Collecting Fairies like a Young Master

Xia Qingyue looked at the twins. There was an unreadable look on her face.

The girl has no idea how to deal with these fawning girls…

"Waaa… You are so beautiful, Big sis!" 

"Yeah! I can't believe this is Big Brother's wife." 

The pair of cute animal-like girls is something she has no idea how to establish boundaries. Her goal is to be the First wife, the Queen of her Husband's Harem. But with these two…she has no idea how to establish this hierarchy…

The pair asked her, which only made her out of words…

Thinking for a while, she decided to wait for such an opportunity, for now, she will play along.

Mu Lingxue was perplexed. It has happened. The Frozen Cloud is now fully under Xiao Long.

This means she can make her advances. But how? She has no experience in this.

Though soon enough she realised that she might not need to do anything. As Xiao Long approaches her if he needs anything.

"Lingxue, come over here." 

The Fairy walked over to his side. She was still quite stiff with this kind of interaction.

"Young Master?"

"I was thinking about investing in some of the fairies, and you are at the top of the list. 

Tell me, are you willing to follow me?"

Her heartbeat accelerated quite a bit when she heard that. She gulped down nervously.

"...Y-Yes…I will follow you… anywhere…Young Master." 

She said that with a stuttering voice.

"Good. Then I don't mind investing in your strength. It won't be long until you will become MY Frozen Beauty."

This made her heartbeat start to get out of control. She understood what this meant… 

He is going to make her strong, like really strong! 

"Now follow me."

Mu Lingxue slowly nodded before starting to follow him. Her cheeks are red, and her mind is spinning with thousands of ideas. Some of them are innocent, others…not so much.

Once the pair were in a private room, Xiao Long asked her to sit down and show him her back.

The beauty followed his command without any sort of question. Once she took her seat, the Young Master placed his hand on her back.

At that moment she sensed a pair of energies entering her body. It started to circulate through her veins and body. 

Slowly…she could feel her Profound Entrances starting to open…which made her heartbeat once again start to race.

'Heavens…this is so easy for him…'

Eventually, he stopped around when she had over 26 entrances open. 

"For the rest, you will need to take Purifying Baths. I still need to practise more with my Purifying water to have a greater effect."

When she heard that, it piqued her curiosity.

"...I don't mind, Young Master. You can practise this on me until all 54 are open."

"Oh? I thought you Fairies want to get this done over with as quickly as one can."

"...Normally…yes…but this situation is different."

"Curious. So, you are being considered. Very fascinating."

"...Is the Young Master testing me?" Mu Lingxue asked with a slightly nervous look.

"...Of course I am. I test my wife, and my maids all the time. And I do try to make it at random times."

*Gulp*

"...M-May I ask why?"

"And why not? That's what Young Masters do. They test their followers, their loyalty, dedication, and things like that."

For a moment the fairy didn't know what to say. After all, she had never spoken with another Young Master before. 

"I understand…I won't disappoint you."

He slowly nodded at her before returning to his training which is to purify Mu Lingxue's profound entrances.

I thought to myself while mentally dismissing the notification. My gaze then went to Mu Lingxue's back. I never thought that this fairy would care more about me than her strength. That's a bonus in my books.

Trusting my gut this time was worth it.

"This should be it."

"Un. I feel so light now… so this is what it means to have Heavenly God's Spiritual Veins… amazing…"

"Is Lingxue happy?" I asked with a slightly teasing tone.

"...Very…it makes…slightly excited, to serve my Young Master." She said with a small blush.

Naughty, is the beauty thinking about something Frozen Cloud Fairy should not think about?

"Good. Since I have some pills for you."

As I said that I pulled out three orange pills.

"...These…" She looked at the pills with wide eyes.

"Improved Vitality pills. They should give you a stronger body and life force."

"...Oh…"

"Consume them." 

"..."

Mu Lingxue slowly nodded and took them from my hand.

"Eat them one by one. No need to rush."

"Understood."

Slowly I will make her strong. I always take care of what is mine.

A few minutes later, the fairy inspected herself, there was a certain awed look on her beautiful face.

"Good now your foundations should be much better. Why don't I teach you a few tricks?"

She turned around and looked at me. The fairy slowly nodded her head.

"I accept anything you give me, Young Master." 

"Good. Then come over. I will transfer a few techniques to you." 

With a nod, the girl walked over and I transferred [Profound Energy Control], [Water Profound Energy], [Profound Water], and [Focus] to her mind. 

[Water Profound Energy] and [Profound Water] would give her a different angle on the element, as all of her understanding of Water comes from Frozen Cloud Arts. 

Then [Profound Energy Control] will help to control the energy, she could even learn some things just from observing the flow of energy. It's important.

And [Focus] as she is a sword Fairy this will help her improve her Sword techniques.

"..."

"..."

"..."

For a few moments, she just stood there, there was a contemplating look on her face.

It lasted for a while.

"Did you process it?"

"Y-Yes…but Young Master… this is quite a bit of information…"

"It is. Why don't you process it and we can talk about this later?"

"Yes! Please! I will return to you when I have processed this!"

"No worries. Take your time."

After Mu Lingxue had left, I wasn't left alone, a few minutes later the twins found me. 

""Big Brother!""

The pair arrived.

"S-So can you help us?" One of them asked me, it's hard to differentiate them. As they look identical. 

"Sure. Come over, one at a time."

"Yes!"

After that, Xiao Long spent a while dealing with the twins. Helping them achieve Heavenly God's Profound Veins. 

And then improving physique and teaching a few tricks.

Once these things were done, he proceeded to experiment with the grasses and herbs.

The one he is interested in most is smoothing out Profound Energy. 

This grass has an enormous amount of potential when working with pills that have a lot of Profound Energy.

"Third Elder."

Seconds later, one of his Bodyguards appeared next to him.

"Yes? How can I help you, Young Master?"

"Find me [Sky Profound] beast. Kill it, bring its core and some meat from its neck. I will cook some food."

"!!!"

"It will be done."

Like a missile, the old man was gone. 

He nodded to himself before returning to some of the pill-making experiments.

Though… there was a frown on his face as he noticed something annoying…

While he has a lot of materials they won't stay fresh for long.

Since he has an improved array deployment art. He could come up with something to keep his materials fresh.

Just like that, he changed his mind, there are quite a few pills in the Contribution Palace, so he doesn't need to do anything, while the Fairies are busily expanding the gardens. So quite a bit of free time for him.

He pulled out a brush and some paper and proceeded to draw.

"Palace Mistress, does your Palace have some sort of place where Iron is produced, or your Palace buys the raw materials?" I asked the Head Fairy.

"Sadly the Frozen Cloud doesn't need Iron. Instead, we use Ice crystals." 

"Oh? May I check them out? I am building an array, I need something substantial."

Her eyes brightened when she heard that.

"Of course! Let me show you."

The Palace Mistress motioned for me to follow her. 

We proceeded to walk toward one of the snowy mountains in the corner of the Frozen Cloud grounds.

The way this place is built reminds me of RTS games where you start with a base next to several raw resources.

Mu Bingyun truly made this place last as long as it could.

Eventually, we entered a cave that looked like a mine. It was full of whitish crystals which reminded me of a sword used by Mu Lingxue. 

"These are extremely hard crystals that we use for our swords." Gong Yuxian explained to me as she showed the crystals.

"May I scan them?"

"Of course." 

Hearing the all-clear I walked forward and put my hand on the crystals.

I send a pulse of profound energy. 

My eyes widened at that moment as I realised how conductive was this material!

"This… is like an extremely refined iron I used to make my arrays!" I was extremely impressed by how such a thing is naturally found in nature! Or is it? This could be made by Mu Bingyun… who knows? That woman is Divine Sovereign!  

"Indeed. It's very easy to use for us. We don't need blacksmiths for our swords."

"True. I can see it just by scanning these. But just using it for weapons is extreme underuse of the material. You could use these for arrays, pills, and even in cultivation assistance." I said with a slightly excited tone.

This is like discovering a new element and just starting finding its true potential! 

"...I-I see…our Palace purely focuses on the Profound Way. We never thought beyond a certain point, Young Master Xiao." Gong Yuxian said with a slightly ashamed voice.

"Hmm, it's fine. I will take a few bits to make this array." 

"...may I ask what kind of array you are building?"

"An Array which will help to conserve the material longevity. While this place is extremely cold it helps to conserve to some level, but it doesn't help that Profound energy leaves from cut grass and herbs. So I will build something which could help in containing the Profound energy in the raw materials." I explained plainly to her as I am thinking of making it further and making an Array network even more impressive than the one I have in Xiao Clan.

Why? Because If I can make it I will be able to improve the one I have in Xiao Clan.

"...I-I see… then if you need anything your Fairies will help you."

I smiled upon hearing that. Truly 'Your'. She knows how to mince her words. 

"I will keep that in mind."

After cutting off and making four crystal rods we went back to the main Palace Grounds.

The Palace Mistress went back with me, there was an awkward silence between us as she wanted to ask something, but there was that certain amount of fear in doing that. Or at least I think it's because of that.

Eventually, she opened up.

"Young Master Xiao. I have heard that you… personally started to train Feng Hanxue, Feng Hanyue, and Mu Lingxue. Is there some sort of reason for such specific choices?" 

Ah yes… she ideally would want me to focus on Seven Fairies as they are the backbone of the Frozen Cloud.

"Reason? The reason would be that I like them more than others. The simplest of explanations would be that our personalities just fit. That's all I need to help them grow stronger."

"..."

"I understand your point of view, Palace Mistress. But if you want me to train YOUR fairies. They need to become MY Fairies. I need to like them, to add that little bit more of an effort."

"I-I understand! I will keep this in mind!" My tone has surprised her quite a bit. It's good that she understood that I am serious.

"Good. Then is this everything you wish to talk about? I am a busy Young Master after all." 

"N-No. This would be all. I will leave you to your work, Young Master Xiao."

"Hmm, Good." 

I love seeing these proud fairies squirm under my gaze. Especially the Palace Mistress. I still remember how she acts in front of someone she thinks is smaller calibre. Sadly I never saw such a thing in person, only in the book.

Setting down the array, the one Xiao Long wanted, is not hard, and at the same time not easy. It was not a new style or anything like that.

He already knows how to build walls from Profound Energy. Now what he needs is to improve on that.

The specific is that these walls should not absorb the Profound energy released by the materials like grasses and herbs.

Instead, they should bounce around and stay in the box.

That's the plan.

To build a box where Profound Energy stays.

For this, he created another mission for the Fairies. He wants to expand and improve the Contribution Palace. 

And since everything is built from snow and ice, it's extremely easy for these Fairies.

It only took a few short hours for the cold beauties to build what he wanted. 

Once he had these holding areas Xiao Long proceeded to start building this specific array. 

After finishing the first wall he tested out. By sending a simple blast of Profound Energy…

It bounced off…

"...Oh… did I just invent Profound Energy shields?" He mumbled to himself. Thinking more on the uses this specific array could be used for. 

He did read about the bubble style of defensive arrays, but those are quite crude, not easy to use, and not that versatile. 

But he could add these to airships… 

"A thought for later…"

After placing the first wall, and testing it successfully Xiao Long went and got some more crystals and proceeded to place them on the remaining walls, floor, and ceiling. 

What was left is some sort of source of light. 

'Right…I should create something like that… people around here still use torches and candles.'

Walking out from the room he looked at one of the fairies.

"Room is ready and you can start storing the herbs. Remember one specific herb per room, we don't want their Profound energies to mix. That is a recipe for disaster. You don't want to implode or explode do you?" 

The girl swiftly shook her head, for a few moments she was much paler than she usually looks.

"Good. I will improve other rooms soon, now I have something in mind."

After saying that he went to his makeshift workplace which is an extension of the Array house. 

Once there Xiao Long proceeded to work with a specific array that could work as a source of light.

It's between the lines of fire and light itself, in some translucent container, the energy could be the absorption of Profound energy from outside.

Not a difficult thing to create since he already has the means to create walls. So this time all he needed were extremely small walls and glowing energy outside and…

"Done…"

He looked at the glowing cube in his hand.

"Source of light."

It was time to adjust and improve the house.

All the girls looked curious at the improvements in the house. It was simply a glowing source of light and it was much better than all those candles they had been using.

Regardless, all of these small things made the time pass as the third elder was back.

*THUD!!!*

"Young Master! This old man apologises for taking this long but, I needed to be sure I found THE best Profound Beasts just for you!"

As Xiao Long left the array house, behind him were his girls. They all are confused about the loud noise. 

There was a mountain of colourful [Sky Profound] beasts… 

They all have been emitting different types of Profound energy. Fire, water, Lightning, Earth… 

The old man was not holding back 

'Someone is hungry…' Internally he snorted to himself. Food can be an extremely good motivator.

"No worries Third Elder. My thanks for such incredible results." 

"There is no need to thank me! I live to serve the Young Master."

'Damn…'

"Hmm, Good. I assume the cores have been—"

"Removed! As you have asked."

As the old man said, he opened a space crack and made cores float out and move towards Xiao Long. 

The Young Master collected them and then inspected them.

Those were legit [Sky Profound] Cores.

"Very good. I will find some uses for these. For now, let's get some food done."

"Glorious!"

The old man was excited! How could he not be!? That smell of roasted meat before made him feel like he is back in his twenties as a Young Man! Ready for a life-changing journey! It made his stomach rumble like there is no tomorrow! 

Truly… only his Young Master could make someone old like him feel young again! 

"Right… First, let's sort this out and see whatever use we could find. Lingxi, Dongling, come over, I need your help."

"Husband, let me help as well! This is something I can't miss!"

"Sure…"
