91 The Demon Girls

The Ex-Empress realised that she was overthinking. She thought there was a large scheme in which the Young Master was plotting for her Continent.

Turns out all he wants is her.

Nothing complex. In the end, she decided to play along. There was no need to be stubborn anymore.

"Well? You want to do it in your workshop?" The black-haired girl asked him as she looked around. There was a couch over there.

"No, I have a room prepared for such a thing."

Huan Caiyi rolled her eyes. Of course, he does. The guy invented Dual Cultivation Art. Not the evil version of it but the genuine deal.

It's quite something. She should praise him, but it would sound strange.

"Then what are we waiting for?"

"Someone is impatient." Xiao Long teased her when he saw how she was acting.

"Yes, I am. I want to see the effects in person."

The beauty from Illusory Demon Continent won't tell him that she has a complex when it comes to her height and assets.

So fixing her body is something she wants to do. Especially when she realised what he truly wanted.

As he said that he motioned her to follow him.

The moment they left the workshop Xiao Long picked her up and proceeded to fly off towards the Cultivation Tower.

This was the first time Huan Caiyi saw the Tower from the air like this.

"...This is not a natural wonder is it?" She asked him as she realised how strange this place was.

"Xiao Island originally was just land in the far east in the Blue Wind Empire. The strongest person in this place was a mere peak [Spirit Profound].

It was a land in a forgotten corner of a forgotten Empire. As you can imagine it was nothing more than land around a mountain." He pointed at the mountain. The mountain was no longer just a mountain as the peak was cut off, and it was radiating Sword Intent. Around the mountain, different buildings look like pavilions meant for swordsmanship training.

"This doesn't make sense. You say that this was built in a matter of a few short years?" She asked with a complex look.

"Indeed. You saw how quickly we can build now." He said that with a smirk. Xiao Long is proud of his men who are becoming top-class builders.

She didn't say anything as they proceeded to land in the Cultivation Tower.

Once they landed in front of the entrance he lowered her and allowed her to stand on her own two feet.

The corridors of the tower are built outside this way to have maximum space inside the tower.

As they entered the hall. One of the walls has an image of the Cultivation tower which shows who is inside the tower. One could say this is a monitoring 'computer'. Well, it's more like Formation with a Formation Core.

Regardless, there are a pair of girls who run this place.

They are making sure people don't overstay their time. And that Formation is just perfect for monitoring and keeping time.

The Hall's biggest attraction is not the wall with formations but the large azure egg placed behind several barriers.

"The Azure Dragon God egg. The Dragon is still years away from hatching. Unlike the Phoenix which is just a few months away." Xiao Long explained to her as he saw how she was looking at the egg.

"I see. Shall we continue?" Huan Caiyi simply nodded at his words. There is no point for her to freak out. She heard about the Gods before. But seeing in person it is…impressive. But she is not here for that.

"Indeed."

He took the Ex-Empress hand and proceeded to walk towards the stairs.

The pair of girls who are maintaining the Tower simply blushed when they saw their Young Master here with a new girl. They know what is going to happen to that poor girl.

Even if she is a middle stage Monarch it can only help a little bit.

As the pair walked up to the top floors Xiao Long opened the doors with a talisman.

The place was simple, it was not just a room as Huan Caiyi had expected, it was more like a house…

There are several rooms in this place.

As the Young Master closed the doors behind him they could not hear the water falling behind them anymore. The room is fully sealed from the outside.

He walked towards her and then hugged the Ex-Empress behind her.

"We can stay here until you reach peak Monarch. What do you think?" He asked her with a smirk.

His suggestion made her trample as she realised that this could potentially take a while.

"E-Even with all The Profound Entrances open… I-It could take several years!"

"Please~ You have no idea how powerful art is. Do try to sense the Profound energy in the air. You could reach the peak of the Monarch in this place in less than two years.

Without Dual Cultivation."

As he said that he picked her up and then walked over to the bed before dropping her off.

"Now let's see what I can learn from you~"

For some reason, Huan Caiyi felt a shiver passing through her body.

Not that she showed on her face. While she wanted to show her indifference the girl could not hide her growing blush.

It took a while but the Twelve Guardian Families realised that a new era was starting.

Yes. The families realised that they had new opportunities. A Sect was ruling them, not an Imperial Family. A Sect means that people can join. Learn their arts and eventually help the families from which they have originated.

The most opportunistic families quickly realised this and proceeded to move out.

The Elf Clan who have a deep connection to nature, are well-known for their abilities to heal. So it's not a surprise that the Elves want to join the Medical Hall. They have seen the Healing tanks and what they can do.

If they learn from this they can improve their art. They might have stayed neutral in all the recent politics but they have their desires to get stronger as well.

The arrival of the Supreme Cloud Sect in a way was a blessing for them. Now they can improve their art.

The current leader of the Elf Clan, Tianxia Xiongtu has sent several clan men to join the Sect. The process was smooth, the reason for this is because the Illusory Demon Continent was the Sect's jurisdiction.

With a few simple checkups which Include the uses of artefacts, the elves were inside the sect.

A few short weeks later some of them returned to give a report.

"...Clan Leader. The Sect was much more than we have innately thought it would be.

From cultivation to resources to artefacts, to Profound Arts. It's many years more developed than the illusory Demon Continent."

The head elf slowly nodded after hearing the explanation.

"I have a full list of things one can do in the sect."

The younger elf handed over the list and waited for the clan leader to read through it.

"...this is… what kind of existence is this Sect!?"

"...Clan Leader… I would like to return to the sect after this." The elf cheekily asked. There is no way he wants to return to the boring Elf Clan!

"Hmm… It is fine. I am more interested in the Young Master. Is there a way to get favours from him?"

That was the true goal of Tianxia Xiongtu, when the Young Master owed a favour, his clan could potentially prosper.

Simple means to be in a favourable position. His clan always was respected by the other eleven guardian families, even the Royal family had them in high regard.

The Clan Leader wants the same thing in this new era under the Supreme Cloud Sect.

"Difficult to say. Young Master is the centrepiece of the Sect. All of the major achievements are his doing. His genius is so terrifying that he can even bring people back to life.

When the Sect was on the rise in the Sky Profound Continent all the powers wanted to win favours from him.

Not many succeed, the only lucky ones were the early ones. But I was able to find out that he likes collecting. Either it will be girls, weapons or strange artefacts."

The Elf Leader frowned upon hearing that. It did make some sense. Such a being would most likely have everything he wants.

"...However, I do believe we have the opportunity. The Medical Hall and the Alchemy Hall could potentially gain something from us.

Our unique Profound Energy nature is something they don't have."

"...I see…"

"...Apart from that, I do believe the Young Master would be pleased with a few elf maids in his maid collection."

"...Hmm… I will think about this. You may leave."

Once the elf left the Clan Leader frowned for a bit. It appears this will be more difficult than he had thought originally.

From his understanding, while Elf Clan could help those two halls it's only a matter of time before some sort of artefact is created to replicate their inborn natural affinity.

This only leads to one possible direction and that is to concentrate on those two halls. This is quite simple, just don't make them think that they need those artefacts.

It should solve the issue.

Tianxia Xiongtu didn't realise that someone was listening to the conversation. A blonde girl with long ears was just behind the doors listening to everything closely.

She used her Wind Profound Arts to make sure no one sensed her and no one picked up her smell.

The reason for her listening in is that she wants vengeance of her own.

For better or worse she found out something else!

'He can bring people back to life!?'

This was what she was looking for! She will be his maid! After a while, she might be able to ask him to resurrect Yun Xiao!

With a new course of action, the girl left the corner where she was listening and walked back to her room.

Time to think about how to approach this!

The Elf Clan was not the only one. The other families were on the move as well.

The rumour about Young Master's collector personality was not ignored by the Guardian Families.

The demon families especially are excited about this prospect as Young Master has shown interest in the Demons who live on this continent.

The Bai family, whose true form is that of the Cloud Winged White Tiger and the Chiyang family, whose true form is the Scorching Sunfire Dragon, send their eldest daughters to join the Sect in hopes that Xiao Long will notice them.

Though they didn't realise that Young Master indeed had noticed them. Well more likely already had intentions to see them.

The reason is that in general, he is interested in Demon Transformation.

He wants to figure out how this works so that he can transform or acquire some sort of passive improvements.

'I don't think this is a great idea.' Bai Jie. A tall white-haired girl with blue eyes looked at her companion. Next to her was a girl who was opposite to her.

She had crimson hair and crimson yellow eyes, one could even see that her skin had a tint of red as well. Unlike Bai Jie, Chiyang Yanwu had an aura of arrogance and pride. She was barely 23 years old but she was already at the middle stages of Overlord.

Her arrogance is understandable IN the Illusory Demon Continent.

But in the Supreme Cloud Sect?

'I hope she doesn't provoke anyone.' The White Tiger girl sighed to herself. She has an objective from her father. Her family pride is on the line.

As well as the future hopes.

Her family has already sent some people to join the Sect. To figure out the system and the way it's run.

After all, the Sect's actions were quite alien to the residents of Illusory Demon Continent.

What they learned made people somewhat panic as the Sect doesn't put much emphasis on Profound Talents.

With the way things are they could join the Profound Hall which is the main fighting force. This would make them just one of the thousands of people who fight on the front line.

Going from the twelve most important families in her continent to one of the many nameless people? That's a massive demotion.

The pair of girls were in the line waiting for admission to the Sect.

They have to mingle with the rest of the normal and random people.

One of the main challenges to joining the sect is that you know how to fly. This means that you have to be at least [Sky Profound]. The other requirement is to check talent. Unlike in Illusory Demon Continent, they don't check Profound Veins.

What they check is inborn talent. Like Alchemy, Sword, Spear or some other things.

"Why do we have to deal with this?" The dragon girl sighed with annoyance.

"Because there is no faster way for us to join."

"This Sect truly is looking down on everyone here." The Crimson Dragon girl said with a frown, She was feeling quite stuffed as she was dressed in proper robes, unlike her usual get-up.

Her kind being on fire and dressed in stuffed clothes only makes them feel hot. Regardless, just like Bai Jie, she has her mission from her father. For her pride, she won't fail!

"They are the strongest force in this world. Why should they not act however they want?"

"I know that much. But you don't mind?"

"I don't have an opinion on this matter. I am more interested in learning whatever they are going to teach us in the Sect."

She said that while gazing at the surroundings. They were in Floating Cloud City. This city is located on Xiao Island. The Core Island of this Sect.

So far she was perplexed by the way things are built. Everywhere is Profound energy, Artefacts and other things.

The very culture of this place is far different from Demon Imperial City.

"Both of us have consumed the Obedience Pills. I hope you remember what happened in the Helian family."

Chiyang Yanwu paled for a second as she remembered that people here could kill them with simple words!

"Yes, I know."

A few hours later the line shrunk and the pair were closer to massive gates that said 'Supreme Cloud'. There were several elders there who were admitting new members to join the Sect.

"Wa!!! Big sis! Your hair is so beautiful!"

"!?"

The pair of girls from Guardian families looked around. They didn't see anything. That was until they looked up.

What they saw was a pair of girls who looked like twins.

'Their cultivation… what are they!?'

The pair were dressed in Core Disciple robes.

Sure enough, they landed in front of Bai Jie. They had sparkling eyes.

"Sis, I have never seen such white colour hair before!"

"I know! This continent is full of interesting people!"

The pair were making a scene without a care in the world.

"Umm…who are you two?"

The White Tiger girl was somewhat confused with the whimsical behaviour of these two.

"Oh! Right! I am Feng Hanyue."

"And I am Feng Hanxue!"

'Feng? Are they from Feng Island? But isn't Feng Island the Fire Island? Why do I sense bone-chilling coldness and heat at the same time from them?'

"We are from the Young Master's household!"

'I don't believe that! These two are with Young Master Xiao Long. They are weird!' Chiyang Yanwu frowned with annoyance. How can these two weird girls be useful to him!?

"Anyway! Big sis, how is your hair this white and beautiful? We have seen crimson and gold before but never such pure white!" One of the twins with sparkling eyes asked.

"...Umm…this is my natural hair. I am a Cloud Winged White Tiger."

"Whoa! A tiger! The Young Master has a couple of dragons. Yan Long is a grumpy Fire Dragon who likes to nap a lot and the Flood Dragon is in Paradise Island with his mate. They are keeping the waters clean."

The pair of girls from the Guardian Families looked at each other for a bit. These two? How casual are they!?

"I-I see…"

"Hmm? Are you two thinking of joining the Sect?"

"Yes. Our Patriarchs think if we can join the Sect we could reach power beyond anyone can reach in the Continent." Bai Jie said after thinking for a bit. She didn't comment on the 'real' goal which is to get close to the Young Master.

However, this idea is not unique and everyone would try to do that.

"Great! Then come with us!"

Just like that the pair grabbed these two and proceeded to fly into the Sect.

"H-Hey!"

The elder at the gate exclaimed, then sighed with resignation.

"...They have no respect for old-fashioned admission methods." the older-looking elder said with annoyance.

"... It's not like we need to do things the old-fashioned way anyway." The Younger Elder shrugged without care.

It's not like one can 'sneak in' even if they could, they won't be able to use any of the facilities. Eventually, they ended up homeless and then they would end up caught and expelled or executed.

"Yes, but those two troublemakers will get someone killed one day."

"Even if they do, the Young Master will bring that person back to life."

The younger elder nonchalantly shrugged that off. He would rather work on his artefact than spend time here.

'Youngsters these days…' The ex-elder from the Supreme Ocean Palace could only sigh how quickly times are changing.

While the elders are taking care of the newcomers the pair of twins brought the 'lucky' girls into the Sect.
