for such trivial actions… my clan should be cautious when engaging with him…'

Fen Moli thought to himself as he looked around for a bit more.

"Very well. I saw what I needed to see. Let's return to the clan."

"Yes, Great Elder."

After checking the Crimson Dragon Mountain Range. the group from Burning Heaven Clan flew back to the Clan.

They need to think of a way to get into the good graces of the Xiao Clan if they want to survive.

This became obvious when they saw what happened to the whole Mountain range.

All the while, the Xiao Sect has been in a similar situation as Heaven Burning Clan as well.

Only, they were on edge because of their connection to the Xiao Clan.

They had been trying to infiltrate, bribe, and join the clan. The issue was that it was difficult, because anyone who joins that clan stopped reporting to the main Xiao Sect!

In other words, they used Sect's resources to join the Xiao Clan! After joining they don't even respond to messages or requests!

"Sect Master… a message from Xiao clan!" A Deacon rushed into the main Xiao Sect's hall!

The elders and the Sect Master stopped whatever they were discussing and motioned to bring in the message.

The Deacon walked over and handed over the scroll to the Sect Master who started to read it.

Xiao Juetian's face turned pale as he was…terrified after reading it.

"...They learned…they learned that we have been trying to infiltrate the Clan… all the bribery…everything…" The Xiao Sect Master said with shaking hands.

"This should be impossible… How swiftly did the loyalties change!?

What kind of persuasive power does this clan have!?

Even IF the clan is related to a Sacred Ground… they only care about the most talented individuals… Do they have better things to offer than Xiao Sect? Does Xiao Long share his enormous wealth with the Clan to that degree!?

Nothing makes sense to the Sect Master. It's like this clan is an anomaly!!!

"What is Xiao Clan demanding?" One of the Elders asked with a frown. This was big… this is very big… a Single Overlord is enough to make their Sect cease to exist…and the Young Master has two Monarchs.

"Xiao Sect is to disband and the remnant has to be absorbed into Xiao Clan at the lowest of ranks…

"In other words…we will be reduced to cleaners in Xiao Clan."

Xiao Juetian said, a sour look on his face, like he had just bitten into a lemon.

"...This…"

"Everyone dismissed! I will speak about this with the Great Sect Master!"

The Sect Master swiftly demanded everyone to leave the hall. Once everyone was gone he proceeded to throw a temper tantrum.

So far all his plans end up ruined and now Xiao Clan is demanding for them to disband!!!

How did it end up like this!?

~~~~~~Earlier with Xiao Long~~~~~~
Once I was back from my taming dragon trip, my excitement was all-time high!
I have over several thousand Profound beast corpses!!! Sure they are weak, between [Nascent Profound] and [True Profound], but they have their uses.
My destination was my mansion.
I swiftly noticed how… clean the place was.
'I should do this more often. Make them excited for those small gifts…girls always love gifts.'
As I entered inside, the place was working like a well-oiled machine.
The girls who were not working were cultivating. For this, I used a modern rotation scheme back from Earth. In other words, this way they can be efficient either way, and I can have a bigger maid force.
"Young Master!"
"Oh! Young Master is back!"
The maids rushed forward and lined-up for me.
"Welcome Back Young Master Xiao!"
They all said in unison.
"Not bad. You girls have been working hard. I approve of such an effort."
The group nodded at the same time.
"Young Master, was your trip successful?" One of the maids asked curiously.
For that, I raised my right hand and showed the tattoo.
"I was able to persuade the dragon to join my cause," I said with a smile, this made them smile at me as well.
"As expected from Young Master, not many can resist your charms."
"Indeed." I nodded at her compliment, before proceeding to walk.
"Now, as promised, the reward. Which of you have succeeded in having a breakthrough while I was away?"
My question got many of them disappointed.
"...I was able to have a breakthrough, Young Master." The one who got my attention was Mu Lingxue. There was a blush on her cheeks as well.
"...oh? As expected of my Lingxue. Come over, we will be spending time together for the remainder of the day."
The moment I said that, I could see how devastated the rest of them were.
How cute. Maybe next time they will try harder.
~~~

The next day I took all of my maids to the warehouse area.

"I have brought over several thousand Profound beasts. You girls will be helping me in processing them. Separating blood, Profound Core and meat."

"T-Thousands!?"

"Yes."

"While you will be doing this, I will be working on some Arrays. Which will assist you eventually."

"...U-Understood…"

They all looked quite pale. Sorry girls, but not everything is easy here.

Internally, I rolled my eyes. I guess living in a manor and doing casual things can make them lazy.

"Fifth Elder." I gave the command.

The old man motioned and space opened up, dropping down a mountain of dead beasts.

The maids looked dumbstruck seeing how big it was.

"Think of this as training. Work in groups, the one who has done the most rendering will get a pill from me."

Sure enough… It was enough of an enticement for them to work extra hard.

I could only roll my eyes as I proceeded to walk into my warehouse and start working on…

Automation…

Yes, it's the perfect time to try out arrays in the form of automation. Automating the process of making the most basic pills and rendering the Profound Beasts.

This way we would have more time to cultivate and work on more important and harder pills.

To begin this, I went over and started with the most basic grasses. The Profound Energy Sensitivity Grass.

I first proceeded to draw a small circle on a sheet of paper with ink.

The idea is to reverse engineer alchemy. This means there are three stages. Turning the pill into liquid essence, then compressing, and eventually solidifying into a pill.

This is just a test run, so I started with playing around with array concepts, the form and how to make one flow to another.

'Oh, right… like those processing machines…'

In the middle of this I got an idea of how to render the beast… in the most efficient way possible…

'Like always… it's easier to come up with ways to break down stuff instead of creating them…'

So here's how it is.

The main array circle is where you put the beast on. It breaks down into parts… specifically three main parts: the blood, the meat and the core.

These parts will be sent out into three extra arrays for pickup. What is left in the main array is the bones and other junk…

Extremely simple and not complex.

For this Wind Profound Energy will be used.

After a few tries to draw the array, it was ready. It was made from Barrier art and looked like a portable summoning ritual site.

'Now, to test this out.'

I walked outside and looked at the slightly smaller mountain of Profound Beast's corpses.

With a hand I motioned one of the [Nascent Profound] beasts' corpses to fly down and follow me, I took it back inside the warehouse.

Once there, I put it into the array circle and kick-started it.

The runes started to glow…

*BOOM*

The body exploded as it was shredded to bits by the Wind Profound Energy. The Core was damaged so it exploded…

'Thankfully I prepared the barrier walls beforehand.'

"...Young Master?"

"It's fine. I tried something out. You girls can return to your work."

"...Okay…"

After sending them back, I went over to check the texts I wrote on the walls.

'I guess I need a few more paragraphs, be more specific…

'However, this would mean that the rendering will be specific…in other words, if the fur or scales are too strong the rendering array would need to be upgraded. Sounds…very cultivation-ish…

'No matter how much you try… your stuff will still be part of the pyramid of power…'

Keeping that in mind, I rearranged the power and technique part and brought in another [Nascent Profound] Profound Beast.

This time it didn't explode. Instead I got a ball of cut flesh. At least the blood absorption array picked up the blood this time…

 With partial success, I proceeded to develop in this direction.

And time went on…

The rendering array was finished a few days later and the maids were relieved with this 'invention'. The one which won was a group of Phoenix girls who beat the others, including the Twins.

So as promised, they got some pills which helped them jump in their cultivation. Getting closer to that late [Sky Profound].

Then of course…something has to happen… How can a Young Master live his life without some issues appearing?

"Yes? What is it?" I looked at the Second Elder who is responsible for the Law and Justice of the Clan.

"Young Master, I bring disturbing news."

"Oh? Did something come up? I assume it has something to do with newcomers."

"As wise as ever!"

'it wouldn't be a cultivation world if there was no ass kissing at least a few times per day… though I prefer hearing this from beauties…'

"It came to my attention that Sects and clans are sending people to infiltrate our clan. They did this because we are still new and our clan is on the rise."

"I see. I assume you heard this from the people which you captured?"

"Not at all. I heard this from people who came to us on their own, to tell the truth."

I frowned when I heard this. Betrayal for greater fortune… nothing new…

Though how should I approach this…

Both parties need to be punished…

"Gather the list of people who betrayed their previous clans and sects.

"None of these will get purifying pills for several years."

"...Understood."

"Now for another matter, which sects and clans did they betray?"

This time around my granduncle pulled out a scroll and handed it over to me.

When I opened there was quite a list…

There were a lot of names of sects and clans I have never seen or heard before…but there were a few familiar names…

'Heavenly Spear Thunderfire Fortress…the only thing I recall about them is that they like blowing themselves up… or was it because they put all those bombs on their bodies…

'And then of course…

'Naughty…naughty…

'It appears Xiao Sect can't simply forget about us… I thought we settled things but they just keep on coming…'

"Young Master?"

"There are only two Sects which are worthy of notice. The Thunderfire Fortress and Xiao Sect.

The rest are insignificant and not worth mentioning."

"Understood. What should we do with these Sects?"

Thinking for a bit, the Thunderfire Sect is interesting because of their thunder and fire mix arts… while Xiao Sect? They have a 'special' place in my heart.

"We will deal with Thunderfire Sect, while Xiao Sect… we will send a message to them."

The elder stiffly nodded at me.

"... Understood."

~~~~~~Cang Yue~~~~~~
The Princess of Blue Wind Empire was relieved to finally leave New Moon City's Profound Palace. The City's Young Master Murong Ye was starting to get on her nerves.
Regardless, her Royal Father had a mission for her so she with all haste left the New Moon City and moved towards the Floating Cloud City in the East at the edge of the continent.
This was the first time she will go to such a corner of the Blue Wind Empire. But this was not on her mind.
What she is worried about is the future of her family.
Xiao Clan's actions were quite—
That moment she saw several streaks of light blast past her…
The sheer power of these… people…
'Thrones???'
Cang Yue gulped down nervously as she saw three powerful cultivators rushing somewhere away from Floating Cloud City…
This made her gulp nervously! Thankfully they completely ignored her.
Though this has terrified her Profound Beast…
"Calm down… it's alright… they have passed us…" The Princess patted her bird.
She was not the only one whose beast got spooked. Her guard Qin Wuyou was the same. His bird was in a similar state.
"Princess, are you alright?"
"Y-Yes. What was that?"
"I don't know… but their power…is way above regular Thrones…"
Her guard words only made her more nervous. Did Young Master Xiao send them somewhere?
Regardless, thinking about this wasn't going to help anyone. So they proceeded to fly towards Floating Cloud City.
~~~

Cang Yue looked at the city below her… it wasn't as big or fancy…

But it still blew her mind away…

The reason for that was the number of people cultivating and standing behind the Xiao Clan gates…

"Elder Qin…I assume the Xiao Clan knows we are coming?"

"Yes. The message has been sent with the Emperor's signature on it. We should have no issues landing inside their territory."

The Princess slowly nodded, this was for the best she doesn't want to provoke this growing powerhouse.

As the birds landed inside Xiao Clan territory they were greeted by an elder and his guards.

"Princess Cang Yue, welcome to Xiao Clan. Clan Leader Li is waiting for you." The elder motioned for the pair to follow him.

The pair nodded and recalled their Profound Beasts. They started to follow the Elder.

While they were walking they looked around. What is standing out the most is the amount of Profound Energy in the air.

It was above what they have in Imperial City's Profound Palace. Though Qin Wuyou was more nervous with obvious Monarchs his senses picked up…

Well, it should be Monarchs as they are like vortexes of powers which blind his senses…

Apart from that, he could sense [Sky Profound], [Emperor Profound] beings… with such a line-up… this Clan is already considered one of the top Blue Wind Empire's powerhouses…excluding the Monarchs…

A few minutes later, Cang Yue was in front of the Xiao Clan Leader and Grandfather of Xiao Long…

"Cang Yue greets Xiao Clan Leader Xiao Li." The Princess respectfully greeted the Clan Leader, same with her bodyguard.

"What can I do for you, Princess Cang Yue? The request to meet came out of nowhere."

For a second the Princess stiffened but then she pulled out a scroll.

"My Royal Father has written this message, he asked me to hand this over to you in person."

The Princess walked over and handed the message to Xiao Li.

The Clan Leader opened the scroll and started to read the contents.

A few moments later it was done and he looked perplexed.

"I wasn't aware that your family is at such…crossroads."

"...the court affairs mostly stay in the capital, Clan Leader Xiao."

"I see…and what about you? Are you aware of what is in this letter?"

His question didn't even make her change her expression.

"Cang Yue is well aware of what it means to be a Princess of an Empire."

"I see…"
