Chu Yuechan frowned heavily. This was not working!

Xiao Long doesn't even pay attention to her! How is she supposed to talk with him when he doesn't even look at her?

Worse of all, she is demoted to an actual maid! 

Her, a Half Step Throne!? Even in the Phoenix Empire, Thrones are more respected! Even Sacred Grounds use Thrones as enforcers!

It was so degrading… Now she was dressed in Xiao Clan servant clothes instead of her regular Frozen Cloud attire.

Though… her competition is very stiff… Those ten Phoenix women are extremely talented in everything they do. Chu Yuechan saw them practise with musical instruments, painting, food making, cleaning, and tea-making ceremonies…

The Divine Phoenix Empire has trained them strictly. 

As Chu Yuechan was thinking she finished doing her duty of resources management. The issue with this was… that all these godly pills were right in her face…

And she can't touch them…it makes her nearly go crazy each time she sees the improved vitality pills, the improved sensory pills, the purifying pills!

Especially the purifying pills! Just one would make her have her breakthrough!

"You have been spacing out for a while. You okay? The temperature is not high for you is it?" 

His voice made her snap out and get herself together quickly.

"... then…can I transfer my contribution points from Frozen Cloud to Xiao Clan?"

"No. Since contribution points are money which you earned through contributions to your Palace. So far you didn't do much to the Xiao Clan."

Chu Yuechan bit her lower lip for a second before stiffly nodding at him.

"I understand, Young Master Xiao."

"Hmm… I do think you need a small incentive." 

As he said that he put his hand on her shoulder. Frozen Beauty's eyes followed where his hand went. She was looking at what he was about to do.

At that moment she felt warm energy entering her, expanding through her whole body. This made her bite her lower lip once more.

The black-haired fairy has not felt like this before. She doesn't understand why such a feeling is rising inside of her. 

Soon this energy has completely circulated through her body and at that moment one of her sealed Profound entrances just opened up.

The Profound energy which was in an imbalance in her body at that moment surged to the next level. 

Her eyes widened as she just experienced a breakthrough!

"There, now you have achieved the realm of Thrones. Be a good and obedient girl and I might pay more attention to you. You might not know it but I can sense when someone is looking at me."

At that moment Chu Yuechan felt like she wanted to kill herself! So embarrassing! He knew all along that she was watching him!

"What do you say?"

"...Y-Yes…Young Master." 

He nodded at her, At that moment his hand went down from her shoulder to her waist… before sneaking over and squeezing her ass. 

"!!!"

"Good girl. I will be watching you."

After saying that he went back to doing his things while the fairy stood there rooted in place. She realised that Xiao Long does have an interest in her but he for some reason is not doing anything to her.

Chu Yuechan already got over that she will be his toy, but why wait? Shouldn't the male just push her down and do his things?

At that moment she realised that he has many women around him… 

Frozen Beauty narrowed her eyes.

Seeing the expecting eyes of Chu Yuechan is amusing, but she is not ready. No, not until she drops whatever reason she thinks that I should do something to her.

The old man pulled out several books and scrolls from the space storage and handed them over to me.

Supreme Ocean Palace arts are split into two. The Ocean arts, these specific arts focus on barriers and seals.

And the weather arts, or more specifically Lightning arts…

Turns out my grandmother is a genius in Lightning arts, as she has been mentioned by the fifth elder. These are the offensive arts of the Supreme Ocean Palace.

So you have walls and lightning blasts… a kinda interesting mix…

'Hmm… let's see what I can do with this…'

After skimming through the content to get a general idea I proceeded to dive into these arts.

The offence was quite impressive, but I needed to work on barriers and improve ways to seal someone in place. So I started practising them.

The manual explains in detail how to solidify Profound energy and how to make walls out of them. But these are just mere foundations. 

Once you have solid blocks of energy you can add 'flavours', 'locks' whatever suits your needs.

What I practised is 'writing' on these walls. 

It's not easy…

In truth, this is extremely hard. Not only the walls are temporary but you have to have a paragraph of profound runes stamped on it instantaneously before releasing this wall. And that's just one wall.

You need at least four releases around the same time, to pin down someone. Speed is crucial in fights in higher realms. So being slow is not an option unless you set a trap. But that's a setup not possible every single time.

Regardless I went out of my clan and into the wilderness to start practising. 

Using the method I want regularly was simply impossible, so I started to channel my hyperfocus.

Hyperfocus is an augmented version of regular focus, in truth, I never used it outside simple training. So it was quite a surprise that I can think in an accelerated fashion. It's like you can ignore everything around you and just do your thing.

So with Hyperfocus, my offensive style of sealing is quite…passable? 

I lifted my hand and a wall appeared. Next second there was a wall of text and the wall became quite solid.

To test it out I punched it. 

There was just a small dent in it. Which quickly fixed itself.

"...Hmm…not bad…" 

'My lvl 10 Profound Runes help here quite a bit.'

After thinking for a bit I motioned a few more times and more barriers appeared, the next moment texts appeared on them as well. Becoming more robust and solid looking.

'It was not bad, but not something which could keep a Throne level being pinned down.

I need to improve the barriers to the point that they could.'

So I started casting and casting. Walls after walls would manifest. To keep it more entertaining I used different texts to be used on these walls.

As hours went on the barriers became more diverse, sharp corners, bendy walls, or simply not walls at all, like spears, or even swords made from hard solidified Profound energy and with few paragraphs of profound runes on them.

'So, that's how it is…'

I lifted my hand and showed my palm, and at that moment a solid stone-like wall appeared in front of me. This was by no means a stone wall. It was just as solid as stone and looked like stone but it was pure Profound energy. 

Though the issue was… it takes a lot of Profound energy to cast a single wall like this.

Something like this could only be possible with Profound Energy Manipulation.

'I need to reach the Throne level and have access to Domains to make this work at the highest level.'

With a new mission in mind, I summoned an exquisite-looking box and opened it. Taking the Throne jade bottle and opening it.

Pulling out a single pill I closed the bottle and put it back in the box before storing it away.

I sat down crossed-legged before popping the pill.

Once the pill landed in my stomach it dissolved into pure energy and then started to flow into my Profound Veins.

My cultivation started to soar. Reaching Sixth… and then slowly [Seventh of Sky Profound].

Stopping around midway towards [Eighth of Sky Profound].

*Sigh*

'It's getting more and more difficult to progress from simple pills.'

A throne pill only gave two small realms barely. This is where I started to think about those stashed away crystals. I should start incorporating them into my pills for improved speed of cultivation. 

For now, though, it is time to return home…

Need to see my wife and the maids.

The moment Xiao Long returned home, Xia Qingyue got on her feet. Like a gust of wind, she disappeared from their bedroom and appeared just around the corner.

She pretended to look like she was just walking. As she doesn't want anyone else to get his attention but her. And the maids know. As his wife, she is supposed to be the first one to interact with him.

"Husband~"

The beauty looked like she floated to his side and got into his hands. For a moment the pair kissed. She then pulled back. There was a small smile on her lips.

Her greeting was executed perfectly. She then took his hand.

"I made something nice to eat. Why don't you follow me to the dining room." 

She gently guided him to the dining room, though her senses picked up that he got even stronger. There was a certain sour feeling to this as he was running away from her. Xia Qingyue is running out of ideas on how to make him pay attention to her.

The only thing she could rely on is being affectionate and paying attention to him. 

Once at the table, the maids brought the food to them. This was where the beauty ended up sitting on his lap. She is using all the things she knows about him and what he likes. So ending up on his lap is the best method to make him pay attention to her.

To top this up she decided to feed him as well. 

After finishing his food. The pair were just lazing in the chair. Xia Qingyue was just leaning on his chest, his hand was stroking her back. This was where he decided to talk.

"...I was wondering if you want to learn any sort of Profound arts for self-defence. Since so far you only learned the Xiao Sect Sword arts."

"...Hmm…"

His question got her thinking. Her mind very quickly went to what he did in Frozen Cloud. How her inability to keep those fairies away from him ended up him learning Frozen Cloud arts, and even developing an advanced form of Dual Cultivation which made her pout angrily that he has not shared that thing with her yet! 

So she will do this in a roundabout way…

"I want to learn ice… this way I will help you to cultivate even faster~ what do you think husband? Shouldn't you teach your wife about those naughty techniques you learned by practising on those fairies?"

"Oh… I see… this could work…"

Xiao Long slowly nodded. Yes, if he teaches Yin arts to his girls then they would generate more Yin Profound energy which he could refine via Yin and Yang Dual Cultivation.

"Yes. What do you say, husband? Qingyue is ready for any technique~" 

"Very well."

He then got up on his feet, in the process he picked his wife up and took her to the living room. 

Over there he proceeded to teach her Frozen Cloud arts and Ice Phoenix God Investiture Canon the ultimate form of ice.

With these two arts. She could proceed to become a very powerful ice user.

Though this is where Xia Qingyue overestimated one thing… she doesn't have his system, so it will take her days if not weeks to grasp everything that he just transferred to her.

Still…while his wife was busy, his maids were all eager to please him. Especially the new maids, the Divine Phoenix Empire specifically prepared them to be the best women possible so that Xiao Long would have an extremely good opinion towards the Empire.

I sighed for a bit. It was a stretch to believe that I would reach [Emperor Profound]. By taking those girls' Vital Yins…they practised fire arts, so their vital yins were not as potent as Frozen Cloud Palace Fairies. 

Still, I was able to reach half ways point to [Ninth of Sky Profound] 

Sadly my escapades can't last forever. My cultivation needs to settle down. 

For this, the best way is to go back to work and get some practice done.

I swiftly went to work on those storage areas. Instead of iron, I used the crystal I brought from Frozen Cloud to keep places cold. One needs to use cold materials like the crystal from Frozen Cloud. Those things emit cold on their own. 

In just a few short days I had the rooms ready to keep, purifying grass, sensitivity grass, catalyst grass, and Desert Flower in cool condition.

Though, I altered the room slightly for Desert Flower, as it's a desert vegetation so it has to be dry, not wet conditions. 

It was interesting alteration work. As it was getting boring writing the same text over and over again. 

Regardless, it was done.

With the rooms done, my gaze went to the clan's expanding area.

To have a better understanding of how the clan is growing I went to the skies and looked at it from high above.

'If I were to have this mountain as the centre of the floating island then we could expand the city around the mountain.

Using the mountain as the base, it would make the ground more solid.'

After looking at this from the high up I went down to ground level and proceeded to mark where the boundaries of this project will be.

Not only that but I will be able to work on my Wind Profound Energy. Practising this on the ground to dig up blocks of dirt will be a good way to do two things at once.

~~~~~~~Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace~~~~~~

With a burst of energy, Chu Yueli felt how her cultivation soared and reached [Eighth of Sky Profound].

The younger sister of Frozen Beauty was elated that she finally reached the next small realm. 

Unlike her sister, her potential was smaller and there were doubts that she would ever reach the realms of Thrones.

But it all changed when Xiao Long captured her for observing his clan.

Yes, observing. The Fairy will never agree that she was spying. It's not spying since she was not hiding from anyone.

Regardless, Chu Yueli happily stood up from her icy bed. She could feel that the amount of Profound Energy in the air has increased. It helped her to cultivate. So she is wondering what is going on.

After removing the profound bubble she left her small icy house and looked around.

"Hmm… strange…is it just me or the air is different."

The Fairy started to float and then proceeded to fly towards the main Palace.

The first thing she noticed was that the garden grew in size… a lot. The Contribution Palace has a multitude of letters glowing on its walls. 

It's like…something major happened. So she spread out her senses…

Something was off… she can sense one mid and a late Thrones… but she can't sense the early to mid throne… it's like… the Mistresses took a major leap in cultivation!

Chu Yueli swiftly flew to the Main Palace and walked inside. Seconds later she saw a beautiful woman who looks like Palace Mistress sitting on the icy throne.

"...Palace…Mistress?"

"Li'er? You finally left the closed-door cultivation?" 

Hearing that it was the Palace Mistress made the Younger Sister of Chu Yuechan baffled and out of words…what should she say?

"...Mistress…what happened?"

"Xiao Long has visited us."

"!!!"

A single name was enough to root her in her spot. He was here!? And she missed him!? How cruel is this!? Her timing was this bad!?

"W-What happened…Mistress?" Chu Yueli asked with trepidation.

"With Grand Mistress' permission, I gave Frozen Cloud to Xiao Long. From now on, we belong to him. He already improved the Palace, thicker Profound energy, and more pills options in Contribution Palace."

Gong Yuxian explained to her with a tranquil tone.

"...And…what else? I can't sense my sister anymore…"

"I gave Chan'er to him, her looks and talent would be more appreciated with him."

"!!!"

This made Chu Yueli bite her lower lip. This was annoying! She planned to do just that! She very quickly realised how much greater the opportunities are if she is with him. 

"...if this is the case then I can go to him and offer my services?"

"Of course. Frozen Cloud belongs to him. You want to be next to him then you can do it." This was where the Palace Mistress barely sounded tranquil at all. Even Chu Yueli noticed that something was off.

"I understand, I will go to see him at once."
